Chapter 322: Chapter 317: I’m Changing Clothes, What Are You...

Even though there was clearly no one in the room, Jing Jihan leaned close to her ear and spoke in a low voice.

Shi Su: "..."

She almost exploded on the spot, her mouth gaping in disbelief.

Suddenly, she turned her eyes towards the direction of the bathroom and then looked back at him, staring intently.

No wonder he took so long in the bathtub last night... turns out he wanted to get back what was owed from last time...

Mr. Jing’s earlier words were full of care for Jing Jihan’s girlfriend, and Mrs. Jing finally put down her chopsticks, unable to eat. She sat silently for a while.

After a moment, Mrs. Jing said, "Mr. Jing, Sixue will be in Jiang City for a year, and I should return to the United Kingdom soon. This child grew up with me, and she’s my only daughter. Although I do spoil her, Sixue is sensible and very respectful to elders. I hope you will take good care of her when she’s with the Jing Family, and I also wish Jihan will look after her."

"Since she’s now a member of the Jing Family, taking care of her is a given. However, Sixue is grown up, not a child. Doesn’t A University have dormitories? Why isn’t she staying on campus?" Mr. Jing asked.

"Sixue didn’t live on campus while studying abroad, and now that she’s in the country, I don’t plan on her staying there either. She’ll commute with the Jing Family’s driver." Mrs. Jing replied with a smile.

Mr. Jing raised an eyebrow: "Fine, let her stay at home; this old man will have company."

Jing Luozhou seized the opportunity: "Now that you have a new granddaughter to accompany you, Grandpa, does this mean I can go back to the medical college..."

"Shut up, you’re going to work at the company during the day and be back here at night, on time." Mr. Jing glared at him.

Jing Luozhou rolled his eyes silently at the ceiling in the front hall.

Mrs. Jing looked at her younger son, Jing Luozhou, with a smile and asked, "Luozhou, have you still not let go of your dream of being a doctor?"

For this mother, Jing Luozhou had hardly any interaction with her since he was young, and their relationship was distant. Hearing her question, he merely responded with a faint "Mm," uninterested in continuing the conversation.

Mrs. Jing wasn’t upset, and she turned to Jing Sixue and said, "You and Luozhou are the same age; he’s also your brother. If Jihan is too busy sometimes, you can go to him if you need help. Although he seems unreliable, he can actually be quite dependable."

Jing Sixue nodded and formally greeted Jing Luozhou, "Hello, Second Brother."

"..." Jing Luozhou shivered internally.

She calls Jihan ’Brother Jihan’ so affectionately, but just calls him ’Second Brother’—it’s way too obvious where her feelings lie.

Jing Luozhou seemed not to hear; he did not respond, simply used a napkin to wipe his mouth and said, "I’m done eating, enjoy your meal."

With that said, he got up and walked out without looking back.

If this had been a regular day, Mr. Jing would definitely have scolded him, but today he was uncharacteristically lenient, saying nothing as he continued to slowly pick at his pickled vegetables.

Mrs. Jing clearly felt slighted by her own son’s coldness, her face betraying her emotion a bit: "Luozhou isn’t close to me. That’s just how he talks normally. Sixue, since you two are the same age, the more you interact, the better you’ll get along."

After Jing Sixue acknowledged her, she glanced towards the two empty seats at the table that no one had occupied.

Though Shi Su drank a lot last night and her memory was a bit hazy, the exhaustion she felt upon waking up reminded her exactly how long Jing Jihan had "bullied" her.

After breakfast, she lazily lay on the sofa in the bedroom, the curtains open and sunlight spilling in, warm and comfortable on her skin.

Usually, because she had to shoot films, at home she was either with Mianmian, busy reading scripts, reviewing business contracts, or reading books on acting. She rarely had such a leisurely time to lie in her bedroom and soak up the sun.

Especially since this was the Jing Family’s place, this kind of laziness was indeed rare.

Lying on the sofa, she was almost dozing off when she heard someone knocking on the door. It was Hui bringing back the clothes she wore yesterday, washed and dried.

Shi Su had been wearing Jing Jihan’s clothes all morning and hadn’t even noticed when Hui took hers out to wash.

Jing Jihan placed the clothes Hui brought on the sofa, and Shi Su picked them up, smelling the laundry detergent’s fresh scent, with the alcohol smell from last night completely gone.

As she hid in the walk-in closet to change, she asked, "Does Mr. Jing already know I’m here?"

"Yes."

Suddenly hearing the man’s voice behind her, Shi Su turned abruptly, the zipper of her dress still undone, seeing the man somehow already standing at the walk-in closet’s door, his broad stature almost filling the doorway.

Her face heated up, and she quickly zipped up her dress, reaching out for her top.

Still wearing his shirt, she had pulled on her skirt first, but now putting on her top meant taking off the shirt. Holding the top in hand, she said, "I’m changing, don’t look..."

"I’ve already seen." The man had no intention of leaving.

Shi Su glanced at him, about to urge him out, but the man stepped inside.

No matter how large the Jing Family residence is, this was just a bedroom with a separate walk-in closet. The space inside wasn’t very big—enough for one person to change comfortably—but for two, it was cramped. Especially with Jing Jihan, a man nearly six feet three inches tall, stepping inside, he blocked the light from the doorway and almost covered most of the light above her head.

She instinctively took a step back, but he was already reaching out to pull her towards him.

Shi Su was a bit embarrassed, nestling against his chest, "I’m changing, what are you..."

Before she finished, he suddenly unfastened a button on the man’s shirt she was wearing.

Shi Su: "..."

Her mind buzzed, with little sparks fizzling in disorder.

Even though they have done all sorts of things together... even slept together...

But changing clothes like this still felt overly intimate, especially since she was wearing his shirt.

The shirt’s buttons on her were already being undone by his long and distinctly-jointed fingers, and Shi Su’s heart raced uncontrollably. She lifted her hand to grasp the now-open collar, "I’ll take it off myself, you leave, leave..."

Jing Jihan, clasping her waist, held her against him, seeing her face flush red, leaned down to peck her on the lips, and held her like that, resting his forehead against hers, "What part of you haven’t I seen? What’s there to be shy about me helping you get dressed?"

The air in the walk-in closet heated instantly with his words, and Shi Su was so enveloped by his voice that she didn’t hear the knocking sound from outside at that moment.
