His Beloved Treasure - Chapter 1839 - 526: Asking Him for Help
Xiang Hang didn’t know when he had arrived. When he spoke, Qin Mu and Wang Li only then turned their heads and noticed.
Wang Li nodded when she saw Xiang Hang, but Xiang Hang only awkwardly twitched the corner of his mouth, seemingly still unused to smiling, and then nodded back, still looking every bit the serious bodyguard.
Qin Mu noticed him looking at Wang Li and remembered what he had mentioned last time. It seemed because of her father’s situation, Xiang Hang hadn’t had the chance to communicate with Wang Li: "Why don’t you two go together!"
Wang Li was taken aback, and Xiang Hang was too stunned for a moment, but quickly accepted.
Qin Mu handed Xiang Hang the keys: "Go ahead!"
Xiang Hang seemed to suddenly understand, nodded, then gently touched Wang Li’s waist, and walked ahead. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Wang Li looked at Qin Mu, confused, asking with her eyes why she had to go, but Qin Mu just smiled at her, and her legs followed Xiang Hang.
Qin Mu glanced around, then continued to stroll.
It felt a bit like aimless wandering, walking and stopping, observing the business in the shops, and the scenery of life even more.
Qin Mu’s mind occasionally wandered.
Later, she wanted to call a friend for advice, only to realize she hadn’t brought her phone or bag, so...
She returned to the shop to call Xiaomei, who delivered the phone to her half an hour later. Although it was summer and got dark only by eight, it was already eight now, and the evening breeze was wide, making her hair a little messy. Xiaomei saw her at the door, pulled the phone from her pocket: "I wanted to deliver earlier, but couldn’t find you, take a look, someone called you shortly after you left this afternoon."
"Alright! Drive safely!"
Qin Mu said.
Xiaomei nodded, then left driving Zhao Huai’s car.
Qin Mu glanced at the phone; indeed, someone had called her that afternoon—it was her mother-in-law.
Xiang Hang had already parked the car at the door for a long time, and she had only used the excuse of having something to do, hence hadn’t immediately gone home. Now, however, she couldn’t delay returning.
Qin Mu still carried her phone and got into the car, heading back to the Mu Family’s route.
That was long her home; she only had that one home.
Qin Mu didn’t know if Mu Yichen had returned yet, but she considered it inwardly, pretending to be calm.
Mu Yichen had dinner out that evening, returning by nine, coincidentally when her car arrived, knowing she intentionally returned late.
Both got out of their cars together, after Qin Mu shut her car door, she glanced at him, Mu Yichen walked towards her: "Why are you back now?"
"Phone... something came up!"
Instinctively Qin Mu wanted to explain further but found it troublesome, so she settled with a three-word reply.
Mu Yichen glanced at her, his eyes holding inexplicable complexity, refrained from questioning further, walked inside first, Qin Mu lowered her head and followed.
Mu Yichen noticed her lack of a purse; he wondered if it was forgotten or intentional.
The elders were already in the living room, with air conditioning, sipping tea, watching TV. Hearing their footsteps, none even lifted an eyelid.
"Grandpa! Mom and Dad, we’re back!"
Qin Mu habitually greeted.
"Hmm! Dinner has been saved for you two, go have some!"
Mu Zihao lightly looked up and said.
Though Qin Mu and Mu Yichen wanted to say they’d already eaten, they nodded and headed to the kitchen.
Afraid of trouble and not wanting the elders to worry.
Pretending as obedient children.
Once they washed their hands, they sat together at the dining table, sipping tasteless porridge, silently, while an aunt nearby observed, sighed helplessly, and went into the kitchen.
"About your father’s matter, there might be reports these days!"
He drank some porridge, suddenly set down the spoon, and gently spoke.
Qin Mu heard the emotionless voice, lifted her eyes momentarily, then lowered her gaze again: "Hmm!"
She knew that such matters couldn’t stay hidden for long, those above would soon adjust the situation, then publicize excuses for her father’s death.
Mu Yichen also raised his eyes at her, realizing her emotionless demeanor bothered him.
More accurately, he was anxious; he’d rather she shouted at him, even slap him a few times, than simply offer an "hmm" which was more discomforting.
"By the way! I want to buy a shop, perhaps gift it as a token for Mingzhu’s baby, might not be easy to purchase, could you help?"
Qin Mu recalled the conversation with Qin Mingzhu that afternoon, then raised her eye asking Mu Yichen.
