Hazel wished she heard wrong,her ear cringing at the words that came out of Zaiden’s mouth,he was joking right?
But the look he had on his face told her differently from what she thought of him,this was all wrong ,it’s just a misunderstanding.
She shouldn’t have trusted Elijah Knights when he helped her from his brother,if only she would have convinced her father in law by herself, this wouldn’t have resulted in this,but the man wasn’t interested in what she had to say and this had caused her this.
If she said she didn’t know Elijah had ulterior motives for helping her she was a liar,she knew but this didn’t cross her mind and now her fiance who she felt relaxed that was gradually trying to get along,has gone back to his cold and wicked self.
"What’s with the look? You can’t do it or are you just faking for me?"He taunted while studying the horrified look in her face,he was loving every single moment of this which made Hazel question if truly he really ever cared for her because if he did,he would give her some time to hear her opinion before laying silly accusations on her.
But that’s the point,how could she tell him that she was caught rummaging through his office?
He’s going to strangle her to death if he gets to hear that she peeped into his secret passage and saw what she shouldn’t have seen,how do she get out of this situation?
"It’s a misunderstanding,you need to listen to me"she went up to him,her voice sounding scared of what he might do to her if she didn’t do as she said,she went up to him with careful steps and held the sleeves of his shirt making sure she didn’t touch him before he flipped out.
She noticed he detested human touch which had crossed her mind to ask him about the reason,but she’s sure his look only was going to silence her before she could think of asking him the reason about that.
Zaiden was a complicated man who looked like the perfect gentleman,the dream of all young girls out there but that’s for people who hardly know him.
Should she say that it was because he was pampered to the wits as the only child or as a result of his own guides on how to live his life,he’s so annoying and a really vengeful human being.
Who tells their fianceè to strip just because he’s angry?
He’s not going to rape her right?
He doesn’t look like one,,but she never can tell he’s really showing her more of his hidden sides which she didn’t know all along.
He laughed, surprising her and making her more scared of him,he shouldn’t be laughing,that makes her ignorant of what goes through his head.
She had gotten used to his solemn and cold nature but this side of him was scary,this was the first time she had seen him laugh in front of her,but it wasn’t sincere,it was so eerie and stomach churning.
She flinched and shuddered in fear when he grabbed her hard at her arm that she was sure he was going to crush her to death given the look on his face and then threw her on top of the bed,she bounced hard on it and hear him curse out loud before taking his blazer off.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to be,this is all wrong,this wasn’t how she’s supposed to lose her virginity,not to some man who doesn’t have any feelings or regards for her aside from his illicit and selfish intentions.
"S..stop!"she yelled, grabbing his attention for a while,her dress was fisted tightly in her palms and this action seemed to amuse Zaiden. Does she think she had a choice here?
"So tell me one good reason why I shouldn’t drag you downstairs and call off this marriage?"He smiled when he saw the way her brows raised at his words.
Bingo!
That’s her alibi.
"You can’t do that!"She snapped unconsciously and held her lips when she noticed she shouted at him"please"she added.
He knows her weakness and is going to use it against her,he’s so much like Elijah,Hazel what are you going to do?
"Why should I listen to you?for all I care this is just the perfect time to get rid of a whoring fianceè?"
"But you can’t!’’she challenged him,a smug look on her face this time which irritated Zaiden,why does she challenge him every time?
What does she mean but that?
"If I can remember..."she trailed standing up to stand in front of him,her hand resting on top of his chest while looking straight at him who has a despicable look on his face but gave her time to talk.
If anything he was surprised at her courage to think she has a say here when she’s the victim."you can back for me,you should have left if you didn’t need me but you left her and came back for me,sorry to say this if the truth hurts,but it’s obvious we need each other,so quit with the games already handsome"she added grabbing his jaw,to look into his deep blue eyes.

He could comment,she was so quick to figure out the puzzle,but how sure is she to think that this time he won’t throw her out just like he said?
Does she want to dare?
It would be fun seeing the smug look on her face die down once she gets to know that he can’t be threatened,how dare she?
Where did his mother get such a woman?As much as she’s on the wrong side here,she looked really hot when she threatened him,it was hard not to slam her hard on the wall and kiss those cherry lips of hers.
Focus Zaiden!
Hazel was hiding the fidgeting of her hands and the loud thumping of her heart after she told Zaiden the truth,he wasn’t the only one who thinks he has an upper hand in everything,she can’t let him win.
He won’t go easy on her if she lets him do away with her,she could see the predatory look on his face followed by the grin at the corner of his lips,does he think everything was funny?
He moved away from her and started clapping, walking around his room to finally stop in front of her,the grin died down when he pushed her to the nearby wall and tightened his hands hard in her throat while she pushed at his hand to stop his maltreatment.
He’s definitely going to kill her someday soon with this psychotic attitude of his,she could feel the blood draining away from her face while he smiled at her struggle.
What a psychopath, who is this?
This wasn’t the Zaiden she knew, in fact the one holding her down and strangling her to the brink of death was more threatening and scary,he had another alternative seeing that he was planning on killing her.
She dropped her hands limply to her sides when it proved futile that she was going to get free from his hold and was giving up,but she got released as she fell down, coughing loudly while touching her inflamed Neck.
He’s a monster,her fiance is a monster!
"How’s does it feel?"He asked bending down in front of her where she was still trying to test her vocal chords,she wanted to plug her fingers into his eyes and gouge out those deceiving eyes.
He’s a manipulator,a cunning one at that,why didn’t she see this sooner? Zaiden is going to kill her.
"This is what’s going to happen to you the next time you think you can threaten me and go scot free,do you understand?"he yelled, grabbing her hair to raise her face up to him,while whimpering at his hold.
She nodded,but he wasn’t satisfied.
She wasn’t able to talk properly after the damage on her neck which affected her chords,and she knew he knew about this but decided to test her,he wanted her to talk.
Does she still want to get married to such a maniac?
This question crossed her mind as her eyes watered instantly while staring at him.

But it was too late,she was crying already even before she could put on her courageous suit,he released her when he saw her cry.
But did he care?

She’s playing with him,but he’s going to let her know she will be dead and long gone the next time he finds her with his dad.
"Whore"He said out loud to her before he left the room, leaving her and her miserable self to dwell in self pity and loneliness.
She cried.
Even when the thunderstorm continued that night,she curled herself to a sitting position with her head inbetween inbetween her knees,she let loose of her strong girl facade and cried to her heart’s content.
The night was a reminder that her fiance was a complicated person more than she could think and he wouldn’t think twice of hurting her if the need arises.
