A Favor Done, A Husband Won-Chapter 436 - 430: What If You Kick Daddy Off the Bed?
Shi Su nodded repeatedly, and the man’s soft, slightly cool lips had already accurately covered hers.
The gentle kiss gradually deepened and entangled, in the quietly cool air, the sound of each other’s breathing could be heard during the kiss, as if the flames had suddenly flared up, difficult to suppress.
Shi Su, who had originally retreated to the door, was suddenly picked up and placed on the cabinet.
The height was just right for both of them to look at each other at eye level. His gaze was dark and deep, like a vortex in the sea, kissing her again and again, from the forehead, to the eyebrows, to the tip of the nose, to the chin, and finally to her lips...
Shi Su’s shoulder suddenly felt cool, the air was filled with an intense sign of imminent danger, she tried to respond emotionally, but the man suddenly tightened his grip on her waist, about to carry her directly to the already made bed.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Knock knock——"
Both were startled, and then Mrs. Jing’s voice came from outside the door: "Jihan, Su, I see your room light is still on, are you not asleep yet?"
Shi Su stiffened, not moving a muscle, watching Jing Jihan. He was clearly not much better, exchanging glances for about a dozen seconds.
Mrs. Jing seemed to realize that knocking at such a late hour might not be appropriate, originally planning to take Mianmian back, but Mianmian’s voice also sounded from outside the door: "Great-grandma, are Daddy and Mommy taking a bath?"
"Uh..." Mrs. Jing let out a brief sound, seemingly unsure how to respond.
As soon as Shi Su heard Shi Mianmian’s words, she immediately pulled up the neckline that had slipped to her shoulder, hurriedly tidied her hair, and quickly rushed to the door as if nothing had happened.
Jing Jihan remained unmoved, looking downwards, his brow twitching twice, helplessly rubbed his forehead, and sighed with a smile.
Shi Su opened the door, only to see Mrs. Jing holding Mianmian’s hand as if considering leaving. Upon hearing the door, she turned to see Shi Su, and the elderly lady became a bit embarrassed: "Su, did we disturb you?"
"No, no." Shi Su smiled, also looking down at Mianmian: "Is Mianmian being too noisy?"
"No, Mianmian is very well-behaved. I was about to take her back to the bedroom to sleep, but she said she hadn’t seen Daddy much today and really wanted to chat with him, so I brought her here." Mrs. Jing smiled kindly, patting Mianmian’s little head: "Mianmian said she also wanted me to hold her to sleep, but she misses Daddy too much."
Shi Su looked at Mianmian, and Mianmian looked up at her: "Mommy, can I sleep with you and Daddy Jihan?"
Out of the mouths of babes, this seemed innocent enough, but Shi Su couldn’t help but blush. Mrs. Jing, still smiling, seemed to understand that she had unintentionally interrupted something, but knowing that the young couple had plenty of days ahead, the elder did not feel guilty for interrupting, but rather was gratified to ensure the couple had a good relationship.
Shi Su was too embarrassed to explain further, so she reached out and took Mianmian’s hand: "Alright, we’ll put her to bed, Grandma, you should rest early too."
"Okay, you sleep well. If Mianmian wants to find me in the night, she can come anytime. I am a light sleeper, a call will wake me." Mrs. Jing waved goodbye to Mianmian and then smiled at Shi Su before heading downstairs.
Shi Su hurriedly took Mianmian into the room. Jing Jihan had already walked over, and as soon as Mianmian saw him come in, she happily ran to him: "Daddy Jihan!"
In an instant, she was clinging to his leg.
A little expert at hugging legs, just like before.
Jing Jihan lifted Mianmian up, smiling at her: "Why aren’t you sleeping with Great-grandma?"
"Can I sleep with Great-grandma tomorrow? Today I want to be with Daddy Jihan." Mianmian giggled, hugging his neck: "Is that okay, Daddy?"
In the past, when Shi Su heard Mianmian call him Daddy, she was anxious and uncertain.
Now, hearing Mianmian call him Daddy, it only filled her heart with a sweet, bittersweet feeling.
She never dared to hope that one day Mianmian’s father would really be there for her to happily call Daddy.
"Okay, how do you want to sleep?" Jing Jihan gestured with his chin towards the bed: "Do you want to sleep next to Daddy or Mommy?"
"I want to sleep between Daddy and Mommy!" Mianmian happily raised her little hand: "I want to snuggle with both Daddy and Mommy! Is it okay to sleep in the middle?"
Jing Jihan put on a serious expression, as if deeply contemplating, not answering directly, but suddenly casting a meaningful glance at Shi Su.
Shi Su burst into laughter, shaking her head slightly, indicating that she wouldn’t interfere; it was his own daughter making the request, not her.
"Sleeping in the middle is fine, but won’t you end up kicking me in your sleep?" Jing Jihan teased, pinching her little leg and foot, laughing: "What if you kick Daddy out of bed?"
"No way!" Mianmian immediately denied.
"How could you not? You toss and turn in your sleep; I’ve been kicked by you hundreds of times." Shi Su chimed in.
"That’s not true, Mommy is lying!" Mianmian turned her head, sticking her tongue out at Shi Su: "Daddy, don’t believe Mommy, she’s a big liar. I’m a little princess, I don’t kick people!"
"I’m a big liar? What have I lied to you about?" Shi Su blinked, mimicking Mianmian.
Mianmian arrogantly turned away, wrapped her arms around Jing Jihan’s neck, and whispered in his ear: "Mommy is the big liar. She misses you so much she cried a lot, used a lot of tissues to wipe her tears and nose, all alone by the sofa, crying so sadly, her eyes swelled and her voice got hoarse, but didn’t tell anyone. Mommy is obviously a crybaby, but lied and said she doesn’t cry!"
Jing Jihan, matching Mianmian in tone, whispered back: "Really? When did this happen?"
"It was when you suddenly disappeared, and Mommy said we would never see you again." Mianmian explained, resting her little head on his shoulder, feeling a bit aggrieved: "Mommy cried so much I dared not mention Daddy Jihan’s name in front of her, afraid she would cry like that again... I never saw Mommy cry like that before..."
Jing Jihan glanced over at Shi Su.
Mianmian was whispering by his ear, so Shi Su couldn’t hear, not knowing what was being said. When Jing Jihan looked at her, and she saw Mianmian nestling against his shoulder, whispering who knows what, a sense of unease stirred in her, squinting her eyes with a threatening warning: "Shi Mianmian, what are you two talking about?"
