Chapter 1034

BAM! BOOOM!

The lightning pillar smashed Z6 out of the air and into the ground with devastating force that swiftly caused a massive hollow to yawn open with cracks snaking in different directions.

Strikes of lightning scattered in all directions which forced the others to take a step back lest they got caught in them.

They waited. Watched in tense silence if the Otherworlder would rise from the depths of the bright brilliance in the crater.

Seconds passed slowly yet nothing as the bright light was beginning to dim back down.

"Huh? Is that all? We actually finished him off just like that? Isn’t that crazy?" Lyra commented with a slight frown on her face.

Dante immediately scowled as he got down on his knees. His hands planted on the ground with his eyes closed for a few seconds.

The next second, it snapped back open the moment the bright brilliance left behind by the pillar that crashed down dimmed away.

"He’s still alive!"

"You bet yourself, I am."

The voice came from directly behind Lyra as the wind wrapped around her body fiercely allowing her to whirl around in time with a wind sword appearing in her in time.

Blocking the claws that was heading for her back earlier, she was sent sliding backward from the sudden force of the clash.

Looking up, the group could only see a slight trail of blood running down the zodiac’s lips and body.

’Impossible. How did he survive that?!’ Max shouted inwardly as he stared at the trail of blood that should have been more than that.

"Gotta hand it to you," said Z6 as he looked in Max’s direction.

"... That certainly hurt a lot and if I hadn’t acquired the durability of a mountain, my body would have shattered."

Dante cocked a brow.

"Durability of a mountain? You ate a mountain too? Does that mean your magic doesn’t apply to just any living being?"

Lyra’s brows knit.

"Which means whatever you eat, you gain their attributes. Living or not."

Z6’s grin deepened as he didn’t offer any verbal reply and instead, charged towards Leo.

The warrior had already shifted slightly already anticipating the attack that was headed his way.

Swinging his sword forward, he deflected a blow heading for his heart.

Gritting his teeth, he bound backward as the zodiac had tried swiping with his other claw.

Before he could lift his feet, the earth surged lifting upward and trapping the man down.

Z6 looked down at the binding to his feet when his head snapped upward again to see Leo had taken the opportunity to bolt at him with a straight thrust towards his chest.

Z6 grinned and lifted his claw, intercepting the strike when a frown appeared on his face as Leo’s sword suddenly lit up for a moment.

And almost immediately, a precise, half a dozen slashes as if a sword was used on him appeared on his arms that immediately oozed blood.

A confused look appeared on his face.

’How is this possible? I-I-I blocked his sword, right?’

Seeing as the warrior was gearing for another attack, Z6 quickly looked at his legs and immediately tensed his feet and with a lot of strain, he broke free from the restraints in time as another slash from Leo was rocketing his way.

Quickly trying to spring backward, the sword managed to catch him in the shoulder and almost immediately, six sword slashes appeared around that spot.

Crimson droplets burst into the air as Z6 darted away from the man.

’Is-Is it his technique?’

"Aerius Ultra!" Lyra howled as her hands were thrust forward.

A humongous gale of wind screamed outward with violent intensity smashing into the zodiac with the force of a speeding train that lifted him up and smashed him back into the earth instantly causing the terrain to buckle under his weight.

Charlotte and Sol could be seen charging towards Z7 who looked unfazed and quite unimpressed by their speed.

Gunther wasted no time in swinging his curved swords towards the zodiac who kept tilting his head around, dodging every single slash of the sword.

Simultaneously, Charlotte and Sol had already reached the zodiac quickly.

Leaping upward, a sheen could be seen appearing around Charlotte’s hands which she pointed forward.

"Water blast!"

A gigantic ball of water burst forth and hurtled towards the zodiac who quickly crossed his hands in front of his face.

Thick bones began appearing at an astonishing speed converging in front of him.

BAM—!!

The ball smashed into the bones with destructive strength that shook the ground beneath the zodiac’s feet with intensity.

However, he didn’t go flying nor didn’t go sliding for long.

The attack dissipated with the zodiac standing unfazed.

Gunther wasn’t about to let him form a counter attack as he swiftly swung his swords unleashing a cross ki slash that hurtled towards the zodiac.

Finally, the man moved.

A pair of bony swords appeared in his grip which he whipped forward smashing it into Gunther’s slash.

The attacks froze in the air for a split second before the slashes suddenly recoiled away with blazing speed until they crashed away from the zodiac therefore forming a deep groove in the earth.

A few pieces of bone fell from the swords yet, it was still in good condition.

Lifting his gaze, Sol was nowhere to be seen.

A rush of wind from behind him.

The man quickly twirled around with his hand snapping in place to parry a slash to his exposed back by Sol.

"There you are..."

The second bone sword jabbed forward with rapid velocity but Sol smiled deeply.

"... Gotcha."

The Zodiac could feel a searing heat beneath him that needed urgent attention hence he quickly looked down only to see a rune appearing beneath his feet.

’When did she...?’

A funnel of flames could be seen roaring out of their glowing depths towards his legs.
