Chapter 268: Chapter 268: Taken out

Even though only a few people knew that he was the one who supported the underworld from the shadows, he didn’t want to keep the mess anymore.

With the planet affected by the war of ancient houses, this was not only an opportunity for him to clean his hands but also to create an image of a perfect ruler who had solved a problem that had plagued this world for a long time.

At the same time, he could also get some money in his hands to afford his future plans.

"Make the deal happen, and support the person as much as possible for now. Once the time is right, we will cut him off like a rotten branch."

He sent a message to his eldest son, who was being trained by him to be the next ruler after him.

Even though he gave the other princes an impression that they still had a chance, the outcome was already set in stone.

He immediately received a reply from the eldest prince as an acknowledgement, which brought a smile to his face.

"Now, shall we focus on the bigger problem of these monsters?"

The middle aged man let out a tired sigh as he turned towards his destination, the planet of Seraphim.

....

Meanwhile, Leo had stepped out of the factory, in an extremely good mood.

He was simply planning to return to the hotel, run a simulation as the cooldown period had already passed, and just sleep in comfort.

He walked past the black market, which was just as crowded as before. The sales of illegal material was still in full swing, but Leo didn’t mind.

After all, these people were his future workers.

He only smiled as he left the market, and left.

In the distance, he saw a cab that was already waiting for him, something arranged by Silas to take him back.

A man in black walked out of the cab and opened the door for him while greeting him.

Leo gave a silent acknowledgement as he stepped inside the cab, closing the door.

Meanwhile, the vehicle rose in the air, soon disappearing into the distance.

Only a few minutes had passed before another vehicle arrived at a nearby location.

"Who is the person that the boss is sending us to escort? Why is he not here yet?"

The driver of the vehicle wondered, having only heard that he was supposed to escort a human. He hadn’t been informed about the person’s identity, but from the boss’ tone, he was certain that it must be a significant person.

Unfortunately, even after waiting for an hour, no one approached him, even as he waited outside the vehicle.

He soon called Silas, informing him that not a single person matching the description had approached him.

Silas was momentarily surprised, remembering that Leo had asked him to arrange for the vehicle. So why wasn’t he there?

"Did he change plans and left with someone else? He could’ve at least informed me."

He shook his head lightly, and told the driver to return. In his eyes, it appeared somewhat normal for Leo to not inform him even as he left. After all, he was simply a small person in the eyes of such a bigshot.

....

Unaware that he was kidnapped, Leo was sitting in the car comfortably, appreciating the surroundings scenery.

However, having seen this place on his way here, he was bored right away. After all, there truly wasn’t much worth seeing.

He soon closed his eyes and changed his plans. Instead of waiting until he returned to the hotel, he decided to run a simulation right away.

He activated the new system simulation skill, and once again, without any announcement, he entered another reality.

It still felt like a real world, again making him wonder if the skill had simply failed. But having experienced the same phenomenon in the past, he decided to believe in the skill.

"Hmm? Aren’t we taking the wrong route?"

He suddenly felt the car turn in a different direction, the map on his communicator showing that they had diverted from the route.

"Excuse me, Mister? Are you bad at directions? We are taking the wrong route."

He called out the driver, but there was no response.

"Hey, can you hear me?" Leo called out louder, but the driver still didn’t respond.

He simply raised his hand and pressed a button before him and a glass divider rose, separating the driver side from the passenger side.

It was at this point that Leo started having a bad feeling. Before he could react, he heard a clicking sound coming from the door.

He tried to open it, but the door was locked and he couldn’t do anything.

"Hey?! What are you doing? Did Silas ask you to do this? Is this an intimidation tactic?"

Leo frowned, his first thought being that Silas had agreed to him on the surface, only to backstab him later.

He accessed his storage ring, and planned to bring out his weapons.

A gun appeared in his hand, and he raised the gun in the direction of the driver.

Only then did he realize that his hands simply refused to move. No, they felt extremely heavy. He couldn’t even fire the weapon as his hand fell down on his own.

His eyes also started feeling sleepy as a heavy feeling of sleepiness washed over him.

"Why are you..." Leo weakly said, but he was unable to finish his sentence.

Meanwhile, the driver simply smirked, and said, "Easiest money I ever earned."

He brought Leo out of the lawless zone, but not to Leo’s hotel.

He went to an entirely different part of the main city, and the car landed before a luxurious residence.

A man with two antlers coming out of his head approached the vehicle, and carried Leo inside the residence.

Within half an hour, a ship rose from the helipad atop the building and went to the docking area of the city where a private ship was waiting for them.

A few hours was all it took before an unconscious Leo was taken out of the planet without getting detected.
