In her last life, Yu Lingxi fell from a myriad of stars that surrounded the moon into the dust, and was forced to sacrifice herself to the regent, Ning Yin.

The regent was born handsome and beautiful, but unfortunately he has a crippled leg. He was a twisted and cruel madman who killed his brothers and father.

What Yu Lingxi was most afraid of was that while wiping the fresh blood on his hands, he smiled and said to her: “Lingxi, come here.”

After only two years of marriage, Yu Lingxi passed away suddenly.

After her death, Ning Yin did not set up a mourning hall, did not make funeral arrangements and buried her, and became even more insane, slaughtering the city with blood.

She stared him straight in the eyes and asked “But as blissful as that sounds, why do I still feel guilty?”

Her voice broke and tears began to slide down her face.

“W-why do I feel bothered? Why does my heart feel guilty when in fact I'm following it? why does everything seem so complicated with you? Why do I feel for you when I've already been destined for someone else? ”

Asher clutched his fist, trying so hard to contain his emotions that were threatening to surface but the girl's words were tearing his heart out

The tears continued to trickle down her cheeks “What is wrong with me ? ” she asked exasperated, and began to wipe her face with her palm obsessively.

At her sixth wipe, Asher stopped her and drew her towards him, staring at her with this odd gleam in his eyes.

His cold, smooth hands cupped her cheek and rubbed away a hot tear with his thumb.

“Nothing is wrong with you” He assured her, his thumb caressing her cheek while his eyes fixed on her's intent.

He was just conflicted, was it right to confess the truth to her now? All this time, he's been careful, what would happen if he becomes careless for once?

Maybe it's time to become selfish after all.

The Yalhvi people taught the humans a lot about their research, and how they obtained superpower-like abilities.

Soon the entire Human population was also enjoying the fruits of the Yalhvi Research and knowledge and almost everyone started awakening supernatural abilities.

It can be said that the Earth is filled with opportunity, and wonder but it is quite the opposite.

The influx of one's power lead to bring about a hierarchy system where the one with power has all the say while powerless beings are meant to keep quiet.

This lead to many wars which almost lead to the extinction of the human race, but during the climax of the war; ten brave warriors took a stand and resolved the war.

“We welcome this brand new year with the hope to bring a great change, and to continue progressing forward! Happy New Year 3100, Everyone!” The holographic image of a female spokesperson sounded from every tall skyscraper in Emerald City.

As the artificial fireworks sounded, a boy walking down an alley grunted.

“Humph! A happy new year for the people who have power and money, but it's the same situation for us.” Mako voiced his internal dissatisfaction while continuing to head to his destination.

Only Destiny knew what this year had in store for Mako...
