Chapter 2013: Chapter 1574: I’m About to Explode

Once the Ghost Stacks quiet down, they almost cease to exist. Even if Dis is watching, he couldn’t detect Anthony’s presence, but once it moves, it’s a different story.

Even a ’non-existent’ Ghost Stack, when moving, will disturb its surroundings. When a Giant God Star is watching, no disturbance can escape his gaze.

After several hours passed, Negris couldn’t help but ask, "Ange, still watching?"

"Yes," Ange replied.

"Still watching? Isn’t he tired? Won’t he maintain this until he explodes?" Negris asked anxiously.

Since they were thrown from the Double Devouring Abyss, they were now in the direction of the Information Storm’s eruption. If Dis kept watching, they wouldn’t even get close to the bodies; when the Information Storm erupted, they’d be first to bear the brunt.

After thinking for a moment, Ange said, "I’ll disrupt him."

"How will you disrupt him?" Negris asked in confusion, but Ange didn’t reply further.

A few seconds later, a strange vibration passed from behind, but Anthony only sensed it without knowing what it was.

Though unclear, given Ange’s previous remark, everyone guessed it was a Spatial Fluctuation. Was Ange referring to this kind of disruption?

Curiously, Negris asked, "Ange, Ange, what did you say to him?"

Ange’s voice rang out, "I asked if he’s going to the Land of the Infinity."

The Soul Network fell into a dead silence. After a while, Ursman exclaimed, "Such a brilliant question, probably one of the few that can disrupt Dis."

A God Star ready to self-destruct and erupt in an Information Storm in ten hours is hardly disturbed by anything. Ange’s question hit the spot, clearly understanding what matters to the God Stars.

Sure enough, Dis quickly responded. The huge Abyss in the distance swelled and contracted violently, and strong vibrations spread out.

Ange’s voice echoed, "Go, slowly."

Anthony immediately glided forward. Having been the Dark Knight Emperor, he knew very well what stealth and infiltration required. He glided forward steadily. Even with slight disturbances, the consistency usually led them to be overlooked.

Arriving at the point where the Ghost Stack was hit, he found only two large fragments and some small ones twisting and dissipating.

Anthony gathered the large fragments onto himself and continued floating forward in the same manner.

Dis seemed very agitated. The Abyss’s swelling and contracting were extremely violent, and the Spatial Fluctuation lasted for a very long time. It was unknown what he and Ange discussed.

After the prolonged Spatial Fluctuation subsided, Dis refocused on the space zone only to find the Shadow Fragments gone.

At that moment, the entire Void trembled. The massive Abyss suddenly inflated, engulfing everything.

Modric and the others had been arduously running in the Void for nineteen days since the main star’s collapse, striving day and night to escape as far as possible.

However, all the effort over these nineteen days was erased in this wave of expansion. The suddenly expanding darkness engulfed them completely, leaving no time to even shout.

Only Anthony managed to escape. Before the dark expansion reached his position, a tremendous force swept him back.

The next moment, he found himself back on Ange’s side, with the two previously collected Shadow Fragments falling out, landing next to Ange.

Anthony detached from Ange, and the others retreated back onto their Stacked Clones, gathering around.

"What happened? Why did we suddenly return?" Negris asked in confusion.

The Devouring Abyss’s expansion was too fast and vast. It was hard for those with low perceptibility to catch the whole picture. Like a snowstorm, by the time you realized the snow, it was already overhead.

Negris, Anthony, and others hadn’t noticed the darkness expanding until they were pulled back and realized the danger.

Ange described the situation, leaving Negris and others astonished: "An instant wide-scale release? Are we affected even being this far away?"

Ange nodded.

"So, Modric and his companions are all dead?" Negris asked.

Ange nodded.

"They were really unlucky, having run so far yet couldn’t escape," Anthony sighed.

"Is this the power of the Giant God Star? Even a collapsing Giant God Star can instantly wipe out our Stacked Clones with a single hit?" Negris asked.

Ange shook his head, "Being watched, no escape, death."

"Oh, the Ghost Stack just now was killed by that beam because it was being watched, right? No wonder no one pulled it back like you did. This is way more effective than Luomu Luo’er, no wonder he’s an auxiliary star," Negris jibed.

Luomu, who had been keeping a low profile, was startled, "How did this end up involving me?"

"Master, what did he say to you just now?" Anthony inquired.

Earlier, when Ange diverted Dis’s attention, Dis sent a large chunk of information using Spatial Fluctuation; Anthony couldn’t perceive space vibrations.

However, due to the proximity and the chain reactions triggered by the space vibrations, they knew Dis sent a large piece of information.

Ange stated, "He said the Ghost is here, he doesn’t want the Void Lord to get his Star Soul, so he’s giving it to me."

A long piece of information, and Ange recounted it entirely.

Everyone’s eyes widened. Negris exclaimed, "In order not to let the Void Lord get his Star Soul, he wants to give the Star Soul to you?"

Ange nodded.

"How to deliver it?" Negris asked.

They could barely comprehend the Information Storm, though accepting it as a Soul Impact made some sense. But could a Soul Impact deliver a soul, too?

Ange replied, "Hold his Imprint, in the Information Storm, collect the Star Soul, fragments."

As Ange spoke, he materialized an Imprint, which had been sent via Spatial Fluctuation by Dis earlier.

Negris was stunned, "Just transmitting the Imprint through Spatial Fluctuation? Isn’t he afraid of something intercepting his Star Soul between him and Master over these thirty-odd segments?"

Ange said, "He said to hurry."

Anthony nodded, "It’s decisive; as long as it’s fast, others can’t react in time. Even if there’s something in between, it’s hard to prepare in such a short time."

"After all, once targeted by an Exotic Ghost, sending the Star Soul out before they’re ready ensures that it won’t fall to the Exotic Ghost, no matter if intercepted by Master or anyone else. If I were him, I’d do the same."

At that moment, another wave of Space Vibration came through, apparently sent by Dis after Anthony was pulled back. His message was much shorter this time, and Ange quickly recited it: "The Ghost is still there, prepare to receive, I’m about to explode."
