Devourer - Chapter 6: The Council of Lords

I used to think that my stealing skill only worked on what was worthless to a person.But just before I died, I realized that I could also steal the skills.So I stole the regression.

There was war in hell. The flames of hell turned against itself and the demons tore each other apart. It was a terror to behold; one that the devil himself could not escape. Every other terrestrial being was against him, trying to take his power and throne.Knowing that he wouldn’t survive it, Lucifer fled from hell into the earth feeling regretful. His fall came from a woman whom he thought he had grown to love. But at that point, it all didn’t matter….he needed someone to will his power to…it was much better than leaving it in the possession of those demons. He was a devil, but he ruled on earth…unstoppable and strong willed. He was hardly referred to by his name and was mostly called the devil, right from when he was a child after a powerful seer revealed the reason behind his power.But even though Francis had all the power he wanted and would ever need, he had one restriction. Even her mother the queen couldn’t save her because she was very much afraid of her husband, the king and his second wife who bore him sons.They lived their lives in fear, not until one day, the queen was about to take her last breathe. She was poisoned by the king’s wicked wife. But before she died, she had just one wish: that her daughter Aurora avenges her death and take over the village by attaining a level of power and authority that could only come through one means….and it is to “Marry the devil” the strongest, ruthless, merciless and powerful king that lived.She knew she needed him to love her if she ever wanted to access his powers and make him revenge for her.And so, Princess Aurora was set on a journey to marry the devil who was warned to never love a woman.What happens when the devil falls in love?Would he receive the same fate as the previous Devil?Or will love change his fate?Will Aurora's determination lead her to a world of power, love and strength?Or will the devil's fate cause her a life time of peril and pain?

Being the daughter of the home wrecking mistress was bad enough; but when your own mother also detested you and actually loved your step sister while treating you like an abomination, that had to be the worse thing in life.As if things are not bad enough, her wedding day is hijacked and the Prince Charming she thought would be hers forever betrays her to be with her own sister and she realizes that they had been laughing in her face all this while.Distraught and heart broken, she does the next best thing, gets drunk at a bar then wakes up the next morning in a man’s hotel room and with a cheap wedding ring on her finger then she flees in fear.Unfortunately for her, that night won’t just go away and she finds that her groom actually wants her and wait for it… he is her ex’s father.“You went into a hotel and spent the night with a strange man, do you deny it?”“why should she deny it when she spent the night with her husband?” a steely voice said while his eyes looked down at Lyse with all the affection in the world then he turned to Brooke, his eyes losing their softness.“Do you have a problem with what my wife and I do?”

It is said that you shouldn't meet your heroes. Gehaldirah, a high elf of royal bloodline didn't have to meet the realm lord of High Heaven before he became disillusioned.

His admiration for the paragon of the high elf race turned into hatred when he got some damning knowledge about why demons kept attacking his home and looting the sacred tree of life. His hatred for the realm lord turned to self-hatred for his weakness and mediocrity.

Gehaldirah had a moment of introspection. He isn't at the bottom of the ladder in this strength-based hierarchy. He is a king of law, but that apparently isn't enough to guarantee your fate. His strength is also mediocre because it was granted to him because of his bloodline.

He determined he had to change himself. He has to become better. He concocted a plan that is one part genius and one part greed. His plan for reincarnation led him to the trial of heaven that occurs every origin cycle. He needed Origin essence so he participated in the trial.

He got more than he wanted from the trial. His plan for reincarnation would be a success after some adjustments. But now he has a different aim. He won't aim for just the realm lord. The realm lord has control of the High Heaven Realm. That isn't enough for Geraldirah anymore.

He became greedier. He has his sight set on the movers and shakers of the Void Universe. Only the power to subvert the will of World Gods will do. The plan to create LEGION, the ultimate organism was then hatched. If one person cannot achieve something, what about a multitude of them?

His journey will not be easy. He will have to overcome Celestials and their Celestial Supreme, Gods and their GodKings, Demon kings and their Demon gods. The Void Universe is full of obstacles that will like nothing more than to put an end to his path. It is not that they hate him. They will oppose him simply because the era of conquest is coming. There are no friends in the era of conquest. It is everyone for themselves.
