Aldrich, is a fifteen year old boy, living in a small village called Wakefield, he dreams of being a Crestmaster.

On the day Aldrich awakens his Crest, Wakefield is attacked and burned.

He is the only survivor, barely making it out with a mysterious gift, a heavy mission and dire warnings to never turn back.

He is then told to forget about what he saw and the innocent villagers that died, to never ask questions. All things Aldrich could never do.

One day he will uncover the forces behind the massacre and take his revenge. But for now he will lower his head and pretend that nothing has happened.

Henry was just a simple boy but life was never simple to him. During his early years, he had actually encountered the legendary human trafficking. As such, he was sold to a place where he was forced to workday and night.During one of the nights that he was resting after a long day of working, something astonishing happened.He was taken to a black space where time was supposedly nonexistent. After wondering aimlessly for a long time in the darkness, something finally happened.A screen suddenly appeared in front of him. The screen had a title written on it in bloody red bold, 'THE SOUL SYSTEM'.Then, a bulky amount of information was poured into his mind at that moment.The planet that he was in was going to experience an apocalypse. Magic and other things that could only be seen in fantasy were going to appear. Su Ping transmigrated to a parallel world and became the CEO of a gaming company which was on the brink of bankruptcy.

The local gaming industry was in a recession. Even though his gaming company possessed top VR technology, the management only pushed for low-quality productions. The company had yet to produce any masterpiece.

As such, Su Ping became a game designer. In order to increase the fame of his company, he thought of replicating the Resident Evil series that he experienced in his previous life. He recreated the series based on his memory and designed the Zombie Apocalypse series. Unfortunately, at this point, everyone was persuading him to switch jobs. Even his girlfriend broke up with him. Su Ping insisted on designing the game and he worked day and night.

At the same time, another company, which was a giant in the gaming industry, announced that they would also be unleashing a game about the apocalypse. The company even invested a huge sum of money for advertising.

Finally, one day, both games were released. Everyone rushed to try out Next Day Apocalypse produced by the famous company, but they left the game feeling disappointed and requested for a refund.

On the other hand, even though only less than 10 people played Su Ping’s game, they were completely immersed in the gaming experience. A streamer even praised it publicly.

Su Ping’s game gained overnight success. On the very first day it was released, it surpassed Next Day Apocalypse, which had spent millions in advertising, in terms of sales.

Players were drawn to Su Ping’s game due to the mysterious and dangerous virus T, the unpredictable monsters and the nerve-wrecking plot. Countless people were scared witless.

When the valiant Alice was introduced in the game, all players went crazy in excitement. Her performance in the game made her the first virtual idol to have fans worldwide.

When everyone believed that this would become a classic of a generation and that it was impossible for anything else to surpass it, Su Ping released Silent Hill, Dino Crisis, Aliens and other series.

What was originally an ordinary day, suddenly became a historical turning point. Enormous, mysterious Cubes appeared all over the world without warning and as if Judgement Day’s spears, inserted themselves into the blue planet.

From inside the enormous Cubes, endless streams of monsters gushed out alike raging tides, utterly defeating the unguarded armies of each state in the blink of an eye.

In order for humanity to preserve its final embers, the heads of states issued orders of retreat, to no longer attack the Cubes but rather to cling to remote cities, which they turned into self-sufficient survivor bases and around which they built 100-meter-tall Walls of Life!

Many years later, while bearing the heavy weight of history, the first expeditionary force brought back a world changing piece of information. The Cubes possessed exceedingly high intelligence and they regularly transmitted mission instructions to humans nearby. The mission rewards were incredible.

Since then, humans rushed out of the confines of the walls and once more set foot on the wasteland!
