Chapter 1 – 8 of the novel is essentially just a prologue of the novel and it does not impact it too much, so you can skip it if you’re averse to things like torture or anything that could induce negativity.

Then again, I am not saying that chapter 1 to chapter 8 are less important but some readers might not like it as I’ve discovered. So I thought about putting it here just in case.

But if you don’t mind checking it out, then go ahead and read from chapter 1 at your own risk.

He's logical when it comes to making future plans but he'll lose control if his girls are in danger. He has a trauma and you might guess it in the first chapter and due to this, he doesn't like losing control of situations. The more in control he is, the safer he feels. This changes as he gets close to the girls, learns more about them and trusts them.He is someone who climbed the corporate ladder by suppressing his pride, goals, feelings and putting on layers of masks to please others. And when he takes it off and tries to be normal in his second life, he's overly blunt to the point of not feeling any shame when talking about the most embarrassing topics.------I hope you will all like it!

Skyler's story was typical. He was publicly labeled a waste with no future as a Light — awakened individuals capable of wielding elemental powers. He thought that would be the end of it.
