Zaiden smirked,loving the look on her face after he pecked her right in front of the family,he needed to do that.
After his makeout session with Anna in his office,he had been feeling guilty for doing that knowing that he had a fianceè.
He did have a fianceè,but he couldn’t risk his feelings being known to her if he eventually lost control and touched her.
He had always had enough self control over the years Anna wasn’t with him,but ever since Hazel came into his life his control started wavering.
He could clearly remember the multiple things he had nearly had his way with her,she was beautiful,more beautiful than Anna,he didn t know if that was what attracted her to him.
No,it wasn’t about her beauty,there was another thing which was special about her which made lose his mind about her.
He had kissed Anna and made out with her in hope that his body was not only craving for her,he had believed that it was because it’s been a long time he had a release but it was a lie.
He had stopped because he couldn’t seem to keep those bewitching eyes away from his head,it felt as if he was doing it wrong with Anna.
He wasn’t the one who listens to his feelings, if anything he loved doing what he likes without considering the feelings of others,that’s who Zaiden Knights was,but since Hazel,things have Changed.
Anna had stormed out of his Office after promising him that she’s going to make everything better,that’s it,she doesn’t get it.
Nothing has ever been better since Hazel’s arrival in his life,just like he had made her life a living life, he too was also suffering as well because he and his conscience had been at battle these few days Hazel was not with him.
He hated to feel like this, weak and vulnerable,if anything he preferred being the one who controls his feelings but these days it was hard to do.
He didn’t kiss her in front of the family for anything else,it was only to stake his claim right in front of his cousin,Nathan,he wanted him to know that Hazel was off limits to him.
He wanted to find out what it is the two of them were having ,at first he had concluded that she was a spy who was working for them but he doesn’t think she’s one,she hadn’t done anything suspicious for him to notice any flaw in her for now,so,he needs another strategy and this was the only one that might work.
Besides,it wasn’t wrong touching her after all,she’s going to be his wife,she has no say if he does that, because she will have no other option but to do everything he says once they get married.
He would use this opportunity to do as he wishes with her,bit to fall in love with her,that was out of the question,he was here to have fun with her and the fun had just begun.
She was looking at him with her doe eyes in utmost astonishment over what he just did. Well,she should be prepared for more because he won’t let his parents know of what was going on between them.
He hopes she has not talked to his mother about the papers he gave her to sign,because he knew his mother won’t take it lightly with her,but that would be fir now.
Since she’s not willing to sign it,another time would come when she would have no other option to sign those papers.
He loved the reaction on her face,it made her look cute.
Stop it Zaiden!
He needs to talk to her about this,he didn’t want her leaving any suspicions toward his family about their relationship.
He cleared his throat taking a cup of water from the table only to find his family still looking at him with surprise on their faces,his mother had a look of denial on her face likewise Nathan,it was only Grandpa who was naive not to notice the sudden change in his behaviour towards her.
Well,he knew that it was going to be hard convincing his mother but as for Nathan,he wanted him feeling like this,he was denying whatever it is that was going on between them wasn’t real,so,let him stay in denial,the only thing that would make him angry was if he came near his fianceè again.
"Then, let’s eat"Grandpa’s voice brought everyone out of their thoughts as they dropped the gaze they had on the two couples,while they started eating.
At first,there was a lingering silence as everyone was focused on having dinner,but Ziaden wasn’t done with his show of affection towards Hazel,he took some pieces of meat and placed it on Hazel’s plate,patting her head as she held in her breath.
It was hard for her to breathe and concentrate on the food as he couldn’t seem to keep his hands to himself throughout dinner. He always found an excuse to touch her arm,kiss her cheeks and also the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when he fed her with his hands.
She felt her heart constricting that it was hard to breathe, although she knew it was him pretending in front of the family,but she still felt herself blushing.
What’s wrong with her?
She wasn’t stupid enough to know that everything was just an act bit she had been blushing nonstop which made Avery and Grandpa smiled at her cuteness,but the person sitting infront of her nearly killed her with cold hateful stares to her and to Zaiden.
Nathan Knights.
She didn’t know what exactly was his problem,but she won’t let him spoil her good mood for this moment so she had no other option but to play along with her Fiance.
"Get a room Zaiden there are elders here!"Sophia snapped at the both of them when she couldn’t take it anymore,she felt like stabbing the both of them with a knife,it would give her immense pleasure to see life gradually leaving them as the blood flowed from their eyes unto her hands.
"Grandpa didn’t complain,so I don’t know what reason you are feeling bad about it, does it make you angry that much to see her?’’Zaiden taunted,a slight grin forming at his lips.
"Mind your words"Sophia warned,her other hand clenched tightly under the table but Elijah was fast enough to cover it with his hand,soothing her anger as she shifted her attention to him but he waved his head in denial telling her to stop it.
Hazel was feeling bad that they were constantly bickering about her,she didn’t know what exactly was Sophia and Nathan’s problem, especially Sophia,she always gives her this bad vibes whenever she sees her.
She knew the lady didn’t like her,but she had come to stay and she had no other option than to deal with it,and Zaiden himself was a troublemaker,he loved chaos.
"Enough of this you two!"Ezekiel thundered,before Sophia rolled her eyes at both father and son,her attention going back to the food she was eating but Nathan knew she was having a hard time eating,because her jaw was clenched meaning she was on the verge of losing her control and he knew what this meant.
"How’s your room,aren’t you feeling scared sleeping alone?"Avery asked her as everyone shifted to her and Hazel once again.
Zaiden’s eyes looked up to his mother in suspicion,not knowing the reason she was asking Hazel that,what was her concern if she’s scared of sleeping alone? She’s not a kid to be scared.
"No,I’m good"She replied smiling at the lady who sent a glare at Grandpa,it was as if both were having a secret conversation with their eyes which Hazel and Zaiden noticed,but before Zaiden could drop any comments,the old man had beat him to it.
"Without being said,it’s better if you both share a room together"Grandpa said,and then Hazel started coughing while he gave her a drink.
"Mother"Zaiden faced his mother,his eyebrow raised while looking straight at her because he knew she was the mastermind behind this all.
"You guys are engaged already,I don’t see any reason not to do that, besides it would help building your relationship,isn’t that true baby girl?"Avery said, smiling sinisterly,her eyebrows raised while staring at Hazel who only nodded but Zaiden knew the meaning behind what she said.
She’s only a dreamer.
"Isn’t it too early to do that,they are only engaged?"Sophia intervened,she turned to her husband to say anything but he declined.
"Exactly Sophia,they are engaged,doing that would help prepare them fully for their marriage"Avery persisted.
"Is that what you want?"Nathan suddenly joined the conversation,this question directed to Hazel,which made Zaiden ench his fist tightly.
What was he doing?
"I.."Hazel started,everyone was waiting for her consent,but she was still confused,wasn’t it too early to stay with Zaiden?
"I think it’s for the best,don’t you cupcake?"Zaiden cut her short,cupping her face to look at his face,she knew what he meant,he was openly threatening her to agree to what matter that was on board,she nodded her head while Avery clapped gleefully.
"Then I will have the maids send up your properties right away"she said standing up from the table,while Grandpa didn’t leave any statement,he was unusually calm.
He looked over to both Nathan and Zaiden looking at each other angrily,he stood up from the table,his mind at jeopardy over what was happening.
His two sons can’t be fighting over a girl right?
The possibility of this being true got the old man scared because he couldn’t bear to see the damage that was coming to the family,if eventually what he suspected was a reality.
If it was true, then there is fire on the mountain,a storm was coming their way because he knew Zaiden,he wouldn’t give up easily likewise,Nathan.
Something dangerous is coming!
