Chapter 138: Frenzied Resistance

Lily bit down hard on her lip, ignoring the pain, refusing to give him even the slightest chance. She knew that the moment she opened her mouth, he would seize the opportunity and invade her completely.

"Heh."

Seeing her resistance, Ethan let out a cold laugh, one hand gently stroking her soft face with practiced ease. "Lily Anderson, that trick won’t work on me."

Ethan’s hand slid down from her chest, moving swiftly. He yanked up her skirt with an aggressive, unrelenting force, pulling her underwear down in a single motion. Without hesitation, he undid his belt, and before she could react, he drove into her body with a scorching heat, entirely invading her.

The sudden sensation of being filled overwhelmed Lily, sending a shockwave of electric pleasure coursing through her entire body, leaving her trembling as a wave of physical sensation overtook her.

"Ugh..." Lily couldn’t help but let out a low, stifled moan.

"Did you sleep with Alex Carter last night?!" Ethan growled, pinning her against the wall, his body moving rhythmically against hers. His hand gripped her chin as he spoke, his voice hoarse with barely restrained anger.

"..." Lily clenched her teeth, closing her eyes tightly as she was forced to endure his relentless movements.

"I’m asking you, did you climb into Alex’s bed last night?!" Ethan’s fury spiked as she continued to remain silent. His fingers dug painfully into her chin, his voice cold and demanding, "Answer me! Did you sleep with him?!"

Was her silence because she felt guilty?

Did she really sleep with Alex?

Ethan’s mind was consumed with filth, with images of her in bed with another man.

I had already lost her on the gambling ship. So why am I here?! Why am I asking her if she slept with Alex while I’m inside her?

How ridiculous.

Lily stubbornly kept her lips sealed, refusing to say a word.

His movements became more forceful, driven by his anger, each thrust more complex and more punishing, as if he were trying to break her.

"Lily Anderson! If you don’t want me to torture you, then answer me!"

He’s already torturing me. How could it possibly get worse?

Lily’s back pressed against the cold wall, her body limp as she resigned herself to his aggression, allowing him to do as he pleased.

Her quiet submission only made Ethan’s chest tighten even more. He took her without restraint, leaving no room for gentleness.

Lily bit down on her lip so hard that she drew blood, fighting the urge to moan, even as pain and pleasure mingled within her.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity—long enough for Lily to feel like she would pass out in his arms—Ethan withdrew from her body and fastened his belt. Even in the darkness, she knew he had returned to his usual, immaculate appearance as if nothing had happened.

The moment his warmth left her, Lily’s legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground, her legs trembling uncontrollably.

The sticky wetness between her thighs only added to her humiliation.

Just moments ago, I told my uncle I had nothing to do with Ethan Blackwood anymore. And now this...

"Lily Anderson! You better never speak to me again!" Ethan shouted at her, his voice low and furious.

In the pitch-black alley, he couldn’t see her face clearly; only the small, fragile shadow of her body crouched on the ground.

His chest felt like it had been struck with a heavy blow.

He had taken her, doing what he wanted, yet he still wasn’t satisfied.

This woman was as stubborn as a mule... Her body clearly responded to him, yet she refused to speak.

"Bang—"

Ethan kicked the wall behind her with all his strength.

Lily’s body was still trembling from the aftershocks of what had just happened, involuntary shudders running through her...

He’s done, right?

He’s taken what he wanted, hasn’t he?

Can I go now...?

With trembling hands, Lily braced herself against the wall, slowly pulling herself to her feet. She straightened her clothes as best as possible, and with unsteady steps, she began walking out of the dark alley.

Behind her, she heard the sound of steady footsteps following.

Lily didn’t need to turn around to find Ethan trailing after her.

What does this man want? He’s already had what he wanted, violated me, and yet he still won’t leave?

Luckily, the alley was dark, and no neighbors had come out. If anyone had seen them, she wouldn’t have been able to explain it, no matter how hard she tried.

I can’t go to the corner store for soy sauce. With Ethan’s striking appearance, Mrs. Zhao from the store would spread gossip like wildfire. Soon, the whole neighborhood would know...

Lily thought momentarily, then headed straight for the main road and walked toward a distant shopping street.

The streetlights illuminated every corner on the main road, and cars rushed by, busy and hurried.

Lily walked along the sidewalk, her ears attuned to footsteps behind her. They remained steady, neither speeding up nor slowing down.

He’s already had me. What more does he want?

Isn’t he satisfied yet?

Lily’s head throbbed, and she glanced over her shoulder slightly. In the distance behind her, she saw Ethan’s tall shadow following her, ideally in step with her movements.

This insufferable man!

Entering a large supermarket, Lily grabbed a bottle of soy sauce from the shelf and headed to the checkout. A card was tossed onto the counter as she reached for her money.

Lily turned her head to glare coldly at the man beside her.

This was the first time that night she had seen Ethan clearly.

He was tall—so tall that, in her flat shoes, she barely reached his shoulder. His entire presence was enveloped in a dark, oppressive aura.

Ethan was dressed simply in a shirt and trousers, with a black coat draped casually over his arm.

His collar was slightly disheveled, and his short hair was a bit messy, but none of that could hide the striking handsomeness of his face. His finely chiseled features, his deep, dark eyes filled with displeasure, and his sensual lips still stained with a trace of blood made him look dangerously beautiful.

A dangerously attractive man.

The cashier stared at Ethan, wholly mesmerized, her eyes sparkling with hearts. She was so captivated by his appearance that she momentarily forgot to ring up the purchase.

"Ring it up!" Ethan snapped at the cashier impatiently.

"Oh, right! Sorry!" The cashier snapped out of her daze, reaching for the card with trembling hands. She gasped when she saw it. "A platinum card?! Using a platinum card to buy soy sauce?"

It was said that cards like these had no spending limit.

Wow, who is this guy? Do rich people these days not carry cash anymore? Using a platinum card to buy soy sauce...

"I have changed," Lily said, seeing the dazed expression on the cashier’s face. She pulled out some money and tossed it onto the counter.

"Use the card!" Ethan snapped, glaring coldly at the woman beside him.

"Keep the change," Lily said dismissively, ignoring him. She grabbed the bottle of soy sauce and walked out of the store, pushing the glass door open.

Ethan quickly followed, his voice filled with frustration. "Lily Anderson, what’s your problem?!"

This is the first time I’ve ever let a woman pay for something in my presence, even if it’s just a bottle of soy sauce.

Is this man seriously this petty?

We have nothing to do with each other anymore, and yet he keeps following me. Doesn’t he have anything better to do? Is he really this bored?!

A large hand suddenly grabbed her shoulder, forcing her to turn around. She glared at him, her expression cold.

"Lily Anderson, if you don’t say something tonight, I’ll keep following you!" Ethan’s face was ashen, his voice filled with rage as if he wouldn’t stop until he got what he wanted.

What kind of threat is that?!

Lily stared at him, speechless. But his threat hit the mark—if he kept following her, she wouldn’t be able to go home. She had spent the entire day kneeling to earn her uncle’s forgiveness...

If Ethan caused a scene, it would undo everything she had worked for.

It’s like he knows exactly what I’m afraid of... Lily thought, eyeing him warily.

Instead of heading back, she decided to stop right where she was, standing still by the side of the road.

Let’s see who has more time to waste—him, the busy CEO of Blackwood Enterprise’s Asia-Pacific division, or me, an unemployed nobody.

"Fine, stand here all night if you want!" Exasperated, Ethan threw his coat to the ground, his chest heaving angrily.

I’d rather she scream at me than act like I’m invisible. She’s treating me like I’m less than a stranger...

Lily Anderson, you can look down on me once, but you won’t do it twice. I’m not that patient.

Time continued to tick by...

Ethan showed no signs of leaving.

Lily stood motionless by the side of the road, her face expressionless, though inside, she was starting to panic. I’ve been gone for so long just to buy soy sauce. If I don’t return soon, my uncle will come looking for me...

Even though she had deliberately taken a detour to the giant supermarket, what if her uncle decided to come after her?

If I say something, he’ll leave. Perhaps then, he’ll finally let me go.

Lily glanced at Ethan, who was standing nearby, contemplating whether or not she should say something.

Suddenly, Ethan moved. He jumped over the guardrail beside the road and stood in the middle of the street.

Lily was caught off guard, staring at him in disbelief.

What’s he doing?

"Lily Anderson!" Ethan turned to face her, his dark eyes locked onto hers as he slowly backed further into the street. "If you keep acting like I don’t exist, I’ll die right here in front of you!"

A car zoomed past him, temporarily blocking her view of him.

The next moment, the car had passed, and she saw Ethan still backing into the middle of the road.

Is he insane?!

Does he really think I care about his life? How ridiculous. If he wants to die, he should just go ahead!

If he dies, maybe I’ll finally get some peace.

Lily deliberately flashed him disdainfully with that thought, then turned and walked away.

He can die if he wants. What does it matter to me?

Who cares about the life of a rapist?!

Lily quickened her pace, heading back toward home. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the cars speeding down the road as if they were racing against time.

Lily tightened her grip on the bottle of soy sauce, reminding herself not to turn around and to keep walking.

But suddenly, another car sped down the center of the road... 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

And Ethan was standing directly in its path.

He’s going to get hit.

Without thinking, Lily spun around, her voice tearing through the night as she screamed, "Ethan Blackwood!"

Standing motionless in the middle of the road, Ethan seemed to hear her call. Instantly, he dashed back toward her, quickly leaping over the guardrail to safety.

A smug smile spread across Ethan’s face as he sauntered to her as if he had uncovered some grand secret. "Lily Anderson! So you do care if I die!"

Just like on the gambling ship. Today, it’s the same.

This woman... doesn’t want me dead.

This realization seemed to lift a weight off Ethan’s chest, easing the frustration he had felt earlier.

Lily stared at him in disbelief. How sick is this man? He ran into the middle of the road, risking his life just to get me to talk?

Isn’t that a bit too insane? And now he looks so pleased with himself!

I always thought he was cruel to others, but he’s just as ruthless toward himself!

Why does he have to pull this stunt in front of me?!

In the distance, a white sports car sat quietly on the side of the road. Alex sat in the driver’s seat, his eyes fixed on the pair standing by the street. They stood face to face, talking, though he couldn’t hear what they were saying.
