Chapter 65: Passion

The land turned parallel, a plain of green extending as far as the eye could see. The grass was tall beneath them. Butterflies of different colors perched on the vast field creating a scenery close to paradise. Elena had never seen anything like it!

Gabriel pulled the reins to force the horse to a halt. He watched Elena’s stupefied gaze from the side, a smile lighting his face, a smile that reached his eyes.

"We’re here," he announced, alighting from the horse. He lifted Elena effortlessly and placed her on the ground. The horse started eating the grass unbothered.

Elena’s eyes were still wide in disbelief. Never in her wildest dream had she thought such a place existed, not to mention in the vampire realm.

She stretched her hands on the grass that nearly matched half her height. The butterflies took flight, the mixture of their colors creating a spectacular view just a few meters above her head.

With her hands brushing on the parallel canopy of the grass, she watched in amusement as the butterflies mixed up and perched not too far from where she was. She turned to look at Gabriel who had his hands crossed over his chest.

"This is beautiful!" She commented in a plausible whisper.

Gabriel smirked, the innocence in her eyes making her look like an angel in paradise. But he was dark, like the dirt on a white clothing.

"Give me your hand," he said. Elena took a step resting her hand in his. He was still cold but she was used to it by now. He plucked a yellow flower from his side. "May I?"

Elena nodded incessantly like a little child. Gabriel cupped her cheeks first before tucking the stray strands of her hair behind her ear. He placed the flower on her side, a satisfactory smile lacing his face.

"I thought it’d look good on you," he added, his eyes never leaving hers. She smiled touching the flower but still taking care not to ruin it.

"How do I look?" She enquired, equally curious.

Gabriel let his eyes study her face for a while. Today, she looked so happy, and he wanted her smile to last for a lifetime! He took in her features, engraving every inch of her in his mind.

"You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on," he replied, a smile lighting his face when she blushed. "Let me show you something."

He held her hand and led her through the tall grass until they saw a large tree in the middle of the ’paradise’. Elena’s eyes bulged in bewilderment. The leaves were purple, a lively chatter of birds inviting her from a distance.

"Go on," Gabriel urged her. He let go of her hand and she ran down the remaining distance like a little girl who just saw her father after a very long time. He had never seen her so happy in one day. He smiled for the nth time it nearly hurt.

The fallen leaves created a blanket of purple beneath the tree. Elena sprawled on the ground sniffing the scent of the purple leaves. They smelt of...was it honey?

"Why didn’t you bring me here before?" She asked when Gabriel was close.

"You didn’t trust me back then," he replied, leaning on the tree. Elena crawled to where he sat.

"How did you find out about this place?" She asked, her eyes drinking in the unseen beauty. It still felt too good to be true. Or maybe it was a daydream!?

"It’s a long story," Gabriel said, his eyes focusing on a purple leaf that was falling. His eyes tracked it until it rested on Elena’s hair, and down to meet with her pretty blue eyes.

"I want to hear it, all of it," she said, caressing his cheeks. Gabriel sighed softly.

"It’s not a pleasant one I might warn." He searched her eyes but she was still waiting. He sighed again, casting his eyes to the canopy.

"I was just eight then," he started. "I wanted to see how the knights trained but the queen wouldn’t let me. She said it’s a privilege only meant for the purebreds, and reminded me what I was, a bastard. A motherless child born out of wedlock. I was so young then, but the things I had seen had taught me how cruel this world can be."

"Curious as I was, I snuck out of my room. That time, I used to sleep in the maid’s quarters. The royalty chambers were out of bounds or so the queen forbid. I peeped through a hole in the backyard and saw Brandon train with a lance while I was denied the chance."

"My younger self couldn’t take it anymore. I ran out of the palace, hoping nobody would come after me. Nobody did anyways. I went East, where no one has ever been before. I run until I couldn’t feel my little feet anymore. When I tripped, I saw the world disappearing away from me. It looked too real to be true. The peace, the calm, the silence. It was what I needed that time, and this place just happened to give me that."

He released another sigh, his eyes already moist. He turned to look at Elena, panic instantly invading his senses. She was crying!

"Don’t cry El. You’re perfect!" His thumb wiped a tear off her cheeks. Elena held his hands, her eyes laced in sympathy.

"I’m sorry you had to go through all that pain in your childhood," she intoned. Gabriel removed the purple leaf on her chair and smoothened it with his hand. He found her eyes again, a rush of emotions coursing through his body, mind and soul. What did this woman do to him?

"When I’m with you, everything else becomes meaningless to me." He cupped her cheeks and pressed his forehead on hers. "We’re the only ones that matter! No one else."

His heart raced in an alien way, as if rooting for the unspoken emotions he held for her. His heart, he realized, was beating for hers. She was the sole reason he looked forward to seeing the next day, why he yearned to return to that haunted castle.

"I __ I can’t live without you El," he whispered, his voice a mix of emotions. She had never seen him so vulnerable. His lips brushed lightly against hers, igniting the spark into flickers. His breath fanned against her skin, his breath mixing with hers in this paradise.

He held her cheeks, his golden eyes drowning into hers. For once, Elena could see the unspoken emotions in his eyes. Her heart hammered against her ribcage in anticipation. His simple touch made her nervous, every waking second seeming to put the world to a complete halt.

"I love you El," he whispered, his voice low but certain. If her heart was beating right now, that, she couldn’t tell. The words seemed to have disappeared in her throat.

"Gabriel," was the only thing she managed to say before he sealed her lips into a heated kiss. He gently pushed her to the ground, the dry leaves clutching beneath her. His kiss was rough, imploring her insides like a ravenous lustful beast.

His hands found the hem of her dress and raised it to reveal her lower body. With his lips now trailing on her neck, he whisked off her undergarments. His hand gently stroked the sensitive spot between her legs, instantly creating the fireworks in her mind.

She tugged her hands tightly around his neck as if beckoning him to claim her. And claiming he did. He snaked his fingers up her dress to squeeze her breasts gently. He halted on his tracks to meet with her eyes.

"Why __ Why did you stop?" She asked, craning her head in disappointment.

Gabriel’s lips curved into an evil smirk. "I want us to do it while standing."

Elena’s cheeks flushed at the image that crossed her mind on the mention of it. "Is that a good idea?"

"Do you trust me?" Gabriel asked.

She nodded faintly. Gabriel stretched his hand out and helped her to her feet. He placed her hands on the bark of the tree and whispered, "Bend over!"

Elena caught her lower lip between her teeth in embarrassment before she obliged as he had instructed. Gabriel arched her back into a C position, a satisfactory smile lacing his lips. He lifted her dress, the cold wind making Elena to press her legs together.

Gabriel however kicked her legs apart before he released his ranging monster from his pants. His hands spread her butt cheeks, Elena gasping in surprise when he completely filled her.

Using her back to support himself, Gabriel pistoned. Elena’s moans made the birds scatter from the purple tree in fright! He snaked his hands through her dress to knead her peaches. It felt heavenly sweet to make love to her in such an environment. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

They both came at the same time, resting on the purple ground trying to catch their breath.
