Chapter 305: Chapter 305 - Assigning Someone to Welcome a Guest

"B-But—mmph!"

Olivia’s protest was muffled as her face was pressed against his firm, muscular chest. Her hands instinctively came up, one clutching his shoulder, the other flat against his abs for support.

She could feel everything. The hardness of his muscles—like steel wrapped in warm skin. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat. The heat radiating from his body.

"KYAAAAA~!"

The slime dragon roared—adorably—and launched itself into the sky.

WHOOOOSH.

Olivia felt her stomach drop as they ascended rapidly. Wind whipped past them, pulling at her blonde hair, tugging at Viktor’s oversized shirt that hung off her frame.

She squeezed her eyes shut, clutching Viktor tighter. Her soft, pillow-like body was completely pressed against his firm, steel-like frame. She could feel the way her generous breasts squashed against his abs, molding to his shape.

’He’s so... solid,’ she thought dazedly. ’Like holding onto a statue. But warm. Safe.’

For the first time in days—maybe in her entire life—Olivia felt protected. Supported. Like she wasn’t the one who had to be strong.

Curiosity got the better of her. She tilted her head slightly, peeking out from where her face was pressed against his chest.

The world below was shrinking. Trees became dots. The forest path was a thin brown line cutting through green. In the distance, she could see the Tower—massive, dark, pulsing with that ominous purple light.

And above her, the artificial sky stretched endlessly blue.

’It’s... beautiful,’ she thought.

Her golden eyes shifted, looking up at Viktor’s face.

He stood perfectly balanced on the slime dragon’s head, his black hair ruffling in the wind. His expression was calm, composed, eyes half-closed against the rushing air. His sharp features were illuminated by the sunlight—strong jaw, straight nose, those dark purple-tinged eyes that seemed to see everything.

He looked like a god. Like some divine being from the old scriptures, standing untouchable above the mortal world.

’How can someone look like that?’ Olivia wondered, unable to tear her gaze away.

Viktor’s eyes opened slightly, glancing down.

Their gazes met.

Badump.

Olivia’s heart skipped.

She immediately averted her eyes, burying her face back into his chest, her cheeks burning with sudden heat.

’Why did I look away?!’ she mentally berated herself. ’That was so rude! He’ll think I’m scared of him!’

Viktor raised an eyebrow, momentarily confused by her reaction. ’Did I scare her? I thought I was being reassuring...’

The slime dragon began descending, its flight path arcing downward in a smooth glide.

Olivia felt the change in momentum, the way Viktor’s stance adjusted subtly to compensate. He held her securely the entire time, never loosening his grip.

THUD.

They landed softly in front of a building—a manor, old but surprisingly well-maintained. The slime dragon bounced once, then settled, lowering itself so Viktor could step off.

He jumped down gracefully, still holding Olivia, and set her gently on her feet.

Her legs wobbled immediately. Viktor kept one hand on her waist until she steadied.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Y-Yes," Olivia stammered, smoothing down the oversized shirt. She looked around, taking in her surroundings.

The manor was modest by noble standards but impressive compared to the monastery’s austere buildings. Stone walls, wooden accents, a well-maintained garden with trimmed hedges. Everything was clean, organized, peaceful.

Her golden eyes scanned the area with growing confusion. "Is this... servant quarters?" she asked hesitantly.

Viktor’s mouth twitched.

’Servant quarters. She thinks my manor is servant quarters.’

He wasn’t sure whether to be insulted or amused. True, it wasn’t a grand palace, but it was his—the lord’s manor of this territory.

He shook his head. "Indeed. We are going to stay here."

"Oh." Olivia nodded, accepting this explanation easily. Then her eyes widened slightly. "Wait, you’ll stay too?"

"Not always," Viktor clarified, moving toward the entrance. "But I will place someone to protect you."

"Protect me?" Olivia echoed, following him. Her voice was soft, almost wondering. "Why would I need..."

She trailed off, looking toward the distant Tower again. Right. Monsters. Dungeon. Danger.

’But... protect me...’ The words felt foreign. She was used to being the protector, the healer, the one others relied on.

They entered the manor. The interior was clean, furnished simply but comfortably. Sunlight streamed through windows, illuminating dust motes in the air.

Viktor walked to the center of the main hall, then stopped and turned.

"Hey, Kaida," he called out.

Olivia blinked. "Who’s—"

WHOOSH.

A gust of wind exploded through the room. Papers scattered. Olivia’s blonde hair whipped around her face.

And suddenly, standing directly in front of Viktor, was a woman.

She materialized out of thin air—red hair cropped short and spiky, fierce crimson eyes, athletic build wrapped in form-fitting combat attire. Her entire presence screamed warrior.

Kaida looked at Viktor first, her expression neutral. Then her gaze shifted to Olivia.

Her eyes narrowed immediately.

"Did you just molest a woman?" Kaida asked flatly, her voice dripping with accusation. "You pervert."

"WHAT?!" Olivia’s face flushed crimson. "N-No! He didn’t—I mean—we were just—!"

Viktor’s eye twitched. ’Oh fuck, I forgot Kaida has zero social filter.’

He looked at Olivia—standing there in his oversized shirt, hair a mess, body bruised, clearly having been carried by him. From an outside perspective, it probably did look bad.

"Switch," Viktor said quickly.

"Huh?" Kaida blinked. "But I just got—"

POP.

Kaida vanished instantly, her body dissolving into particles of light.

And in her place appeared—

Mira.

Her green eyes blinking, even though she was wearing the robe with her skirt bunched up near her waist, while her hand was between her legs with fingers, who knows if knuckle deep, even though she gave him a blowjob this morning.

She stood there caught mid-motion.

"—I want husband’s..?" Mira finished, her voice trailing off as she processed her new location. Then she looked down at her own hand. "Wait, how am I here?!"

Her face went bright red.

"KYAAAAA!" Olivia screamed, spinning around to face away, her hands covering her burning face. "I’M SORRY! I DIDN’T MEAN TO SEE! I’M SO SORRY!"

’What the hell, you don’t flush seeing me bare chest?’, Viktor closed his eyes slowly, realizing that it seemed this Mistress Olivia was from some women’s dormitory.

His mouth twitched violently.

The silence stretched.

Mira quickly removed her hand, smoothing down her dress with as much dignity as she could muster. "H-Husband, you could have given me warning before summoning me!"

"I tried switching to avoid this exact situation," Viktor said flatly, his eyes still closed.

"Then why did you switch TO me?!" Mira protested.

’Yeah, my bad, but who knew you would be so horny?’

"Because I thought you’d be the safe option," Viktor muttered. "Clearly, I was wrong."

Olivia was still facing away, trembling slightly. Her voice came out small and mortified. "I-I’m very sorry for intruding on... on whatever that was..."

’The first impression,’ Viktor thought, opening his eyes to stare at the ceiling, ’is completely destroyed.’

He looked at Olivia’s back—shoulders hunched, clearly uncomfortable, probably rethinking every life choice that led her to this moment.

Then he looked at Mira—face still red, trying to act natural despite being caught in the most compromising position possible.

’I see,’ Viktor thought with grim realization. ’Olivia... is much smarter than my wives.’

He regretted even doubting Olivia’s brain cells. That clearly seems to be ahead of his wife’s, who have really had their brains fucked up by him.

Viktor took a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. The situation was spiraling, and he needed to regain control before Olivia fled screaming into the forest.

"Ahem." He cleared his throat loudly, drawing both women’s attention. "Let me start over. Properly this time." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

He walked over to Mira, who was still trying to look dignified despite being caught in the most compromising position imaginable. Viktor wrapped an arm around her waist affectionately, pulling her close against his side.

"Olivia," Viktor said, his voice taking on a warmer tone, "this is Mira. My wife."

The way he said "my wife" carried such genuine affection that Olivia couldn’t help but relax slightly. Her shoulders dropped, her breathing steadied.

"Your... wife," Olivia repeated, turning back around fully now. Her golden eyes studied Mira more carefully—the gentle green eyes, the soft smile.

There was something inherently non-threatening about Mira. Something warm and maternal despite the embarrassing circumstances.

Olivia’s flush slowly faded, replaced by a more normal expression. "I see. That’s... that’s wonderful. Congratulations on your marriage." She bowed politely as she sensed soemthing making her blink as her healong ability being gifted eith nature affinity and life, she added. "And on the baby."

’!’

’What?’ Viktor was taken aback but felt a strange calm hearing her words.

"Thank you!" Mira beamed, her earlier embarrassment evaporating like morning dew. She placed both hands on her not-so-swollen belly, doubting whether anyone would ever notice or not, considering it was not that prominent yet and would take a few more days.

But finding someone notice without being told made her beam with excitement, "We’re very excited."

Viktor’s hand rested comfortably on Mira’s hip, his thumb rubbing small circles—an unconscious gesture of intimacy.

"And Mira," Viktor continued, looking down at his wife, "this is Priestess Olivia. She’s come from the monastery to... provide healing services to the territory."

’Healing?’, Mira, now composed, looked towards Olivia and already felt too much suspicion about how her husband had his bare body exposed while this woman had torn clothes in places covered by his shirt.

"Fufu~ Provide some services. I see, then shouldn’t she start with giving service to the lord of this place?"

’Tch.’ Viktor flinched as he looked at Mira before realizing what she meant,’ This pervert...’
