A week went by, Adrian and Suzie had been wrecking their brains trying to think of a way to make money.

The old woman and Berry’s daughter in law came out behind them looking scared, the daughter in law was still pregnant but her belly was even larger.

As soon as Berry saw it was Adrian he calmed down, for different reasons. The boy saved his life when Maggie wanted to kill him.

Berry understood why of course, something as miraculous as this boy’s blood coming to light would bring too much trouble.

He would’ve accepted his death with honour yet this child chose to spare him, it was naive if you asked Berry but that naivety saved his life.

" What are you doing here lad? Where’s that mother of yours?" He asked as he approached Adrian’s car.

" I’m in a bit of a prickle and needed to confirm something, to be fair I already knew but seeing it is different.

So, my blood really did break the limit of your rank but your esper doesn’t feel as pure as you would expect from a higher ranking being."

Adrain sounded confused and Berry just laughed, " It seems you misunderstood how this miraculous blood of your work boy.

Adrian could see the old man was genuine. " Don’t sweat it old man, it was purely a coincidence to be fair, I didn’t even know that was possible."

Old man Berry shook his head, " It doesn’t matter, any other person would’ve killed me and my entire family to keep the secret yet you spared my life.

For that I’ll forever be grateful, if you ever need anything from me, just say it and I’ll be there."

While they were talking, the two women approached Suzie and started talking to her, they invited her inside.

Berry and his son continued chatting to Adrian, Adrian wanted to leave but they told him to stay for dinner.

He looked at his fox tail and saw it turning grey little by little, that meant it was losing power.

This tail worked like some battery, as long as he was inside Lagos, it can easily shield him without losing power.

However once he leaves Lagos, it has to rely on itself to shield him without the support of the magic formation in Lagos.

Therefore it takes much more power to hide him from the gazes of those old monsters he had never even met.

The loss of power wasn’t too fast, he still had a few hours so he agreed and they invited him inside.

They talked and ate, Berry asked about Meggie but Adrian made it clear he doesn’t want to talk about her.

He saw they misunderstood him and he explained. " Don’t worry she isn’t dead, I think.

She just chose to disappear, I don’t know where she is and I don’t care." Finally they understood and no longer brought her up.

After they were done with dinner, he chose to leave. " Thank you for the meal." He cut his wrist and poured his blood in to a cup.

This surprised the entire family because they all understood how precious his blood was.

But they were also touched at how much he trusted them. After they left Suzie looked at him.

" Are you sure that was a good idea my lord?" Adrian just shrugged, " No, but it’s what I wanted to do."

She nodded and no longer questioned him, they reached Lagos. " If I remember correctly, I also fed my blood to some human, could please look her up for me?"

’ I wonder if my blood can work on plants too, that would be great.’
