A Bastard's Allure-Chapter 124: Renewed Mark
Allicent had been standing in the same position for almost half a day now. Her feet felt sore but she couldn’t kneel, not in front of Azazel at least. Her long hair covered most of her face, her eyes cast on the ground all the while.
The chains tied to her were tight around her wrist causing it to go red. But the fact that Azazel was seated on the throne, waiting for her to give up and kneel was what gave her the strength.
He had stilled her powers and kept her a prisoner in what was once her home.
"Is it worth it?" He asked. "You just have to kneel and face your judgement."
Allicent raised her eyes to look at him through her hair. There was nothing but contempt in her eyes.
"Do you remember the days you used to marvel at the beauty of this castle? The days when the underworld trembled at the mention of your name? The lady of the underworld they called you."
"I was young and foolish back then," she retorted.
"Young yes, but foolish, you still are."
Allicent looked at him in mockery. "Does it pain you, Aze, to know that you’re all alone? That your only daughter was sired by a whore?"
Azazel’s grip on the throne’s edges tightened, and with it, the chains that held Allicent in position. They sank beneath the floor forcing Allicent into a kneeling position albeit her resistance.
He materialized in front of her, his emerald eyes looking into hers. "You mock me after throwing away what we had for a vampire king?"
"You knew the prophecy would be fulfilled through me but you went ahead and married me." She smiled in mockery. "I took you for a wiser king."
"The king gets what he wants," he replied. And with a smirk, "Can’t forget the things I did to you in the bed."
"There was no joy in it!" Allicent said, her eyes shining in defiance.
Azazel lifted her chin before taking a few steps back. "I’m running out of options on how to punish you."
"Get over it," Allicent raised, making him halt in his steps and turn to look at her. "You didn’t have the stomach for it last time."
He crouched low grabbing her by her hair to reveal her neck. "You think I’ll kill you? Trust me, I have way more better plans than that," he said, his eyes focused on her neck.
Allicent’s heart raced at the thought of it. ’No. He cannot do that!’ She thought. She was wrong. Azazel sunk his fangs into her neck. She let out a loud scream as the demon lord drunk her blood and renewed a bond she’d long been disconnected from.
He let go of her, his fangs laced with blood. She fell on the floor before everything turned into a bliss!

"Do you think we’ll win?" Brandon asked as he stared at the high walls of Mysthaven.
"The humans would be fools to meet us in open battle," Tieron replied. "We’ve blocked all the supplies into the city. It’ll only be a matter of time before they start starving. You don’t want to know what humans can do just to survive, turning in a bastard won’t be hard."
"I had him in my grasp," Brandon said, the scene playing afresh in his mind. The bastard was in the center, surrounded by vampires on horseback. It’d only have taken a single swing of his sword to take his head off his shoulders and feed his body to the crows.
"Whoever rescued him must be a very powerful demon," Tieron chipped.
"Do you think the demons would support him?"
"Azazel wants him dead. No demon can disobey him unless they’re exiled out of the underworld."
Brandon heaved a sigh when one of the commanders came. His eyes were a persistent red.
"The men are thirsty for blood," he reported. "The supplies from the wastelands have been cut."
Brandon looked at Tieron for help. No one wanted to cross a starving vampire, not even a royal one.
"Get a hundred of your fed men and raid a village south of here. Bring the bodies back for the hoarde." The commander curtsied before he left.
"We need to attack soon before our men start killing each other for a taste of blood that’ll never satisfy them," Tieron said, heaving a sigh of relief.

Elena was leaning on a corner when Kara materialized again. She wore a smirk and a smile she couldn’t hide.
"I’m not surprised you haven’t figured your way out of this place," she said once she was near.
"Most people spend their eternity here. Funny how one dies in a prison of their own making," she added. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Why are you here?" Elena asked. Her lectures had started to bore her.
"Glad you asked," she replied with enthusiasm. She looked at Elena, allowing a little awkwardness to grow between them.
"He kissed me!" She blurted out, giggling like a little girl who just got flowers for the first time. But Elena refused to believe her delusions. Gabriel would never...
"In your room. He closed the door behind and claimed my lips like something golden."
Kara saw an expression of disbelief on Elena’s face.
"You don’t believe me? It wasn’t that hard to be honest. All it needed was your body and a little acting."
"You’re lying," she said, denying it with her every nerve.
"He held me by my neck," she said, showing her his claw marks. "Wild, isn’t he?"
Elena shook her head in denial. "He stripped me, explored my body in ways I’ve never been explored before. And when he was done, he whispered sweet nothings in my ear and lay on my breasts all night long."
"I can still smell his scent on my clothes," she added, and it was true. Elena couldn’t mistake Gabriel’s scent. But to think that...
The images of him and Kara making love played in her head like a demented spirit. ’Please make it stop,’ she thought, but who would listen to her own mind?
