Chapter 104: Unique Item! (200 Powerstone Bonus Chapter 1/2)

The effects were instant.

The egg began to tremble as the chill of essence was sucked into it, the sign of life within becoming more and more defined.

Crack!

A tiny crack chipped at the top, but Seth didn’t falter. He didn’t halt — he kept the essence flow coming.

And its presence kept growing until, like a catalyst, it didn’t even bother to draw on Seth’s essence alone anymore.

The input wasn’t enough. It began to draw from the atmosphere.

The surroundings of the egg dimmed as, like a black hole, it drew in every sliver of essence.

At this point Seth wasn’t even in control anymore, his lips curving to a frown as he felt the egg begin to draw on his essence with zero moderation.

It was stuck to his hand, feeding on his essence without his input. Naturally, this was worrying.

He didn’t want to suffer from essence exhaustion if he didn’t have to.

And fortunately he didn’t. Just when his essence was entering a dangerous single-digit range, the egg suddenly stopped.

Its body was covered with cracks, an audible heartbeat coming from within the tiny egg.

The cracks began to heave, like something beneath was pushing against them.

Seth watched with bated breath. How many times would one get to see such a rare sight — a dragon hatching?

The eggshell burst into pieces, and an infantile onyx worm wriggled out of it.

"Huh?" Seth refused to believe his eyes. This... this was a dragon?

He stared at the clueless tiny pitch-black worm as it began to feed on its shell scattered in his palm.

Looking closely, indeed he could see the hints of draconic features — its soft obsidian scales, a tiny puff of hair on its tail, and extremely thin whiskers barely visible to the eye.

It was indeed a dragon... only it was too small.

It wasn’t like Seth was expecting a child dragon to be massive, but he was expecting an Awakened-rank infantile dragon to be bigger.

How could this thing hold the power of an Awakened in its body?

He wasted no time and began to read the information of the beast.

"Definitely impressive." Seth exclaimed as he read through the skill set of his new pet companion.

"It seems it’s a parasite-type beast." Seth concluded after reading through the skills.

That explained its frail size and why it looked so delicate.

It was never meant to live on its own. He should have guessed, seeing that the name was called a Glyph Dragon.

And then there was its third ability — Dragon Manifestation. Seth’s eyes gleamed in anticipation.

To be honest, he never imagined there could ever be such a type of dragon, but this just served to widen his horizons.

Staring at the little guy paying him no heed as it ate away at its shell, Seth couldn’t try fusing with it yet until it was done.

Fortunately, he didn’t have to wait doing nothing.

What was the effect of will?

It was simple: the will attribute allowed one to influence reality and influence the world.

The higher your will stats, the more influence you could impose.

For reference, back when he fought the Charm Beast, his blade was only able to tear through its defense because of his will.

Due to his desperate will to kill, he influenced reality — imposing his will on his blade and his opponent, making its defense lower in his wake and making his blade swifter, sharper, and sturdier.
