Chapter 263

Six beasts were darting towards Felix.

The werewolf snarled at the beast with fury written all over his face.

Why did he have to handle this many at once?

Why couldn’t Ray deal with something like this instead?

Why him?

Why not Kai too?

Thinking of those two, Felix took his gaze away from the beasts heading his way to look for the two Aspirants.

A loud drew his attention as a spider could be seen flying off a building top.

On it?

Ray could be seen surrounded by three other beasts.

’Not as many as mine...’

His thoughts trailed off as he saw Kai smiling in the middle of ten... ten beasts?!

And afterwards, he didn’t have the time to think nor be shocked as his problems were now all over him with their scythes flying towards him, ready to decapitate him immediately.

However, he shocked the beasts by dashing backward just in the nick of time as the scythes tore through the spot he occupied.

Some of the scythes slammed into eachother with the sound of steel hitting steel being heard.

The main matter; Felix was safe from their clutches as he stood a few distances away from them.

He took a stance.

Hands lifted in front of his face as he shifted into a combat stance while gesturing at the spiders to come at him.

The beasts welcomed the invitation wholeheartedly and dashed towards him with furious speed.

The werewolf was unfazed as the sound of metallic feet clicking against eachother was heard.

Within a few seconds, they were upon him with their scythes flying towards him from different areas.

Weaving in between the scythes, Felix cast a brief glance upward to see the drone panning around the area.

Then he clutched another scythe in between his arm, stopping the beast from moving an inch.

Smashing his toes from below, he then released the scythe sending the beast flying away from him from the force of the kick.

Ducking and spinning around at the same time allowed him dodge another scythe that tore through the space where his head occupied a second ago.

’Screw this.’

Felix twisted around, right fist drawn back like a coiled spring, left arm cutting through the wind to balance.

Within a second, he hammered it into the mandibles of a second beast causing a loud crack to echo through the air as a deep chasm cracked open on the concrete floor while the beast was lifted off its feet and sent hurtling into the distance.

Vaulting into the air in time, he avoided a spider that crashed into his position with scythes ripping through the concrete and sending chunks of it flying into the air.

As if wanting to forcefully bring him down, one of the spiders dug its scythes into a cracked car and then hurled it at him.

How that was possible; Felix didn’t know.

All he knew was that a car was hurtling towards his position with rapid momentum.

Twisting his hip around, a loud crack was heard as he swung his leg in a powerful roundhouse kick that smashed into the car.

Bang! BOOOM!

’Great. So long for not letting them notice me.’

A massive dent appeared on the side Felix struck and then with lightning speed, the car was hurled out of the air, speeding towards the spider with break neck speed.

Within a second, the beast was clobbered into the ground with the car smashing and some parts of the vehicle ripping through it as glass scattered in all directions. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Black liquid pooled beneath the beast as the werewolf landed with a grin on his face.

Three down... three more to go.

Without delay, he burst towards the beasts.

In a blur of movement, he appeared before their midst.

Glancing at the sky for a second, he noticed a drone rushing towards his position.

His hands shifted into powerful claws almost immediately as he blurred forward.

A swing here. A slash here.

Weave. Duck. Block. Dodge.

He was beginning to crack through the beasts.

Vaulting into the air for a second, he spun back around and crashed his leg through the veins holding one of the beast’s head and ripped through it sending the head flying away.

Landing in the middle of the broken two; a scythe shot towards him but he grabbed it in his claws and then proceeded to yank the beast towards him before smashing his fist through its face.

The spider hurled backward with blazing momentum and within a blink, it collided with the last beast and they went flying through the air.

Van had immediately changed his hand cannons into a pair of energy blades enabling him deflect the scythe of the beast to the side in time.

Wasting no time whatsoever, he pounced forward with a slash towards one of the spider’s limbs.

He managed to make it in time as the blade tore through the vein of that leg ripping it freely.

A second scythe darted towards his chest but with the aid of the vms gear, he bound backward as the scythe tore through his uniform almost touching his chest if it wasn’t for his quick thinking.

Before he could land, the beast lunged towards him angrily.

Its movements fast and not of someone who’s leg had just been severed.

Swinging its talons towards Van’s side, the Aspirant did all his possible best to bring his blades in that direction therefore absorbing the impact from the talons.

’With my observations... there’s always a four seconds gap before they can attack again if the first fails.’

Two seconds passed and Van with all his might managed to push the talons away in time as a scythe was rushing towards his head with deadly speed.

Ducking in fear of being decapitated, Van twisted around, his mind flashing to seeing Ray fight countless times.

Kicking off the ground, his boots activated allowing him to spin around, his brain spinning as he thought back to when his best friend had used the boots for the first time.

Without hesitation, he twirled around and dove downward like a broken arrow cutting through the air with high speed.

’Two seconds left...’

Swinging his energy blades, he smashed it into the veins holding the head together and with a bit of a struggle, he managed to rip it off allowing the head to roll to the ground.
