Earth was now full of mutants, and soon enough, non-mutants became outcasts in the society. The system only favoured the powerful and scorned the weak. And that was when Leo woke from his coma of 78 years on planet Luxus.And this, guys, is where the story starts...Leo managed to survive the nuclear attack with some strange hidden quirk he didn't know he possessed. When he opened his eyes 78 years later, he was on planet Luxus, being taken care of by his mind communication partner, Loca. But there was no time to frolic. He has to get back to Earth and try to rediscover that powerful quirk that saved him from the nuclear attack. To do this, he must attend Earth's quirk academy to learn all he needs to get stronger. I read a few comments from Chinese readers that compared this novel with Lord of Mysteries because of similar elements: Lovecraftian, western fantasy, first industrial revolution, and steampunk. However, I have yet to finish reading Lord of Mysteries to do any actual comparison, but I do think those who have enjoyed that novel would enjoy this as well. Also, the author of LotM, Cuttlefish That Loves Diving, also did a shout-out for this novel, so I guess he approves of it too?
