MTL - Record of the Missing Sect Master - Chapter 4

In a monstrous post-apocalyptic setting, this is a story of how a lowly Inventor, Lance, conquered a nation governed by immoral group of Scientists called The Corporation. He grew and climbed up to the highest rank possible as a Scientist with his inventions and side businesses. Eventually, he became a weapons inventor, building weapons to two opposing sides. In doing so, Lance always crossed a dilemma. How could a nobody topple the most powerful government? How could one overcome circumstances beyond his grasp, especially in a world filled with monstrous mutations called the Abominants?

The beginning of the apocalypse brought chaos and disaster to humanity. It tore away the mask of society and revealed the cruelty hiding beneath.Ivy Ravencroft experienced it all firsthand. Her family was unfair and cruel, and they abused her so badly that she went blind. Her lover died trying to protect her, and she spent the next five years struggling to survive—until she finally died in the apocalypse.But then, Ivy woke up again—reborn in the first year of the apocalypse. At first, she felt hopeless. If only she had returned to a time before the apocalypse, she could have gathered food, weapons, and supplies to survive better.Still, she was grateful for one thing: she had kept her special ability—the power to create safe zones. This time, Ivy made a promise. She would protect her lover, find her real family, and take revenge on everyone who had hurt her...................................“Huh? Why is there a bento box lying here?” Ivy asked, confused.“What bento? Are you trying to trick me again?” Silas asked, sadness in his eyes.“This one!” Ivy said, holding up the packaged meal and waving it at him.“What the—where did that come from?” Silas stared at it in shock.Ivy’s eyes widened. She realized something—only she could see these items, and when she picked them up, they became real.“Can… I buy it from you?” Silas asked, unsure.“Of course. But I won't give it to you for free.” Ivy smiled like a fox.Silas closed his eyes; he was ready for her to demand something sky-high and said,“Okay. Tell me how many gold bars you want.”Ivy smiled and teased, “I don't want gold bars; they are way too cheap. I want one kiss.”Silas: Blushing hard.His subordinates: “...” This wave of dog food was too unexpected!.......................................................With the supplies, picking a superpower and a safe zone superpower, Ivy built her own residential area.She gained Kindness Energy and multiplied supplies with the help of Temporal Storage.

One day in the faraway Blue Boorish Mountain inexplicably appeared groups of scoundrels who came to reside there. It was said that those scoundrels came from the You Kingdom, Yen Kingdom and many others due to their failures in battle. And due to its dangerous terrain, no one had dared to conquer the Blue Boorish Mountain. As a result, this place obviously became a paradise to the scoundrel and thieves. They resided there and ruled the place.

They had also built up the Illusory Perennial Domicile, which meant a place that was their lifetime home. There was a group of scoundrels who had appointed themselves the Great Nine Bandits, and they were seen as the best baddies in the area. They built up a school in which the children of the Illusory Perennial Domicile would come and study only survival skills.

In such a small place appeared an orphan student named An Zheng who also came to study there. He was really a useless orphan in the people’s eyes due to his cowardice. They even said that he was a chicken who did not dare to do anything for himself even in fighting for himself, and no one cared about such a coward except a ten-year-old child, Du ShouShou, his only friend. As a result, he was the center for such baddies to cause trouble.

However, no one knew that orphan An Zheng would change his life forever as he went to a dead end.How powerful was that orphan? How much effort did An Zheng have to make in order to satisfy his passions of the devilish elimination? How would the life of his friend, Du ShouShou change after his after death spawn? And might the Great Nine Bandits be the invincible ones? Was he good or evil? Was his power strong or weak?

Was his world in perfect order or chaos? They were all questions that the little child An Zheng needed to discover during his journey.“Bring happiness to loyal people but chide the evil. However, if the treatment goes wrong, law will become a tool for the evil to force the good, preventing executors. Find a repugnant gateway to pass. Great things win cruel tricks. We learn from the idea of God but we reject the power of Him.”

A conversation with a handsome stranger leaves Ariane chained in a cellar with a strange affliction. She soon discovers that the darkness of the nineteenth century’s Deep South hides many dangers. Mages, wolf shifters and the humans who hunt them play a risky game where to stumble is to die, all under the amused gaze of the apex predators of the supernatural world: vampires.

It is never healthy to attract the gaze of the aristocracy of the night. It takes much to survive in this merciless world, but Ariane will not let that deter her. The southern belle has a bite, and she is willing to learn and to grow in this hostile new world. She will use whatever means necessary to reclaim her freedom, be it guile, charm, or those intriguing new instincts that make blood so delectable.

This is a story of vampires as I believe they should be, with their strengths and weaknesses, with their remnants of humanity and the beast inside. Updates every Friday. Mind the tags.
