365 Days To Love-Chapter 183 - ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-THREE: Suspecting Sophia.
"Reporter West’s body was found dead outside his house"The chief of staff explained to Ezekiel through the phone,it didn’t come as a surprise to the both of them because they both knew it was bound to happen.
Likewise the deceased Detective West, whose information is right over the news this evening,it’s not been a couple of hours since after that drama at the warehouse which caused his life.
But what had the concern of the two was the fact that his family was missing,it was made known to Ezekiel that his men were late upon arriving at the airport.
There was literally no news coming from his wife,who would have been the first to speak up after hearing of her husband’s death.
But none of that happened,which made all suspicions go to her. Results showed that he had been food poisoned and had slumped in front of his house after going for a stroll this evening.
Whosoever that did this to him,was so smart to come up with such an idea,making his wife to be the scapegoat to carry the blame while hiding behind close curtains.
It greatly pained Ezekiel, that he was not fast enough to save the woman and her son,but he would make sure the truth comes to light soon,after all,he had a captive with him who’s going to tell him everything.
The chief of staff was doing everything possible to get the man’s information,and after he’s done doing that,the man would have no other options but to betray whoever it is that is on the other end.
"Make sure he’s properly buried,that’s the lady tribute i would pay him, and keep a close eye on Nathan and Elijah"Ezekiel said, while keeping close eyes on the road to avoid any sort of accidents.
The last thing he would want right now,would be missing his son’s wedding because of some useless reasons.
"Yes sir,the chairman is back home"He informed him.
"Yes,I heard,he called"
"But something’s off with him"The chief of staff said,there’s something wrong after eavesdropping on his conversation with Sophia.
"Something like what Chris,you know who father is,he’s just probably stressed up due to the flight back home"Ezekiel suggested.
There’s too many reasons, he had to pinpoint it as being the cause of what Chris was saying.
After all,he left the country without letting anyone know where exactly he went to,and to add more suspicions,he didn’t take the chief of staff along with him as he usually does.
"He had a conversation with Sophia about the murderer case,which it makes no sense to me as to why he would do that to her, but that’s until i heard something despicable,no,you won’t believe this either "The chief of staff said,which made Ezekiel’s anxiousness ride more higher.
The chief of staff doesn’t talk about insignificant things,but seeing that whatever it is about this dad,that made him this way was way more important than he thought.
"What’s it about Sophia?"
"It doesn’t make any sense,why he would talk to her about something like that if he doesn’t have something in mind for doing that"
"Stop talking in circles Chris, and tell me what their conversation is about"Ezekiel demanded impatiently,if his hinch about this was correct,that means his dad was talking to Sophia about who Elijah really is.
He’s going to tell her that her husband is an illegitimate son, something he had kept hidden for years now,so,why would he bring it up suddenly?
Well,that’s because he’s sick and tired of Elijah’s behaviour,he needs to be put in his place as soon as possible.
The stress is too much,there’s an insane murderer whos hot on their tail and likely to attack on his son’s wedding.
And there’s also his stupid brother, whose power hungry for something that does’nt belong to him.
What’s the essence of unity in the family,when it’s obvious to everyone about what he’s done.
His dad had kept quiet for a long time,which was what gave him the initiative to do as he liked, because his dad was overlooking every silly action of his.
It’s for the best if his dad talks to Sophia about it first, because she’s the only one who had power over Elijah.
He just hopes she doesn’t take it in the wrong perspective,and see to it as if his dad is thinking of disowning Elijah.
No.
He would never do that, but a little bit of pressure would build in the discipline which he lacked right from when he was a kid.
Elijah needed that, likewise Nathan,who he doesn’t know where his stand is,he’s inbetween and that’s making it hard for him to read his mind and motives.
"The Detective had given him the result of the test,which he kept to himself for a long time sir,you won’t believe what killed the guard"
"What exactly did the results say?"
"A cannibal,a human eating psychopath ate the guard"Chris finally revealed,which what he expected from Ezekeil was what he did the moment he tried to digest this new information he found today.
Ezekiel burst out laughing,that he nearly forget he was driving back home and nearly went out of his lane,all because of Chris’s joke.
Seriously,this is the first time the chief of staff is making such a joke,he could commend,he didn’t know he had it in him.
Is he serious?
Is this done kind of joke or something?

"Seriously,it would have sounded much more believable if you had said that we have a vampire living among us"He laughed,harder.
"This sounded more like a joke to me when i heard it at first,but...."Chris’ statement was cut halfway by Ezekiel who didn’t let him finish with what he was saying.
"Chris look,I understand the fact that everyone is bothered, and on edge about the murderer that is still on loose,but this doesn’t make any sense okay?"
"That’s what i thought,until i noticed something in Sophia’s eyes and her body language,she was trying to curtail herself.."
"Well,that’s because this is the exact way she reacted when my dad told her the same thing,okay fine,let’s say there’s a cannibal living with us.Why would my dad move along to tell Sofia about it and not me first?"
Ezekiel asked,this sounded so absurd,that as much as he tries to make any cognitive reasoning to this information,it still doesn’t make any sense to him.
"Unless he noticed something, there’s no way he could have told Sophia knowing their relationship,the chairman is up to something"The chief of staff suggested.
"And he’s up to something, because he thinks Sophia might be the psycho eating up people,does this makes any sense to you?"
"You can never know until you find a lead?"
"And the lead is what? Sophia,oh please! I can assure you if it is true that there’s actually a human eating creature living among us,and it had to be Sophia,my wife would have been long dead"Ezekiel uttered, to which the chief of staff understood what he meant by that.
If truly, Sophia’s a cannibal,Mrs.Avery would have been long dead, besides,why would she eat up a guard rather than eating up the people who make her upset?
But yet, something is still missing in this puzzle. The chairman wouldn’t have made such a lousy mistake, by telling her about this first rather than telling his son first.
"Then i guess,you would have to ask the chairman about that later,as for the man in our hold,he’s not speaking yet"
"And why is that?"Ezekiel demanded, pinching his nose on reflex after hearing his words."I told you to have our men apply more pressure on him,we have no time Chris,the wedding is just one day remaining"
"I know that sir,I would have them do just that"
"You better do,I will be home soon and find out what exactly is going on between father and that bitch"Ezekeil said,before cutting the car,taking the earpord out of his ear,he turned the window of his car down , feeling suffocated abit.
He chuckled again,when he remembered what Chris said about his dad and Sophia,he has a good sense of humour.
But yet,this is the Chief of Staff who told him this,and there’s actually no way he could be joking about this,but again,this isn’t some movie.
There’s actually no way, something like this could still be existing right now,he heard wrong.
There’s no need to panic.
He muttered to himself,driving into the house as the gate opened on its own Accord.
He needed to have a one on one conversation with his dad,to clear his mind off this new information he got.
