365 Days To Love-Chapter 222 - TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-TWO:She’s Dying.
"Hazel baby,what are you saying? You are scaring the shit..."Zaiden attempted moving forward to grab her,but she moved away from his touch further.
She was avoiding his touch,and it got him angry at what she’s doing because it’s adding more to his frustration that she’s about to break up with him.
The signs were clear.
What she’s doing.
He’s no fool.
She had earlier confessed that she used him,a normal human being would have strived to know what exactly and how exactly she used him.
Rather,he was much more concerned about the red flag she was calling in their relationship.
He can’t do without her. He can’t do without Hazel and she knew that.Yet, she’s still going ahead to do what he feared most.
Rejection.
He’s about to be rejected once again,but he’s more hurt that it was coming from the woman he loved.
"Stop being too dramatic Zaiden, and listen to what i have to say because there’s nothing stopping me from telling you the truth!"She yelled, stopping him from calling her those sweet names that might change her mind.
She saw what he’s doing.He’s trying to avoid this conversation but sadly,time wasn’t what she got.
He has to know for his own sake,she wouldn’t have him going insane just because of her.
She wants to leave him with a clear mind,making sure that she had told him the truth before saying her last goodbye.
"And i told you that i don’t fucking give a damn care what your past is!"He roared, standing up with his chest heaving heavily.
He’s angry.
Not at her.No,he could never get angry at Hazel.He was much more annoyed at himself ,because he didn’t know what exactly he had done to make her this way.
He ransacked his brain,while thinking if there’s any words he might have told her that might have been the reason why she’s acting this way.
This wasn’t what he initially had thought when she told hike they needed to talk,as a matter of fact her doctor was in his way right now to check up on her without her consent.
He was planning on telling her after he’s done ordering breakfast for her, but she had woken up before him and right now, was talking about using him for her selfish needs.
What needs was she talking about?
For crying out loud,he’s confused right now and can’t seem to get his emotions in check.His emotions were everywhere and if care wasn’t taken,he might really lose it.
Hazel was messing with his mind,that he’s already going crazy,really crazy at the thought of her leaving him.
She keeps him sane,she completes him.His life has never been better ever since she walked into his life.
But right now, he doesn’t know anymore what she’s planning on doing if she leaves him.She can’t leave him.
He won’t let her go.No matter what.She will stay with him forever,they promised each other that.
No one was to leave each other,but she’s breaking that promise after their first night.Was this not a horrible way of breaking up with him?
"Look Angel,I get it that you aren’t cool with what you have done in your past,I know it’s eating you up to say it.But don’t you think it would be much better if you kept it a secret?"He pleaded, walking closer to her with hesitating footsteps and luckily this time,she didn’t run from him.
She was crying.The tears were forming in her eyes for a while but she didn’t hold it in any longer.
She felt awful.
What is she doing?
Well, Zaiden’s words made some sense but she can’t do as he says.He will forever hate her if she doesn’t let him know about the truth.
So,she ignored him and went into their walk-in closet,to walk back into the room holding some paper in her right hand.
She gave it to him.
The test results that say that she was dying three months ago.She doesn’t know what else to say for him to stop fighting her on this.
She doesn’t know what else to tell him so that he could let her get this done with,she’s so tired and sick of waking up everyday with the guilt eating her up daily.
It was hard to sit down next to him,and look him in the face while knowing that he doesn’t deserve this.
He doesn’t deserve to be lied to.To be used.She had grown to love him...maybe more than he loved her to find out that in the end the pain would still be there.
She had been all excited to accept the fairy godmother’s proposal, without realizing that she would be the one that would end up hurting at the very end.
It was hard to say goodbye.
Very hard and hurting,more than the pain that she had experienced when she saw the test results that she’s dying in three months time.
What she would do to stop all these from happening?
To stop Zaiden from seeing those test results,she had kept them away from Sunny and also from him for a long time.
It was as if she knew that a moment like that would come, when it would be useful.
It was in this situation,where Zaiden was making it hard for her to explain what it was about their relationship.
Would he even believe that such a thing called a miracle happened?
Would he believe it if she told him that she met a fairygodmother,who granted her wish and extended her life span up to a year?
No he wouldn’t.
Zaiden won’t believe that shit, because the way he was staring at the test result with him trying hard not to believe what he just saw.
"Angel...I...what’s.."He couldn’t form his words, without him choking on it.Without him feeling bad for trying to think that it’s about him.
He had actually thought she was trying to end this because of him,when it had all been because of her and her...
"I’m dying Zaiden"She let the cat out of the bag, and saw the way all colours drain from his face at her declaration.
"Hazel..I don’t understand...but you are alive,the date says it was three months you had this test and...."
"I was lucky,I met a fairygodmther that gave me more time "She added,before sighing, turning to leave.
"You probably think I have gone crazy"She said, turning to leave for the bathroom but was drawn back to stand Infront of him.
"No baby,I don’t think you are any of what you just said,I...I believe you..but it’s all hard for me to believe,Hazel i don’t want to lose you "He tilted her head up to match her eyes with his on the sake level.

"I’m sorry,but there’s nothing you or anyone can do about it,my time is up Zaid ’’She reminded him,Incase he had forgotten the date on the test result and also her confession of meeting a fairygodmther.
"I don’t believe that!’’He said,leaving her to punch the wall to him frustratingly that he’s sure he had broken his bone.
"What have you done?"Hazel cried, moving up to touch his bleeding hand."you are bleeding Zaid"
"It can’t compare to the pain in my heart angel,I don’t want to believe this.I had actually thought that this was some prank or something baby,tell me it is?"
"It’s not...it’s not a prank...I have been having signs Zaid ’’She said,and saw him exhale with difficulty as if he was having problems breathing,until she looked up to see the tears on his face.
He was crying.
Zaiden was crying.
"No...no . there’s something that has to be done Hazel,I’m sure there’s something that can stop ..."He refused to believe it, shaking his head in denial.
"Just stop it already!"She yelled,the tears pouring out more down her face.
"There’s nothing that can be done baby,it’s hereditary...I don’t know who i got it from because they are still alive,but I have known i have always been bad luck to deserve...."
"No baby,you are not.You are everything but not bad luck"He held her hands into his bloody ones,while cleaning her tears with his other hand that was good.
"Look at me baby,I promise...I will do everything i can to save you"He said,while trying to hold himself.He can’t let get see that he hurting about this.
Who knows how much pain she was in right now?
How stupid of him to make her life a living hell, without knowing her actual story?

If he had known that time wasn’t what they had,he wouldn’t have been such a nuisance in her life.
"No..please..stop giving me fake assurance Zaid,I have accepted my fate a long time ago"She refused to believe him.
What’s the point of doing that?
"I’m not Sugar, believe me when i said that i would protect you ..I always meant that sweetheart.You can’t die,You can’t leave me Hazel. I will die if you do that ’’He pulled her in a hug,as they both broke down while finding solace in each other’s arms.
Even till now,he didn’t even give her a chance to apologize for keeping this a secret from him,and using him to fulfill her wish.
Rather,he was blaming himself for something which wasn’t his fault.Even if he wasn’t being a jerk to her the first time they met, there’s nothing he can do to rewrite what has been written.
She’s dying.
He can’t do anything about it.The thing he could do right now was to cherish his last moments with her.
That’s the only solution.
