They flew back home, Amanda was quiet the entire way. Everything that has been happening was too much for her.

’ The.. they’re flying.’ the entire way she kept wondering why this was happening, she had scan forgotten all of the other strange things.

Which in fairness was understandable, Adrian had used compulsion on her the first time they met.

She couldn’t remember his face or that he had abilities let alone the fact that she was attacked by a vampire.

While the scientist did use their abilities on her, they were not flashy and it was impossible to tell unless you can sense Esper which she can’t.

So to her, this was the first time she was meeting people with super powers. They reached their destination.

She was shown to a room and told to rest, she simply nodded and did as they said. She was still trying to process everything.

Adrian went to the kitchen to get a glass of water then he froze. The grass on the pot has grown larger.

But more than that, he could feel a bit of esper inside it, it had turned into an esper grass.

It was a level 1 Esper grass of low quality but that was not important, what mattered was that it turned into esper grass in the first place.

" YES!"He was unable to hold back his excitement and shouted so loud people on the street heard him.

" Are you alright my lord?" Suzie asked but before she could react she found herself in the air.

In his excitement Adrian swung her in the air but he used too much strength and threw her across the room.

She twisted and landed in her feet unharmed. " Sorry sorry, I got too excited there for a moment."

He apologised, she fixed the wrinkles on her uniform. " It’s alright, may I ask what got you so excited?"

" Look." He showed her the esper grass, she gave it a glance then looked at him with confusion.

She had sensed this esper grass of course but it quality was so low she completely ignored it.

She wondered why something so useless could have her lord so excited, it made no sense.

" You don’t get it, this was normal grass this morning but after I watered it with my blood, it turned into this."

Finally her expression changed, she took realised the implications of his words. Her eyes immediately sparkled with coins.

She could already imagine a mountain of coins filling up the entire room. Adrian saw a side of her he had never seen before.

She started grinning and rubbing her hands together while giggling like a villain and shaking her hips with her knees together. She realised how she was acting and coughed.

" Pardon me my lord, I’ve shown you something unsightly." She apologised but realised he wasn’t paying attention.

" I wonder how many subscriptions I’ll get with this."

Her face changed and she smiled with her eyes closed, " If you post that, I’ll poison your food. "

Her voice sounded excited but her words made him freeze, he smiled like a child caught doing something naughty.

" Whatever do you mean? Post, I don’t even know how to do that ahaha." The two of them didn’t notice Sam and John standing near the door.

" Does this look normal?" John asked, he knew his girlfriend was like that around people she felt safe with.

However he did not expect Adrian to act like that, his image of Adrian was a cold leader who’s sometimes kind.

He knew Adrian can be playful at times but he didn’t expect him to act like that. Sam was different.

While he also didn’t know Adrian’s real personality since the first time they met Adrian was already a werewolf and broken.

He still mety him much earlier and back then, a lot of Adrian’s real personality was still there.

However he started changing as time passed, especially after Meggie disappeared.

Sam understood, he didn’t think he could hold on too if he went through what Adrian went through.

He was glad to see some of the real Adrian still remained in there, he hoped that side of him would not disappear.

Sam shivered when he thought of an Adrian who had lost all of his childishness, ’ I definitely don’t want to meet that guy.’

Adrian stopped laughing and his face went blank again. Sam sighed, " And he’s back, pity."

They all heard him and turned towards him, " What are you talking about?" Adrian asked while giving him a strange look.

Sam shrugged, " Nothing, don’t worry about it." Adrian shrugged and ignored him, he was thinking about his next course of action.

Suzie beat him to it, " Should I contact the witches my lord, they would know which esper plants are useful and more profitable.

I think it would be best we put out attention on those the most to maximise the gains in a short time.

They should also be the type that aren’t too dependent on their environment like needing a volcano or something."

Adrian nodded, it was good to have a smart assistant. " Do that, we’ll start planting tomorrow."

The two men were confused by their discussion so they just sat on the side and ignored them.

Adrian had planned to deal with the woman upstairs tomorrow but he changed his mind, it was best to deal with it now and be done and over with it.

He went upstairs and found her sitting on the bed awake, she jumped the moment he came in.

He could see that she was very nervous, " Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you." He tried to reassure her.

But his cold eyes made her even more terrified when she looked at him. " I’m Adrian lunar, what’s your name?"

" Am..Amanda Bakon." She answered nervously and he nodded.

" You must be confused Amanda, well me explain. A while ago you must’ve felt changed within you.

Perhaps you felt healthier and stronger or maybe your senses grew stronger, you probably don’t understand why that’s happening."

" Actually, I heard those bastards say it had something to do with some blood running in my veins whatever that means."

Adrian could hear her hatred when she spoke of the organisation scientists. ’ I wonder what they did to make her hate them so much.’
