Rivia Police Department.

Erin Yates had just returned from handling business outside when she saw that black Audi parked outside the police hall again.

As her brows furrowed, she heard that annoying voice, "Erin, you’re back! Must be exhausted, right? I got you bubble tea and snacks."

Erin shot Morgan Quinn a glance, not stopping as she walked into the police hall, impatiently asking, "What are you here for again?"

Morgan followed Erin, grinning cheekily, "Of course, I’m here to see you. Been waiting for quite a while. They said you had an errand to run, so I just waited here for you."

Seeing Morgan like a sticky candy, Erin reluctantly stopped, turned, and said, "I’m at work. If Mr. Quinn has anything, you can go over there, explain the situation, and register it. If not, please leave."

"Of course, there’s something. I just wanted to ask if those damn women who abducted me last time were caught?"

Erin was already tired of this excuse, rolling her eyes and suppressing her urge to curse, "I’ve already told you. Once there’s news, you’ll be notified by phone, no need for Mr. Quinn to come here every other day."

Morgan said, "Since they haven’t been caught, shouldn’t you ask if I have any clues? I’m the victim, after all."

Erin clenched her fists, gritting her teeth, "Well, do you have any clues?!"

Morgan frowned, "Is this the service attitude of a People’s Police? Not even a smile? Believe it or not, I’ll complain about you?"

Clearly, Erin didn’t have the time nor mood to pamper Morgan. She raised her hand and called over a young girl at the computer, "Sasha, take this gentleman inside to find Officer Charlie; he has clues about the matter last time."

Before Sasha could respond, Morgan said, "No way, I only want to tell you the clue."

Erin clenched her fists, suppressing the urge to hit him, "I’m about to rush back to a scene, you just wait here!"

"Then I’ll accompany you there."

Erin ignored him, quickly walking towards the office inside, returning shortly with a file folder, and then hurried back to where she parked.

Morgan brazenly followed, taking the snacks and bubble tea with him. As soon as Erin unlocked the car, he moved faster than Erin, diving into the passenger seat.

Erin looked at him, gritting her teeth; she dared not make a move in front of the police hall, as she had a master waiting for her to deliver documents, no time to dawdle with Morgan.

So, Erin didn’t dispute with him, swiftly driving the car away.

Seated in the car, Morgan began to babble, "Erin, you..."

"Enough with that! Officer Yates! How many times must I tell you!" Erin turned with frustration, shouting at Morgan.

Morgan quickly placated, "Alright, alright, Officer Yates, don’t be angry, drive safely."

Erin stared ahead, her chest heaving with anger.

Morgan took out a snack from the bag, turned and asked, "Hungry? Should I feed you one?"

Erin pretended not to hear, ignoring him.

Morgan muttered to himself, "Don’t like this one? I bought many kinds, see which one you prefer?"

Saying so, Morgan removed the snack boxes one by one from the bag, placing them on the dash.

Just as he was taking out the third box from his pocket, he heard Erin’s extremely subdued voice, "Don’t force me to act!"

Morgan immediately cowered, "Please Erin! I didn’t mean anything, just worried you were too busy to eat properly, bad for your stomach. Snacks on hand, eat one when hungry."

Initially, Morgan was unconvinced by Erin, thinking the surprise cross-body throw she pulled on him was only a sneak attack, catching him off guard.

But after witnessing Erin’s skills in the bar, and hearing around the police hall that 90 percent of the male students in police school were no match for her, Morgan realized his moves stood no chance against Erin, thoroughly accepting it.

Moreover, he wasn’t here for arguments with her, just... he found this woman particularly captivating, constantly thinking of her after returning.

During his return, he had gone to the bar twice and felt the women there lacked something, unable to stir his excitement, and thus frequented the police hall every other day.

Yet, Erin’s patience with him was at the brink of eruption; she thought one day he’d need a beating to learn restraint.

Morgan sulkily packed the snack boxes away, then lifted the bubble tea, saying, "Take a sip of the tea? Your lips look dry. I bought several flavors, try them all, and I’ll get the one you like next time."

Erin turned the steering wheel to the right, maintaining a stern face without responding.

Morgan inserted the straw into the cup, offering it to Erin’s mouth, "Go on, take a sip."

Erin’s almond eyes widened, scaring Morgan into withdrawing his hand.

He took a sip himself through the straw, muttering, "Aren’t all girls supposed to like snacks and bubble tea? Are you really a woman? Don’t secretly have something down there, or a gender change operation?"

"Screech——"

The ear-piercing brake sound rang out; the car abruptly stopped.

While drinking bubble tea, the straw pricked Morgan’s palate; clutching his mouth, not yet clear on the situation, he heard Erin’s icy voice say, "Get out."

"Why Erin? I was just joking, not to that extent."

Just as he finished speaking, he saw Erin herself open the door and get out.

Morgan watched Erin in disbelief, seeing her circle to the car’s front, opening the passenger door...

"Okay, Erin, I’m sorry. I’ll zip it, alright?"

Erin didn’t respond, unbuckling Morgan’s seatbelt and forcibly dragging his arm.

Morgan clutched at the seatback, "Erin, this is on a public road, and you’re in uniform. It looks bad if seen. Come on, go back, drive, aren’t you busy handling something?"

Erin ignored him, reaching to untangle his hold from the seatback.

Morgan couldn’t fathom the tricks of this slender woman; suddenly a numbing sensation in his wrist, Erin easily pried his grip off.

Next thing, he was tossed out of the car.

Seeing Morgan attempt to climb back into the car, Erin twisted his arm, pushing his body down, causing Morgan to yelp in pain.

Erin harshly told him, "If you dare harass me anymore, I’ll beat you every time we meet!"

With that, Erin strongly pushed Morgan away.

Stumbling a few steps, clutching his throbbing arm, Morgan got up to see Erin already driving away.

Morgan still shouted at the retreating car, "Remember to eat the bubble tea and snacks! That’s my heartfelt intention for you!"
