Chapter 374: Renewed Cooperation

Two days passed in the blink of an eye, and soon, Huo Qingze arrived. Yin Yang brought Xu Mumu back to the small courtyard.

The two dogs in the yard enthusiastically dashed over, their tails wagging non-stop, and Xu Mumu hugged the dogs.

"You guys go discuss business, I’ll take them for a bath," Xu Mumu said, laughing.

"Alright then," Yin Yang nodded, knowing Xu Mumu was not interested in these matters.

In the kitchen, Mrs. Liu had already boiled hot water. The sun was still strong, so Xu Mumu took the two dogs to bathe them under the sun.

The two dogs enjoyed playing with water, splashing happily in the basin, getting water everywhere.

After more than half an hour, the two dogs were finally clean. Mrs. Liu brought a towel, and Xu Mumu gently dried them.

"What are we having for lunch, Mrs. Liu?" Xu Mumu asked, looking at Mrs. Liu.

"There’s pork in the kitchen, and a small piece of beef; what do you want to eat? I’ll cook it shortly," Mrs. Liu said warmly.

"Hmm, let’s stir-fry some beef for lunch, and some garlic sprouts with the pork," Xu Mumu thought for a moment and said.

"Alright, I’ll cook that in a bit," Mrs. Liu said, smiling.

The two in the main room were still discussing matters, so Xu Mumu didn’t bother them, trusting Yin Yang to handle it.

Xu Mumu carried a wooden basin to the corner of the wall, where many roses had already bloomed. Xu Mumu carefully picked the petals and placed them in the wooden basin.

She gathered almost a full basin, and the roses were just about picked clean.

Carrying the basin to the kitchen, Xu Mumu carefully washed the rose petals, then placed them on a bamboo mat to dry under the sun. Once the rose petals were dry, they could be made into tea.

Satisfied with her labor, there were enough rose petals for a long-lasting tea supply. There were two gardenia plants in the yard, but it was not yet their blooming season as they had only buds.

By the time the two had discussed enough, it was already noon, and the dishes were almost ready. Professor Song and Professor Jian had meetings at the university so wouldn’t be back for lunch; it would just be the few of them eating.

"How did the discussion go?" Xu Mumu asked, looking at Yin Yang curiously.

"Heh, is there anything I can’t handle?" Yin Yang proudly tilted his head.

Beside them, Huo Qingze looked speechless, watching him brag but chose not to expose him. After all, he had agreed to the matter as well.

Xu Mumu didn’t see Huo Qingze’s expression; she just smiled and chatted with Yin Yang, "Are you really that capable?" Xu Mumu exaggeratedly said.

"Of course, don’t you know how amazing I am?" Yin Yang pinched Xu Mumu’s cheek, which was soft. Having busied herself, she now had a bit of sweat on her forehead, which Yin Yang gently wiped with a handkerchief.

Huo Qingze quietly turned his face away, feeling bullied as the only single person. Once he found a partner, he too would show off in front of them.

Mrs. Liu’s cooking was delicious, and Huo Qingze praised it too, with the midday meal finished directly by everyone.

"What would you like to drink?" Mrs. Liu came over.

"Hmm, a glass of honey water," Xu Mumu said, patting her belly, feeling a bit stuffed.

"Just plain water is fine," Huo Qingze calmly said.

"I’ll have the same as Mumu," Yin Yang said with a smile.

After discussing things, many preparations were needed. Xu Mumu couldn’t help much, so she just continued her research, aiming to complete the solar power project soon.

Professor Song knew what Xu Mumu intended to do, so he came by daily to help her. The two continued experiments in the neighboring courtyard.

After more than a month, the solar power generator was finally completed. Xu Mumu looked at her labor results; many places could now use electricity thanks to it.

When Yin Yang returned in the evening, Xu Mumu shared the good news.

Yin Yang was extremely pleased; he hadn’t expected Xu Mumu to finish so quickly. This invention was temporarily kept here, with the company’s matters and the air conditioner issue unresolved.

This time, Huo Qingze did not let him be hands-off; many tasks needed his attention. Every day, he was busy and exhausted by the time he returned home.

"You little rascal, what have you been busy with these days, always coming home so late?" Professor Song asked Yin Yang.

"Grandfather, I’m planning to start a company with Huo Qingze," Yin Yang said calmly, sipping the juice his girlfriend had given him, sweet to the core.

"What company are you starting?" Professor Song asked curiously.

"Isn’t it about the air conditioner stuff? We’re planning to do it ourselves," Yin Yang sipped the juice.

"Aren’t you unable to do business by yourself yet? How dare you try; aren’t you worried it will cost you?" Professor Song was startled; the events of past years had made him cautious.

"Don’t worry, Grandfather, we know what we’re doing," Yin Yang said seriously.

"What do you know?" Professor Song rolled his eyes; he truly disliked seeing Yin Yang and the others take such risks. What if something happened?

"Trust me, Grandfather; I can definitely do it. You and Mumu figure out the principles of the solar power generation in these days; I’ll need it. The generator you made will also be taken; it’s our capital," Yin Yang said with a smile.

"What exactly are you planning?" Professor Song looked at his grandson; the solar power generator was an important invention. He actually wanted Xu Mumu to donate it to the country but felt embarrassed to say it. Since it was mainly Xu Mumu’s effort, he felt awkward about taking it for his benefit.

"Sir Song, actually, the Onmyoji wants to donate the generator to pave the way for our air conditioner sales," Xu Mumu said with a smile.

Professor Song was silent for a while before speaking, "You do it yourselves; I won’t interfere. I’m old now."

"Grandfather, you’ve had this idea for some time; you need to rest. You’re past retirement age but still bearing responsibilities, and there’s not a shortage of teachers at school," Yin Yang said, laughing.

"What? You think I’m old, rascal? Do you want a beating?" Professor Song slapped Yin Yang’s back; he was truly annoying.

"I wouldn’t dare," Yin Yang said helplessly.

"Is there anything you wouldn’t dare?" Professor Song rolled his eyes.

"Mumu, you can’t follow this rascal and learn his bad habits, understand?" Professor Song turned and spoke gently to Xu Mumu.

"Grandfather, I’m your actual grandson," Yin Yang pretended to be jealous.

"You’re no longer one; Mumu is now." Professor Song said arrogantly.

"Mumu, what should I do? Grandfather doesn’t want me anymore; I’m so miserable," Yin Yang held onto Xu Mumu’s arm, pretending to be sad.

Xu Mumu’s mouth twitched as she silently watched their act, not wanting to interrupt; the two were becoming increasingly childish.

Fortunately, this matter passed on Professor Song’s end. Next, Yin Yang became busier.

Business and company matters were out of her hands as she didn’t understand them well, so she didn’t randomly suggest ideas.
