"Really? Can I first ask what exactly he complimented me on?" Jane Sampson asked with a smile.

"He said you’re very good-looking and interesting, and that his comrades in arms all really like you." The director wasn’t exaggerating, these were indeed the words of the black-face instructor.

During training, the instructor seemed quite stern and merciless, but in his private life, he was quite an agreeable person.

"Then when I see the instructor tomorrow, I must thank him properly." Jane Sampson giggled lightly, "I thought he would speak ill of me, especially since I played a trick on him this morning."

However, it seemed that the instructor didn’t take it to heart at all.

"When we were trained to the point of exhaustion, of course, we had a ton of complaints, but once it was over, those complaints faded away too," Jane answered honestly, "If it weren’t for participating in this show, probably we’d never have the chance to experience the life of the guard team soldiers so intimately. Honestly, it’s very tough, tougher than we originally imagined."

Even though Jane Sampson had been exposed to defenders from an early age, with defenders in the house and having married one, if it weren’t for this personal experience these past few days, Jane would never have known how James Black and Peter Gingery spent their 24 hours each day in the guard team.

Some lives, just by watching TV or hearing speeches, we could never really understand where the word "tough" applies until we truly step into that life and realize what "tough" really means.

"I think, after these few days, I should have even more respect and admiration for these defenders. The feeling of security our country gives us is also given by them. Anyone who wears the team uniform is definitely the most respectable person in the world," Jane’s emotions calmed down a bit as she spoke.

At that point, she was silent for a few seconds before looking up at the smiling director opposite her and asked, "Will the segment from yesterday morning be broadcast?" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"If there are no accidents, it will be," the director nodded. Yesterday morning’s segment was very interesting, and also, that person wasn’t captured in it.

"Isn’t that the same as me calling someone ugly in front of the entire national audience?" Jane Sampson placed a hand on her forehead, "I need to clarify here that the ’world’s ugliest person’ I mentioned isn’t ugly at all. On the contrary, he’s very handsome, really.
