Yiyi openly flew back to Yalan Country and returned to Madam Roland and Professor Du Le’s home, startling the couple.

"Oh my, you’re still alive! Tsk tsk, it’s truly a miracle." Madam Roland wore a face of wonder and surprise. She always spoke her mind, straightforward and direct.

Yiyi had three black lines on her forehead, feeling like everyone thought she was dead.

Although the couple’s words seemed unreliable, Yiyi understood their personalities and knew they cared about her deeply.

"So, girl, where on earth did you go?" Madam Roland couldn’t help but ask.

Yiyi had already thought of an explanation for her return. After all, being caught by Fengye Wuyin and forced to participate in an assassination of the Councilman’s wife wasn’t something that could be blamed on her. "You’re not blaming me for making such a big decision without consulting you?" Yiyi didn’t regret her decision, but this couple were her lifesavers and the only friends she knew in this world. It felt a bit wrong not to discuss such an important matter with them.

Madam Roland laughed heartily and patted her shoulder, making a loud booming sound.

Professor Du Le, the gentle person, nodded with a smile.

Yiyi was truly touched. This couple was genuinely carefree and kind-hearted, saving people without expecting gratitude or forcing others to stay. They were truly open-minded, and she wondered why such a couple with so much soul in their hearts would reside in this small seaside town.

"By the way, didn’t you say before that you wanted to apply to the Imperial Institute of Technology? I used to think you were dreaming, having no identity and all, applying to some school... I didn’t expect that within a month you managed to go abroad and become a governor’s adoptive daughter. That’s an extraordinary feat; it seems applying to that school isn’t an impossible task after all."

Madam Roland pondered, a touch of gentleness and compassion passing through her deep blue eyes.

"Hey, why don’t you teach her some knowledge of technology, or else when she goes to Aus Empire, it’ll be hard to keep up with the local students there? If she fails the exams, wouldn’t those scoundrels in the Aus Empire laugh at us for teaching someone stupid? That would be a real embarrassment for us!"
