Evander Lancaster pulled his arm back again, biting his teeth with a smile, "Little girl, getting bold, huh? Keep talking nonsense and your second brother will hit you!"

Willow Lancaster suddenly turned to Evander Lancaster with a little face up, closed her eyes and said, "Go ahead, hit me, let’s see if you can bear to!"

Evander Lancaster subtly raised an eyebrow, lifted his hand, and slapped down.

With a loud "slap," the smack landed on Willow Lancaster’s mouth. It wasn’t particularly heavy, but it wasn’t light either. Although it wasn’t a direct slap to the face, it was still embarrassing with so many people watching.

With that crisp sound, all eyes turned over, including the elders at another dining table, all with expressions of surprise and confusion, not knowing what had happened.

The siblings sitting at the same table with Evander Lancaster were the same; each stopped eating, surprised to look at the two of them.

Sophia Hamilton opened her eyes wide in shock, while Evander Lancaster laughed indifferently. Meanwhile, Willow Lancaster, covering her lips with a woeful watery gaze, looked at her cousin with grievance.

As she opened her mouth, her choked voice was full of grievance, "You... you hit me..."

"Evander, what’s going on!" Violet Zimmerman spoke up with displeasure, her expression serious. Such a thing happening on a reunion day made it impossible for the family matriarch to not intervene, especially when the protagonist was her son.

Positioned across from the two, Gabriel Lancaster and his wife also had darkened expressions.

Their daughter, pampered since young, was not willing to be touched even a finger, yet was hit by her much older cousin.

Seeing everyone in the room watching him, waiting for a satisfactory explanation, Evander Lancaster leaned back lazily in his chair, speaking slowly, "Mom, that slap was me disciplining my cousin on behalf of Third Uncle and Third Aunt. Willow made an inappropriate joke in front of so many people. This is within our Lancaster Family, but if outsiders heard it and took it seriously, spreading rumors, how would all the uncles, aunts, and siblings have any face to meet others in the future?"

Already upset that his daughter was hit, now hearing his nephew speak so self-confidently, Gabriel Lancaster immediately questioned with displeasure, "What did Willow say just now?"

Willow Lancaster, pouty with grievance, averted her eyes and refused to speak. None of the other siblings at the dining table spoke up—nobody wanted to get involved in such an offending matter.

Evander Lancaster glanced at his silent siblings at the table, just about to explain, when Gabriel Lancaster’s grandson, a second grader, spoke up.

"Grandpa Third, just now Aunt Willow said she and Uncle Evander are true love, like in novels."

With the child’s words, Gabriel Lancaster and Catherine Taylor’s faces turned even gloomier. Catherine Taylor glared reproachfully at her daughter, blaming her for being disappointing, while Gabriel Lancaster, obviously angry, directed all his frustration towards his daughter.

"That was a good hit! Let’s see if you dare to speak nonsense again!"

As Gabriel Lancaster finished speaking, Evander Lancaster curled his lips smugly, turning his sly eyes to Willow Lancaster and said with a smile, "Willow, don’t blame your second brother. See, Third Uncle acknowledged I did the right thing."

Covering her mouth, glaring furiously at Evander Lancaster, her heart even more aggrieved when she met his teasing eyes, she pushed her chair back angrily and hung her head, trying to leave, but was sternly stopped by Gabriel Lancaster.

"Stop! Where are you going? You haven’t finished eating yet!"
