My Scheming Little Devil - Chapter 1765: Damn, Damn, Damn
Jun Yiyi hurriedly found the number of the stolen lady soldier, "Uh... I lost contact with my commander and now I don’t know what to do?"
"Does Yalan have girls as fighter pilots too?"
The other person’s voice seemed a bit surprised, and the tone softened.
"Which division are you in?"
Jun Yiyi thought, oh no, they’re checking identity now. If I’m exposed, I’ll probably die even worse.
She cautiously probed, "Second Division."
"I see," the other person’s stern voice softened quite a bit, somewhat comforting, "Your division’s captain has died. Please accept my condolences."
Jun Yiyi breathed a sigh of relief, patted her chest, and couldn’t help marveling at her luck, stumbling around like that and still dodging calamity.
As for condolences, sorry, she didn’t even know who that captain was. What’s there to grieve?
"The captain’s already dead, so I..." Jun Yiyi was about to say, I’ll head back.
But the other said, "You don’t know what to do, right? Don’t worry, the Second Division’s combat personnel have all been reassigned to other divisions. Since you’re alone, I’ll assign you to my division. I’m Wubai, the Seventh Division’s commander, ahead of you at thirty degrees. Stick with me and don’t wander off!"
Jun Yiyi was frustrated. She didn’t want to go off to die with him. Dammit, she just wanted to return.
But she didn’t dare disobey because on the battlefield, any higher command officer has the authority to order soldiers. As a soldier, not following orders is odd and very serious, and can be considered desertion, a crime punishable by execution.
Jun Yiyi was troubled; advancing was difficult, retreating even more so, as retreating might immediately get her shot down. Dammit, the great-aunt is going in!
She steeled herself and pressed the button, hurriedly catching up to the white fighter jet ahead.
She already planned to slip away when Commander Wubai was preoccupied with the enemy, fleeing back while keeping her little life intact, no matter the lack of loyalty.
Following Wubai towards a western battle zone on the perimeter, before entering, several control shells flew over, two aimed at Wubai’s fighter, one towards Jun Yiyi.
"Ten degrees ahead, at 3,500 meters, your position has been locked by the enemy’s guided missile! Please evade or shoot down the missile!" The control screen’s system issued an automatic alert. Jun Yiyi was dumbfounded; hadn’t they entered the battle zone yet? They were attacked already.
Shit, what to do? She had no idea how to evade, nor how to shoot down a missile.
Oh, damn it, the missile was coming; she was going to die!
Oh shit shit shit, this is not how it’s supposed to go—
No time to think!
Jun Yiyi urgently pressed the supersonic button, and the fighter jet, previously cruising at low speed, seemed to suddenly thrust into a massive propulsion force, and instantly vanished from its original spot.
A second later, Jun Yiyi saw a missile fly past her fighter a few meters away, hitting another jet behind and exploded, burning brightly, and spiraling down from the sky.
Jun Yiyi’s face went slightly pale. Thankfully she dodged, or it would have been her who got blasted to death.
"What happened with you? Why didn’t you shoot down that missile?" Wubai’s voice came through the communicator, sounding angry and questioning, clearly upset with her actions.
Jun Yiyi hadn’t expected him to be so angry and felt a bit guilty.
"I don’t know how to deploy missiles nor understand the fighter’s operations well."
Wubai was shocked: "Didn’t you receive professional training? How could your captain let such a novice onto the battlefield? It’s absurd!"
