A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin-Chapter 430 - Three Peaks
Buzz!
A wave of dizziness washed over Li Guanqi. When he opened his heart’s eye again, he was in an unknown space.
“This place is really mysterious,” a voice said suddenly in his ear.
Li Guanqi grabbed the thing on his shoulder and flung it away.
The force sent Peng Luo flying faster than a cannonball. With a loud boom, he crashed into the mountains below.
“Brother Li! That was way too much force! I wouldn’t be able to get up if not for those three pills!”
Li Guanqi finally realized what he’d done. A cloud of smoke rose from the dense forest below, where Peng Luo’s voice came from.
Li Guanqi frowned. With a flash of lightning beneath his feet, he appeared in the crater. “Weren’t you inside? How did you get out?”
Peng Luo shrugged innocently. “You mean the space in the sword box? That was easy. After going there a few times, I figured out how to get in and out on my own. It’s a special ability of mine. How do you think I survived unscathed in Hell River City for so many years?” 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Li Guanqi did not really believe Peng Luo.
The realm in the sword box wasn’t a regular space, nor did it have any cracks. It was an independent, complete space. How could Peng Luo come and go without his permission?
Buzz!
Explosions suddenly rang out from the distant sky. Li Guanqi rushed toward the source of the sound.
Whoosh!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
“Meng Jia! You bastard! We’ve known each other for three hundred years! How dare you betray me!” a blood-drenched man shouted, clutching his belly.
Another man in a black cloak chased after him, though his cloak was tattered and exposed his face. “Xiang Yuanming, I suggest you hand the Flying Cloud Fruit over now. Seeing as we’ve known each other for three hundred years, I won’t kill you.”
He swung his sword several times as he spoke. The severely injured Xiang Yuanming defended desperately.
Violent earth vital force gathered around him, forming countless thorns that shot toward Meng Jia. But they were useless—Meng Jia flew past them and struck Xiang Yuanming’s back with his sword.
Li Guanqi watched coolly. Flying Cloud Fruit?
Peng Luo lay on his shoulder and transmitted, “Tsk tsk. That’s a good find. If you eat it, you’ll instantly advance to the peak of the mid Divine Transformation Realm!”
Li Guanqi pursed his lips. “It would only be a small increase for me. I have a Saint Spirit Root, you know.”
Peng Luo had been shocked too many times that day to even be surprised. “Uh... That’s how awesome the Empty Spirit Physique is. Even your spirit root is a Saint Spirit Root! But still, the Flying Cloud Fruit is a rare find.”
Xiang Yuanming clenched his teeth, pulled out a white fruit wreathed in pale mist, and hurled it behind him. The moment he released it, he used a sprint technique to flee.
Meng Jia’s eyes lit up. He caught the fruit with a smirk.
Pfft!
Xiang Yuanming looked down slowly, disbelief written across his face. A sword had pierced through his body. He turned his head with great difficulty and roared, “Meng Jia! You... you dishonorable scum!”
“Hehe. After so many years, did you really not know how dishonorable I could be?”
Whoosh!
A flash of sword light, and Xiang Yuanming was cut to pieces.
The moment Meng Jia turned around, every hair on his body stood on end.
A strange man with a large black coffin on his back stood just three chi away, staring at him.
A chill shot through Meng Jia’s body. Uncontrollable terror filled his heart. He had no idea when this man had appeared behind him, which meant the stranger’s cultivation was far above his own.
Meng Jia held up the Flying Cloud Fruit with trembling hands.
“Could you not... kill me...”
Pfft!!
A severed head flew high into the air. Meng Jia’s eyes were still filled with unwillingness.
Li Guanqi took both of their storage rings, then turned to look at a figure in black standing a hundred zhang away.
The figure seemed to sense that Li Guanqi was not one to cross. They turned and left.
Li Guanqi looked around. He extended his divine consciousness in all directions like a tidal wave.
He bit into the fruit. Though white on the outside, the flesh was blue. Sweetness flooded his mouth, and the juice transformed into pure vital force that rushed straight to his dantian.
Peng Luo stared at the fruit and drooled.
Li Guanqi left him the last bite, then cut another small piece and tossed it to Nine Heavens.
Peng Luo gnawed on it and even swallowed the seed. Tearfully, he said, “The things I’ve had today have been better than everything I’ve eaten in the past five hundred years!”
He ignored Peng Luo. Li Guanqi realized they were likely in the outer region of the secret realm. Endless mountains covered in a dense forest stretched in all directions. Even in the outer region, countless immortal herbs and spirit fruits lay hidden.
Explosions boomed constantly.
Counting those who had been hiding in the shadows, approximately four hundred cultivators had entered the realm. Even some Nascent Soul Realm cultivators who weren’t afraid of death had entered.
But in just half an hour, half of the one hundred and ten Nascent Soul Realm cultivators had died.
Li Guanqi shook his head.
The secret realm was enormous, spanning over a thousand li in radius. The space was incredibly stable. Even when using all of his strength, he could only slightly distort the surrounding space.
Li Guanqi narrowed his eyes and muttered, “Looks like I can only get out when the secret realm opens again.”
He looked around, then flew deeper into the realm without hesitation.
From the sky, Li Guanqi could see the terrain clearly. An endless sea of mountains stretched below, with layered peaks extending as far as the eye could see.
The slopes were treacherous, and clouds wrapped around the summits, making for a magnificent sight. The clouds were formed from extremely dense spirit qi.
Along the way, he saw many fights break out among the cultivators, but none of the items impressed him. He had no desire to waste time in the outer region.
As he ventured deeper, he spotted a tall mountain more magnificent than the rest, extending directly into the clouds above.
On its peak was a beautiful, shiny golden tower.
Li Guanqi squinted. The best treasure in this secret realm is probably in that tower.
He also noticed three mountain peaks surrounding the central mountain.
One blade radiated a terrifying sharpness, while another was wreathed in multicolored flames. The last one had storm clouds swirling around its peak, with lightning striking it constantly.
A pillar of light extended from each peak into the clouds, as if forming a seal that locked the central mountain away.
Even dozens of li away, he could sense battles breaking out near the three peaks.
His eyes flashed, and he shot toward the lightning-filled peak. He had a feeling that whatever was on that mountain would be very important to him.
