Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 858: Indistinguishable from the Real
Faye Xavier grimaced in pain and cursed Morgan Quinn, "Do you have a hole in your head?"
Morgan Quinn chuckled apologetically, "Hehe, I was just curious to try..."
Erin Yates looked at the two helplessly and said, "So curious, why don’t I find a sister who can handle it to try with you?"
"No need, if you’re doing it yourself, Erin, I might try it."
Erin Yates reached out her hand, "Then give it to me."
Morgan Quinn immediately hid the whip behind his back, "I was just joking, Erin, you took it seriously. By the way, Erin, what’s your plan now? When are you getting us out of here?"
Erin Yates: "As early as tonight, at the latest tomorrow."
Faye Xavier howled, "Please, you must come tonight, I really don’t want to drink anymore."
As Erin Yates left, she instructed the staff, "I’ll come back tonight for these two, let them rest well."
The money was paid, and the staff readily agreed, "Alright, alright, miss, take care."
After watching Erin Yates be led away by another staff member in charge of seeing guests off, this staff member then headed inside.
Seeing Faye Xavier and Morgan Quinn sitting on the bed disheveled, the marks on their bodies weren’t the worst he’d seen, but they weren’t light either.
"You two must be tired, go back to your room to rest, I’ll send some food over later."
Faye Xavier and Morgan Quinn grumbled and complained as they left the room, but their acting was convincing.
When Erin Yates returned to the police station, she immediately sought out Franklin Sutton to discuss her plan.
After hearing it, Franklin Sutton said, "Eight people is too risky, and look at these old men, they’re scruffy, which one can pass off in women’s clothing to go in with you?"
Erin Yates seemed to have a plan in mind, she grinned mischievously and said, "Blanc, he’s got a pretty face."
Franklin Sutton glanced at Lynn Bishop, who was sitting nearby organizing documents on the computer, and said, "That’s still not enough, you also mentioned the place is heavily guarded. Even if the two of you get in, you can’t act freely, and besides, we don’t know how much firepower they have. There’s also the issue of arms smuggling, they might have weapons."
Erin Yates: "My plan is to first control key positions in the bar, like the monitoring room and access control, to give us the upper hand. As for manpower, we can use those who were trafficked in there who also want to escape, they’re definitely on our side."
"That’s too risky."
Erin Yates analyzed, "But we are short on manpower right now, we can only do this. When things start, we are prepared, and they are caught off guard. When chaos breaks out, they’ll look out for their interests, thinking of fleeing with money, rather than focusing fire to confront us head-on. I think the odds are quite favorable for us."
Franklin Sutton pondered and asked, "Then it still comes back to the previous question, how are you bringing people in?"
Erin Yates: "...Your brother-in-law, with makeup and a wig, I think he can pull it off."
Franklin Sutton’s lip twitched slightly, hesitating as he said, "...I’ll call him over to discuss it."
Erin Yates nodded, standing up, "I remember that hotel has a performance troupe, I’ll go ask if I can borrow some costumes."
Shane Warner received Franklin Sutton’s call at a little after four in the afternoon.
He was with Audrey Sutton, teaching Anna to walk in the hotel corridor.
Upon seeing Shane Warner receiving the call, Audrey Sutton discreetly moved a little distance away before he answered the call.
Though she didn’t think Shane Warner was calling another woman behind her back, she was sure Shane Warner was hiding something from her.
As soon as the call connected, Franklin Sutton got straight to the point, "Come to the police station, I have something to discuss with you."
Shane Warner glanced at Audrey Sutton, who was walking not far away, holding the child’s hand but looking in his direction. He smirked at Audrey Sutton and replied on the phone, "Just talk over the phone, your sister already suspects I’m having an affair, I can’t even explain it to her."
Franklin Sutton: "It can’t be explained in just a few words, I’ll help you explain after everything is done, come quickly."
With that, Franklin Sutton hung up the phone.
Shane Warner let out a sigh while holding the phone.
He walked over to Audrey Sutton’s side and said, "The police station called again, I have to go there."
Audrey Sutton picked Anna up off the floor, looked at him skeptically, and asked, "Will you be back for dinner?"
Shane Warner nodded, "Of course, I’ll just be there for a bit and come back soon. Go inside with the kid and rest a while."
Audrey Sutton responded with an "Mm," waving Anna’s little hand, "Say goodbye to Daddy."
Anna just made a sound, reached her little hand towards Shane Warner as if wanting him to hold her.
She obviously wasn’t saying goodbye to Shane Warner, but wanting to go out and play with him.
Shane Warner pinched Anna’s cheek and said to Audrey Sutton, "I’ll be back soon."
"Mm, stay safe."
Audrey Sutton held Anna and saw Shane Warner to the elevator door. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Now that Anna could move around a bit on her own, she couldn’t stay still.
The elevator hadn’t even reached the ground floor before Anna started struggling to get off the floor.
Audrey Sutton could only put Anna down and held her as she played around.
Although Summer was a bit older than Anna, Summer wasn’t very active, she’d quietly sit if someone held her. If no one held her, she’d sit on the carpet, playing with toys obediently.
In contrast, Anna wanted to run everywhere and couldn’t sit still for a moment, making Audrey Sutton feel exhausted with child-rearing.
Laura Yates came out of the room holding a recently awoken Clary and joined Audrey Sutton in the corridor for some child-walking and chatting.
"Ding-dong——"
The elevator doors opened with a sound, and both Laura Yates and Audrey Sutton turned their heads towards the noise.
They saw a woman in a hotel uniform leading a girl in a denim jacket out of the elevator.
Both recognized her as the girl they’d seen at the front desk earlier, her denim jacket was exactly the same.
Erin Yates didn’t look around, just followed the staff, discussing borrowing outfits, "Nothing fancy, just regular skirts will do."
The staff courteously replied, "The performance costume room is ahead, I’ll take you to have a look."
"Thank you, I appreciate it."
Laura Yates watched Erin Yates’ ponytailed silhouette, a familiar scene flashing in her mind.
She suddenly remembered why this girl seemed familiar.
She stepped forward and tentatively called out to Erin Yates, "Officer Yates?"
Erin Yates stopped and looked over at Laura Yates, her face breaking into a surprised and delighted smile, "Ma’am? What are you doing here too?! Master didn’t tell me!"
