Up till now,it didn’t seem to sit well with Detective John that he was in the hospital with a woman,who was likely to be pregnant with Nathan’s Child.
Not only did it sound outrageous, that Nathan would stoop so low to kidnap a lady for his carnal desires,well,it didn’t have to sound like a surprise to him.
A whole lot of criminals he had handled their cases,and sent to prison had that in common,it was as if it’s a natural thing to them.
He didn’t need anyone, or he didn’t wait for Lucy’s confession about how she’s related to the bastard to give him the tips of what is happening.
No.
It’s clear to him right now.
It’s a family fight for power.
It’s very obvious,it had always been that way among the children of the elites to fight for their father’s properties.
Nathan had a strategy to make his father give the company to him,which is where Lucy comes into the picture.
Did she actually know that Nathan had used her, involved her into his family mess just only to find something strong enough, to make his grandpa change his mind towards who the heir of the company is?

Narhan got Lucy pregnant to prove how much of a potential heir he was,unlike Zaiden who still had his problem with the lady he was supposed to marry days ago.
Rightfully,the company belongs to Zaiden,but right there’s a whole lot of bad criticism from the citizens towards him and his fianceè Hazel.
Which leaves only Nathan as the best option right now, although he doesn’t have any woman in his life which is to presented as his wife or fianceè.
But if it is confirmed that Lucy is pregnant,that gives him a whole right to be the one the company would be handed to.
That’s what it has to be.
Detective John thought,while making his own speculation about what was going on between the two brother’s,that they had the same woman that looked like each other.
That’s the part where he didn’t understand in all these,why does it have to be a woman who looked like Hazel?
What is Nathan planning?
What is it about him that had Lucy contemplating whether it’s right to tell a police officer,who was the best choice she had right now to save herself if something was wrong?
What has Nathan done to the young lady that had her flinching,and was too over cautious about her surroundings?
Even as they were coming to the hospital,to confirm if it was actually true that she was carrying his baby,she couldn’t stop looking outside the car behind them to check if anyone was tailing them.
Which made him really annoyed,she was having trust issues where he was that he might not be able to save her when he comes for her.
That’s what it all implied,but she was a fool who didn’t want to think of the safety of herself, and the baby in her stomach if Nathan was as bad as he pictured him to be.

There is no" if" with Nathan.
The guy had been a creepy fellow with his mother,right from the very first time he set his eyes on both of them.
So, there’s no need trying to sound unsure of what he was suspecting he did,with such a fine young lady sitting beside him,who couldn’t even look him in the eyes as she entered the office to meet the gynecologist.
It bothers him that she was this way,which was unlike him to go out of his way for someone who was making things hard for herself and unfortunately,him too because of her stubbornness.
He was so bothered about her right now, and also felt bad that maybe she might decide to kill the baby if it’s true that she’s really pregnant.
From the look of things,she was raped.That explains the whole reason why she’s being crying nonstop, ever since the hunch about her being pregnant started at his house.
He had clothed her,fed her and also gave her his house to stay without demanding anything,which was unlike many men in this world to do that.
Yet,she’s still not having any second thoughts of telling him what he wants to hear,which leaves him with no other option than to do something extra to get what he wants.
Detective John rubbed his hands impatiently while waiting for the test results to be out that she was raped,it didn’t sound appealing that he went behind her back to do such a thing.
But he’s only trying to help her,and also help himself too. The family case has given him more headache for months now.
"Excuse me sir, are you miss Wells’ guardian?"A nurse asked, to which he raised his head up to answer her question.
"Yes,is there any problem?"He asked worriedly, because something was wrong with the way she suddenly appeared in front of him.
What if she had escaped?
The thought came,and he found himself standing up abruptly without waiting to hear from the woman in front of him,before walking into the room with the session with the gynaecologist.
The sight he met,was enough evidence for him to know that truly she was pregnant and that’s a huge problem because the mother didn’t want to keep the baby.
Well,why would she?
The father is a monster.
What if he’s the cannibal who ate up the guard?
Right at that moment,He couldn’t help but think of that too. The chairman hasn’t given him any reply, on finding out for himself who it was between his family’s members.
"I don’t want it to keep it doctor,you..have to..help me please"Lucy cried, holding the female doctor’s hand who couldn’t help but feel bad at the lady.
Although,she didn’t tell her any of the reasons why she doesn’t want to keep the baby, there’s no actual way she could abort the child right now,it’s not safe anymore.
She had actually thought the man who she came in contact with earlier,was either her husband or her boyfriend.Only to find out that he was nothing, but a Police officer who took her off the street to help her from an abusive lover.
Her story wasn’t a good one,which made her feel bad for the young lady who had refused to listen to her, that she might end up dying if she aborts the child right now.
She’s two months pregnant,and that’s a huge benefactor that she’s endangering her life, and that of the already forming foetus in her stomach if she went ahead with the abortion.
Besides,she’s still young to do such a dangerous operation as aborting a baby,it was already bad enough that she’s a doctor and she had helped terminate a lot of unwanted pregnancies.
But Lucy’s case is different,what if she ends up dying with the baby,and she goes to prison for murder?
There’s already a police officer outside who won’t relent in haunting her ass down ,until she’s locked behind bars.
"I’m afraid but i can’t be of help to you young lady, there’s a huge possibility that you will end up dying if i move ahead with removing the.... "She tried explaining,but she couldn’t care less what the outcome would be.
"You don’t understand doctor,he will murder once he finds out that I’m carrying his baby,you ..don’t have to tell it to the ...officer outside, please..."
"That’s enough,Lucy"Detective John interrupted ,as Lucy’s head turned to where the voice was coming from to figure out that he’s been here all along hearing their conversation.
"I’m sorry if she might have ..."He apologized to the doctor,while holding Lucy’s hand to take her out of the room before she escalated matters further.
She jerked her hands from his,she ran out of the room with hasty footsteps with hot tests streaming down her face.
She wasn’t thinking clearly,her mind was thinking of the next option to take because she’s not going to listen to what that crazy woman told her,about killing herself if she went ahead for the abortion.
She needed to leave, staying with the officer was limiting her movement and also he too wasn’t going to let her abort the baby either.
He too would be happy about this,he had to be because he now has something to bring Nathan down to the station.
Was that possible?
Would he be able to bring Nathan down, with just mere accusations when he had the power to eliminate the both of them from the surface of the earth.
No.
There’s no way she’s keeping this baby,she can’t give birth to that monster’s child!
It’s not going to happen,not ever.
That’s how lost she was in thoughts not to notice before she bumped into the head of the hospital,with another man whose voice sounds all too familiar.
"I’m so ..so..rry"She apologized, without looking up.
"Lucy wells?"The man beside the doctor who was also a doctor at the city central hospital called,she looked familiar."wow,I know that’s you"He added, the moment she raised her head up to face them.
Which was a stupid act.
"Do you know the lady?"The other man asked, scanning her from head to toe.
"Who wouldn’t know Nathan Knights bundle of trouble,she is a troublem..."
That statement alone made fears run through her entire body,that made her run out of the hospital without waiting for the officer, while looking around to check for Nathan or his men.
That was a stupid act, because she could have waited for the detective to be done with whatever that was taking his time in there.
But she chose to walk out alone, thereby falling right into the arms of her enemies, because the moment she came outside.
She was pushed to some chest that covered her nostrils, with a handkerchief that had her inhale the chloroform which rendered her weak instantly.
"Finally,the boss would be so pleased"That’s the last voice she heard,which didn’t belong to either Nathan or Eric.
But whoever it is,she didn’t care to know or rather i would say,she didn’t want to accept the fact that she was being bundled back to the rightful person that owned her,and the baby in her stomach.
