Eternal Life: I Can Control My Essence Qi
Chapter 360 - 264: Earth
"The Path of the Three Spirits, so it’s like this..."
Zhang Yao held the animal skin book, a thoughtful glint flashing in his eyes.
After Wuhe’s explanation and personally perusing the "Three Spirits Sensing Technique," he finally gained a preliminary comprehensive understanding of the Path of the Three Spirits.
The so-called origin of the Three Spirits lies in "Essence, Qi, and Spirit."
The human body is a small world, the universe a large world.
Qi Refining Immortal Dao believes that the human body is ultimately limited, and only by utilizing, moving, and refining the vast power of heaven and earth for oneself can one gradually transcend the mundane, achieving the great deeds of a True Immortal Buddha Ancestor.
The Path of Zhuoxiu, however, believes that the mysteries of the human body are infinite, comparable to heaven and earth, and that one should continuously seize the power of the larger world to strengthen the smaller world within oneself.
The main means of this process is to refine the Muddy Qi and strengthen the Three Spirits, which are Essence, Qi, and Spirit.
The two paths have been diametrically opposed from the very beginning.
The Path of Zhuoxiu may not be as diverse and flourishing as the Qi Refining Immortal Dao, nor does it have the complex skills of array talismans, elixirs, and artifacts, but it has its unique advantages—complete and pure.
The Three Spirits advance together, with no weaknesses whatsoever.
"What an incredible path,"
Zhang Yao murmured to himself, waves of thoughts surging in his heart.
The "Three Spirits Sensing Valve" in his hand simply divides the Path of the Three Spirits into three major levels, as Wuhe had mentioned: ’Power Soul,’ ’Qi Soul,’ and ’Divine Soul.’
Each realm has nine levels, but even at the initial stage of developing and strengthening the Power Soul, the Qi Soul and Divine Soul also grow, although their powers cannot be utilized for the time being.
Similarly, if one advances to the highest Realm of Divine Soul, each enhancement also boosts the Power Soul and Qi Soul.
"This Path of the Three Spirits seems very powerful, but I wonder what its limits are..."
In Zhang Yao’s mind, thoughts continued to flicker.
The difference between the Path of the Three Spirits and the Qi Refining Immortal Dao lies in various aspects, one of which is the entry threshold.
There is essentially no threshold for the Path of the Three Spirits; even a three-year-old child who understands the Power Soul Forging Technique can enter, which is why he previously sensed that every member of the Wujin Tribe was extraordinarily talented.
However, though entry is easy, further advancement becomes increasingly difficult, subject to talent and other limitations.
According to the various records in the "Three Spirits Sensing Technique" and Zhang Yao’s calculations—
The First Heaven of Power Soul can rival the Perfection Level of inner or external skills in the mundane world, particularly possessing a very strong body.
The Second Heaven of Power Soul is comparable to the level of a Martial Arts Grandmaster; the Third Heaven equivalent to First Heaven of Breathing Refinement, though more inclined towards the Path of Body Refining.
Advancing step by step, each heaven brings a significant increase, all the way up to the Ninth Heaven of Power Soul, comparable to the Foundation Establishment Perfection level of a Body Refining Cultivator!
But this is still considered relatively slow progress; the Realm of Qi Soul is where the real rapid advancement occurs.
The First Heaven of Qi Soul is equivalent to an early-stage Golden Core cultivator; the Second Heaven to a middle-stage Golden Core cultivator...
Continuing in this manner, by the Fifth Heaven of Qi Soul, it would be as vast as the sea and as solid as a mountain, possessing powerful strength enough to rival a Lord Nascent Soul in the Qi Refining Immortal Dao, with the ability to transform rivers and relocate mountains.
"The Divine Soul Realm of the Path of the Three Spirits probably equates to a Divinity Transformation True Monarch of the Qi Refining Immortal Dao!"
"I wonder if there are still such formidable experts in the Wujin Tribe..."
Zhang Yao pondered silently, unable to suppress a hint of trepidation.
In the surface Cultivation Realm, Divinity Transformation True Monarchs have long since vanished and are considered legendary figures; even in the Nine Mansions of Celestial Continent, such beings might not exist.
If there are Divine Soul Realm experts in the Wujin Tribe, it would be terrifying indeed.
Observing the "Three Spirits Sensing Technique" and the complete Path of Zhuoxiu, it is certain that such beings existed in their history, but whether they still exist today is uncertain.
"Young Clan Leader Wuhe."
Zhang Yao returned to his senses, revealing a hint of apology:
"The Path of the Three Spirits is so exquisite that I became lost in it, leaving the Young Clan Leader waiting for long."
"Haha, it’s no problem."
Wuhe waved his hand and said with a smile:
"It’s rare for Mr. Qingxu to show such interest in our Path of Zhuoxiu."
"If there’s anything unclear, feel free to ask, and I may be able to provide an explanation or two."
"Oh?"
Zhang Yao responded courteously:
"Then I thank the Young Clan Leader."
In fact, he did have many questions, as he only had a preliminary comprehensive understanding of the Path of the Three Spirits, and many aspects were still unclear.
He selected four or five representative questions to ask Wuhe, who patiently answered each one without the slightest impatience.
"Young Clan Leader."
Finally, Zhang Yao couldn’t contain himself and proactively spoke:
"I have an impertinent request. I wonder if I could exchange some of the items I have for a few cultivation techniques of the Path of the Three Spirits?"
"I don’t know what your tribe wants, but whatever I have, the Young Clan Leader is free to ask."
After gaining a preliminary understanding of the Path of the Three Spirits, Zhang Yao felt quite delighted and excited.
The greatest limitation of his Path of Array Refining and Body Integration is the limited potential of the human body; the arrays it carries are all simplified miniature versions, thus their power is incomparable to true arrays.
However, the Path of the Three Spirits is quite the opposite; it adheres to the belief in unlimited human potential, capable of constantly strengthening oneself, which is a perfect fit for the Path of Array Refining and Body Integration!
Of course, this is just his initial judgment, and to truly reference the Path of the Three Spirits to lay the foundation for his own future path, there are a series of problems to solve.
