Chapter 150: Words of Love

"That’s such a waste," Qiong Xing said with a soft laugh. "But at the same time, it feels special knowing that I’m the only one who truly understands how wonderful you are."

When Qiong Xing said that, Elias looked surprised. Then, as if he could no longer hold back his feelings, he pulled Qiong Xing into a tight embrace.

"I have three mates," Qiong Xing continued softly. "Sometimes I might feel frustrated or dissatisfied about things. But just like all three of you whose love me, I also love the three of you... I love you, Elias. It’s not just because you’re my destined mate. That might have been the reason we met, but it’s only the beginning. I love you for who you are."

Qiong Xing knew that Leander, Elias, and Joa loved him deeply.

However, he was never completely sure whether he was able to return that love in the same way.

That was why he tried to express it clearly with words.

He wanted them to know that they were precious to him and that he wanted them to stay by his side.

"I love you too," Elias answered.

No matter what anyone else might say, Qiong Xing’s love for Elias, Leader, and Joa would never change.

Coming to this world had been a coincidence.

But meeting them felt like nothing less than a miracle.

Qiong Xing had long wished for warmth, family, and love.

Now he had received all of that from three different people.

Because of that, he silently thanked Lunios who had brought him to this world.

"I like them," Qiong Xing repeated gently. "When you smile at me with those beautiful eyes, it makes me really happy."

Those words were something Elias had never heard before.

When he had still been a slave, people often beat him because they disliked his eyes and his appearance.

They would say that his gaze looked rebellious.

Because of that, he had been punched and kicked many times.

Back then, he had often wished that people would simply leave him alone.

"But knowing that I’m the only one who understands how wonderful you are... that feels special too," Qiong Xing continued.

Yes, only one person.

Not anyone else.

As long as that one person, his precious mate, Qiong Xing understood him, that was enough.

It was enough that Qiong Xing had noticed.

"...I was alone for a long time," Elias said quietly. "You were the one who taught me something. You showed me that life could contain this much happiness. The reason I wanted a family... was because I was afraid you might leave me."

Unlike him, Qiong Xing was human.

That meant Qiong Xing had many possibilities in life.

He could have married a human woman.

Even now, that possibility might still exist. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Thinking about that sometimes filled Elias with anxiety.

Of course, part of him truly wanted a family of his own.

But the greater reason was that he wanted to keep Qiong Xing close to him.

Qiong Xing was a gentle person.

Elias believed that if they had a child together, Qiong Xing would never abandon that child and leave him to live with other humans.

"Are you disappointed?" Elias asked in a low voice. "The fact that I would use a precious life for something like that... even I feel sick thinking about myself. But... I’m scared. I only have you, Qiong Xing. You are everything to me."

Qiong Xing always gave him endless love, yet Elias was greedy.

Even with all that love, he still wanted more.

He still reached out for Qiong Xing again and again.

"What is there for me to be disappointed about?" Qiong Xing replied gently. "If anything, I feel happy knowing that you want me that much. There’s nothing for me to be angry or sad about. If you feel anxious, then I’ll say it as many times as you need to hear it... Elias, I love you."

Having a mate like Qiong Xing, Elias thought, made him luckier and happier than any other bonded pair in the world.

Tears quietly flowed down Elias’s face and Qiong Xing simply smiled and gave him several gentle kisses.

"If having a child helps you feel at ease, then that’s enough," Qiong Xing continued softly. "And it’s not like you won’t love this child, right? No matter what the reason was at the beginning, as long as you can love the child as your own, that’s what truly matters."

Even if the child had first been meant as a way to keep Qiong Xing close, it didn’t mean Elias wouldn’t care about the baby.

So in Qiong Xing’s mind, there was no real problem.

"But I was going to—" Elias started.

Before he could finish saying that he had planned to use the child for his own selfish reason, Qiong Xing gently covered his mouth with his hand.

"Do you know how happy I was when I heard that I was pregnant?" Qiong Xing said softly. "I’m carrying your child, Elias... the child of the man I love. That alone makes me incredibly happy. And seeing you happy about it too... that’s all I need."

Elias didn’t want to show such a pathetic side of himself.

But the tears wouldn’t stop coming out from his eyes when he heard Qiong Xing’s words.

His voice shook as he whispered, "Thank you."

Qiong Xing wrapped his arms around him and held him gently.

The hand that stroked his hair felt warm and comforting almost like how a parent might soothe a small child.

"And besides," Qiong Xing added with a light smile, "this is a child made by you and me. Of course the baby will be adorable. Even if the baby causes everyone trouble, I’m sure everyone will still love them very much."

Elias let out a small laugh through his remaining tears.

"Hah... so the child will cause trouble?"

"Well, the baby is mine too," Qiong Xing said playfully. "I truly hope the baby doesn’t inherit my bad habits, but people always say children resemble the worst parts of their parents."

"...That’s true," Elias admitted.
