Infinite Sharing System: Cultivating With My Sister In The Apocalypse
Chapter 83: The Meeting And The Chaos [ 7 ]
Xuan’s fist rippled with Void Qi, capable of tearing apart anything it hit.
Lin Fei laughed as his hand glowed in a much paler crimson color as he suddenly shouted:
"Spirit Severing Demonic Lightning."
Crimson lightning tore through the air like a screaming dragon, crackling with demonic Qi and hitting Xuan square on his chest.
He was momentarily dazed, and yet Lin Fei didn’t stop there as he yelled the same thing over and over again, causing the demonic lightning to continuously barrage Xuan, destroying the mountain range effortlessly and causing several avalanches to fall.
Xuan’s defenses couldn’t hold out against the lightning as each bolt seared his meridians and disrupted his Qi flow. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as his internal energy began to spiral out of control.
But Xuan soon snapped out of it and Void Stepped away. Then, right as another bolt of Demonic Lightning was about to hit him, Xuan activated the Spatial Devour skill.
A small vortex appeared in his palm, and when he raised it to meet the lightning bolt, the lightning bolt was absorbed straight into the vortex. Not only that, Xuan felt a protective layer of Void Qi envelop his body.
And so, when a stray lightning bolt hit him, he took no damage. Instead, the protective layer shattered. He went ahead and made another, then another protective layer, absorbing hundreds of lightning bolts with his vortex.
When Lin Fei realized it was useless, he let out a chuckle.
"You’re very durable, I’ll give you that much. But I’ve nearly expelled the poison from my body. You will die very soon, Xuan," he said.
Xuan rolled his eyes and slammed his hand down. In the next instant, a powerful wave of gravity collapsed onto Lin Fei, causing his eyes to widen.
"Gravity? Do you practice the Law of Space?" Lin Fei wondered, but just then, he coughed once, spitting out a mouthful of black blood. He was confused for a few seconds, but when he looked back up, he spotted Xuan staring at him with a smirk.
"Poison Qi sure is convenient, isn’t it?" Xuan whistled.
He had just used Gravity, but not only that, he infused the gravity itself with Void Qi. Because the Poison Qi Type was the one with the highest mastery, it was the most prominent. He could have used Elemental Qi, but he was afraid Lin Fei’s spiritual resistance would cancel his attack out.
And so, Xuan managed to reignite the earlier poison, just with a more severe effect.
But even with that advantage, and him lacking a real arm, he’s still very powerful. I know one wrong move would get me killed, and I don’t have any solid finisher attacks. But I must kill him. I’ve already come this far, and I don’t want him or his cult to come after me or Yuelan, Xuan thought with a resolute look, observing Lin Fei closely.
I could win hand to hand combat maybe... But that would mean I would have to get rid of his Qi. There’s no way I can do that either... So what options do I have left...?
At the same time, Lin Fei was cautiously observing Xuan, his thoughts stirring.
This kid is just like those demons from the Lower Heavens... If I get hit by another one of those poison attacks, I’m going to enter Qi deviation. But even then, he’s just a newbie cultivator, still wet behind the ears. He’s never experienced a fight on this level. I still have a trump card I can use... Lin Fei’s gaze traveled toward Yuelan, and then back to Xuan.
The two had halted their fight for only mere seconds, but a single muscle movement was enough for the fight to resume.
Xuan clapped his hands, collapsing the gravity from all sides. However, Lin Fei was ready as he countered the attack with a powerful Demonic Qi barrier. Instead of fighting, it was as if he had switched to buying time.
And when Xuan realized this, he didn’t hesitate to Void Step directly in front of Lin Fei’s face.
His Void Qi crashed against Lin Fei’s Demonic Qi as the merged Domain trembled.
But almost like Lin Fei wanted Xuan to come face to face, he began his martial arts duel. Xuan gladly accepted it, but what he didn’t expect was to be outclassed.
For every punch and kick, Lin Fei came up with the perfect counter. It reminded Xuan of the professional martial artists he had seen on television, but this was beyond that.
But Xuan wasn’t a normal fighter. He was a dirty fighter.
Kicking up dust and rubble from the ground, a few pieces got into Lin Fei’s eyes, momentarily blinding him. Xuan took advantage of that and burrowed his fist straight into Lin Fei’s abdomen.
A gasp rang out, followed by another mouthful of black blood. It was clear Lin Fei wouldn’t be able to hold out long, so why...
Why isn’t he running away? Xuan thought as the two traded blows. He can just disperse the domain and leave. Why stay when you’re on the brink of death?
His questions remained unanswered as, bit by bit, Xuan started coming out on top in every exchange. His Qi was overwhelming Lin Fei, and the poison was starting to get to him.
But that was when Xuan heard footsteps behind him, belonging to Yuelan.
"Hmm? You’re still fighting him? Want some help?" Yuelan hummed. "You know, I should’ve probably given you some fist techniques... I kinda thought you would’ve learned some in this temple."
Xuan’s brows twitched, and just as he was about to clap back at her, Lin Fei’s speed increased drastically.
Crimson lightning crackled around his body as crimson horns emerged from his forehead. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from Xuan’s sight, appearing in front of Yuelan.
Despite the sudden increase in speed, Yuelan was prepared. She raised her sword, prepared to parry whatever was coming.
But what neither of them could have expected was for Lin Fei to suddenly collapse his own domain in the palm of his hand. An immense amount of Demonic Qi gathered in his palm and then exploded outward, practically point-blank in front of Yuelan.
Xuan’s eyes were assaulted by a bright flash of crimson light, blinding him. When his vision returned, he hurriedly glanced back toward Yuelan, and to his surprise, she was the only one standing there, sword in hand.
The surroundings were fine, almost like Lin Fei hadn’t just detonated his domain.
The air felt heavy for some unknown reason. Xuan slowly walked over to Yuelan, and right as he was about to call out to her, he realized that her Qi was slightly unstable. It spiked and then lowered.
Almost like she is in a fight...?
Xuan narrowed his eyes and began trying to move her, call her name.
But all his attempts fell on deaf ears as Yuelan was currently preoccupied with something else entirely.
