When asked by Flora Lane, Seraphina Vaughn didn’t know how to answer.

Because she couldn’t point to anything specific, looking back, Julian Bishop didn’t seem to have done anything to her either.

Just like Audrey Sutton said earlier, the two of them barely interacted on the journey, barely said a word.

But even she couldn’t understand herself, the disgust seemed to come from deep within, whenever she thought of Julian Bishop, Seraphina Vaughn would unconsciously frown.

Even more unwilling to acknowledge Julian Bishop as the child’s father.

Seeing Seraphina Vaughn’s silence, Flora Lane said, "See, you can’t explain it yourself, you just have a bias against him. Or are you actually shy? Afraid to meet him, that’s why you’re deliberately showing these emotions."

"Say whatever you want, I simply don’t like him, and I’ve decided to never tell him about the child, you better not let it slip."

Audrey Sutton hesitated for a moment and said, "Brother Seraphina, don’t be so quick to dismiss Mr. Bishop. You’re rejecting him without even trying to connect, that’s unreasonable."

Phoebe King: "Honestly, Old Man Bishop isn’t the type to be unreasonable, even if you tell him the truth and express your stance, Old Man Bishop will surely consider and support your views. If you truly don’t want him disturbing your life, Old Man Bishop might just send the child support each month and not bother you further."

Flora Lane proposed, "Then how about discussing if you two don’t marry, but co-parent the child, so there’s no emotional burden on either of you, and the child can receive love from both parents."

Seraphina Vaughn still refused, "I don’t want any complications, I don’t need his child support either. It’s best if he just pretends it never happened and continues with his life, I absolutely won’t bother him."

Audrey Sutton: "Mr. Bishop isn’t married and neither are you, why do you think Mr. Bishop would bother you? I think Flora’s suggestion is good too, if you really don’t want to talk about romantic relationships, just make things clear to Mr. Bishop, he won’t be pushy."

Phoebe King: "Exactly. Besides, Old Man Bishop is the child’s father after all, at the very least let him know about the child, then you both can discuss how to handle it. He will respect your wishes."

Flora Lane: "I also think this issue shouldn’t be hidden. Paper can’t wrap fire, can you guarantee to hide it for a lifetime? Discuss the conditions now to avoid unexpected trouble for everyone later."

Listening to everyone, Seraphina Vaughn’s head started to spin.

Audrey Sutton then said, "I think maybe you should arrange a time to meet and talk?"

Seraphina Vaughn didn’t immediately deny it this time, instead, pondered a bit and murmured, "...what’s there to talk about? I really don’t want to see him."

Flora Lane: "Brother Seraphina, when did you become so stubborn? Think about it from another angle—if Julian Bishop gets married and has kids with another girl, living happily as a family, then suddenly learns he has a child outside, if you were that girl, you’d feel uneasy too. If this results in divorce and you unintentionally ruin a family, wouldn’t you be responsible?"

Seraphina Vaughn swallowed and said, "...don’t burden me with such guilt."

Audrey Sutton: "Actually, Flora makes sense too. Brother Seraphina, a child is no small matter, go to Mr. Bishop and make things clear. Keeping it from him is a burden on you as well, isn’t it?"

Phoebe King: "Yes, there’s really no need to keep it a secret. Speak openly and express your thoughts to Old Man Bishop. If you truly don’t want any entanglement, he’ll respect it."

Flora Lane gently nudged Audrey Sutton’s arm and said, "Call your husband and ask if Julian Bishop is free now, there’s a lady who wants to meet him."

Seraphina Vaughn quickly stopped them, "Don’t! Just give me his contact info, I’ll find him myself."

Phoebe King quickly found Julian Bishop’s phone number from her phone and handed it to Seraphina Vaughn, saying, "Why not arrange to meet him now?"

Seraphina Vaughn started noting down the phone number while saying, "I’ll think about it when I get back, don’t tell him for now."

Flora Lane: "You’re not just brushing us off, are you?"

Seraphina Vaughn: "How could I brush you off? You’re all more eager than I am."

Audrey Sutton laughed and said, "We’re doing this for your own good."

"Got it, I’ll go find him and clarify things. But I need to visit the law firm first to ask the necessary questions."

Audrey Sutton: "What a coincidence, my fourth brother’s in that business, let me ask where he’s at."

Seraphina Vaughn waved her hand, "Don’t let the whole world know about this! I’ll just ask a friend."

Phoebe King: "In a few days, I’ll ask Old Man Bishop about the situation, so don’t think you can just hide."

"Got it! You guys are so annoying!" Seraphina Vaughn muttered, but these issues had been troubling her for a while.

Finding a chance to clear things up would be good.

The next day.

Julian Bishop arrived at the company half an hour early as usual, preparing materials for the morning meeting.

He always had a complete plan and arrangement and handled all matters properly.

Around eight o’clock, employees started arriving at the company.

Seraphina Vaughn was there for the first time, parked her car roadside after surveying the area and found a spot to settle in.

She wore a relatively loose dress, well covering her slightly protruding belly.

Entering the company building, the receptionist cheerfully asked, "Miss, is there anything I can help you with?"

Seraphina Vaughn took off her sunglasses, glanced around, and said, "I’m looking for someone with the surname Bishop."

The receptionist was momentarily confused and asked, "Surname Bishop? Miss, could you be more specific? We have quite a few people named Bishop."

"Julian Bishop."

Seraphina Vaughn always found his name to have a tricky pronunciation, to this day she didn’t know which three characters it was, only heard it from Audrey Sutton and the others.

The receptionist was even more stunned, this time out of astonishment.

"President Bishop? Miss, do you have an appointment? I can check the schedule for you, may I know your name?"

Seraphina Vaughn: "Tell him to come down, he’ll recognize me once he sees me."

The receptionist noticed Seraphina Vaughn’s relaxed attire, didn’t appear to be someone from the workplace, possibly not here for business.

If not for work, then... a private matter?

Not daring to slack off, the receptionist said, "Miss, please have a seat here, I’ll notify him."

The call was made to the upper floor, answered by someone in the secretary’s office.

The secretary said impatiently, "If there’s no appointment, don’t bother. President Bishop is in a meeting, no time for irrelevant people."

The receptionist whispered, "...she’s a young, attractive girl, could she be President Bishop’s girlfriend? So, how about notifying President Bishop?"

The secretary said even more impatiently, "President Bishop’s girlfriend wouldn’t lack his contact information, she could directly call him, right? No need for you to relay it? It’s surely some random women out there with uncertain intent. Don’t you have the brains to judge?"

After scolding, the secretary hung up the phone.
