My Lust System: I Inherited The Sin Of Lust And His Three Wives
Chapter 231: Damian Vs Corbin [1]
Damian stood silently beneath the heavens while golden divine energy continued constructing the massive cathedral at terrifying speed.
Gigantic golden pillars emerged one after another from thin air while enormous walls layered themselves endlessly across the skies. Divine scriptures burned brightly across every surface while cathedral bells echoed throughout the battlefield like the coming of judgment day itself.
The structure continued growing larger and more oppressive, yet Damian made no attempt to stop it. He simply watched.
His glowing violet eyes remained fixed on the cathedral forming above while his expression carried more boredom than concern.
Rin tilted his head slightly while staring at him.
"You won’t stop it?"
Damian shrugged casually.
"If I kill him, it ends anyway." His tone remained indifferent. "So what’s the point rushing?"
The fox stared at him for a moment before sighing. Yet it had to admit Damian had already grown strong enough to justify that arrogance.
Meanwhile, the enormous sphere of folded angelic wings slowly descended from the heavens toward ground level. Golden feathers shimmered brightly beneath the divine radiance surrounding the battlefield while Corbin remained standing atop the winged shell calmly.
Damian’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked toward the small gaps between the folded wings.
Within the darkness behind them was a pair of ancient golden eyes stared directly back at him coldly. The archangel remained hidden inside the cocoon while silently observing everything unfolding.
Damian slowly exhaled afterward.
"If only you had walked away I wouldn’t have to soil my hands with the blood of my own kind." he sighed tiredly.
Corbin chuckled softly at those words. Then casually, he jumped down from the wing sphere and landed smoothly.
Golden light swirled around his white cassock while the pressure radiating from his body intensified steadily alongside the growing cathedral above.
"Come on, let’s not pretend." Corbin smiled lightly. "You and I both know you are no longer the same man you were after that fight."
The smile on his face faded gradually afterward.
"You have become more demon than human." Corbin said.
The accusation hung heavily within the battlefield yet Damian showed no anger. Instead he nodded calmly.
"True." Damian lowered his gaze toward his palms slowly. "I have become more demon than human."
His voice sounded thoughtful now. Because honestly... He no longer felt human anymore. There was no fear inside him. No uncertainty. No exhaustion. No weakness.Only endless ambition, overwhelming confidence and untamed desire.
Even sleep itself had begun feeling unnecessary. Sometimes Damian genuinely struggled to understand what he was becoming.
Yet despite all that his eyes lifted once more toward Corbin.
"However I have never once abandoned humanity." Damian spoke firmly.
The certainty in his voice made even Corbin narrow his eyes slightly.
"In fact, everything I do now is for the sake of humanity."
And Damian truly meant it. If not for his desire to stand above everything and protect those he cared about, he would have joined Sol without hesitation.
Yet that did not mean he would ever stand against humanity itself.
No.
Damian intended to continue what Sol started. Humanity would dominate the universe. The only difference was Damian intended to achieve it intelligently rather than through endless slaughter.
As the silence stretched between them, the massive shell of angelic wings behind Corbin slowly began unfolding completely. Golden feathers spread outward one after another until Gilbert’s full figure finally became visible.
Damian’s expression shifted slightly afterward. Because the archangel no longer looked majestic.
Burn wounds covered Gilbert’s body entirely. Large sections of flesh appeared charred black while several feathers were missing completely from one wing. Cracks spread visibly throughout the angel’s golden armor like damage that had never fully healed.
Their battle against Duke Haborym had clearly scarred Gilbert far more deeply than expected. The once divine archangel now looked almost grotesque.
"Pay attention."
Rin’s voice snapped Damian out of his thoughts instantly.
Damian’s eyes shifted immediately. Only then did he notice the fleeing priests and guardian angels had returned completely. One after another, they surrounded the growing cathedral before slowly sitting upon the ground.
Each of them pulled out glowing pendants before clutching them tightly against their chests while muttering ancient words beneath their breaths.
The chanting spread endlessly throughout the battlefield.
Damian frowned slightly. He could not understand the language. Yet despite that, he could clearly feel the cathedral swelling with greater power..
Damian’s expression changed slightly. He slowly looked down toward his own hand before clenching and unclenching his fingers repeatedly.
His eyes narrowed because he could feel it now. His strength was fading. The sensation resembled invisible chains wrapping tightly around his demonic heart and dragging his power downward. And unlike before, the suppression this time was vastly stronger than what he experienced during the battle against Duke Haborym.
"Okay..." Damian admitted calmly.
"They’re actually doing pretty well."
Yet despite the growing suppression squeezing against his demonic core, his heart still continued beating steadily.
These people still did not understand why Damian remained confident.Back when he fought Duke Haborym, he had only been a Lesser Demon. Now he was already a Demon Elite.Just one step away from becoming a Demon Noble.
Every evolution increased the gains received from leveling.
The current Damian had already surpassed Duke Haborym entirely despite still being beneath noble rank. Corbin and his priests were terrifying against normal demons. Unfortunately for them they were fighting a Prince of Hell.
"Alright. Talk time is over." Damian finally sighed "Let’s get this over with."
His glowing violet eyes locked onto Corbin completely.
BOOOOM!!!
A violent shockwave exploded across the battlefield as Damian vanished instantly. The earth shattered beneath where he once stood while black winds erupted outward violently.
Damian appeared directly before Corbin. His arm swung forward casually toward the priest’s face with enough force to distort the surrounding air itself.
The attack looked simple but the pressure behind it was monstrous. Yet just inches away from Corbin’s face Corbin caught the slap.
Bam!
The entire battlefield shook violently beneath the impact. Golden divine energy exploded outward around Corbin’s feet while cracks spread across the ground beneath him endlessly.
Damian frowned slightly. For the first time since the battle began he looked genuinely surprised because Corbin had actually managed to stop him. Yet from the look on Corbin’s face, the priest was clearly struggling.
Veins bulged visibly across his arms while divine light surged violently around his body in an effort to hold Damian’s strength back.
Damian noticed his teeth clenching tightly as his knees trembled slightly beneath the pressure. Corbin had indeed become much stronger within the Cathedral. But it was still not enough. All he needed to do now was apply a little more force and he will squash this priest.
