CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 519 - 527: No Need to Speak Up
For a while, Jane Sampson suddenly sighed, then switched to supporting her chin with the other hand, and continued to stare at James Black.
Still not getting a response from the person across her, Jane Sampson sighed again and kicked the man opposite her with her foot, not too hard, but at least it made James Black look up at her again.
"Speak," James Black said curtly, tossing out one word.
That kind of hesitating demeanor really didn’t suit Jane Sampson.
"Our plan for this week..."
Jane Sampson hadn’t finished her sentence when James Black replied, "I don’t have it here."
Jane Sampson pursed her lips, "Then I’ll make another request."
"Don’t bother," James Black said, and immediately turned his chair to have his back to Jane Sampson.
Looking at the back of someone’s head, Jane Sampson blinked, puzzled. This guy wasn’t following the script again.
That was maddening! 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"James Black!" Jane Sampson stood up and walked out, standing in front of James Black, stubbornly turning his chair back around to face her, "Can’t you let me finish my sentence?"
"I’ve guessed and already know it’s not the answer you want. It saves you the effort, doesn’t it?" James Black finally deigned to place the documents in his hand on the tabletop, comfortably leaning on the chair armrests with both hands.
Seeing Jane Sampson cut off with a very dissatisfied manner, James Black chuckled, "You want me to check out your schedule for the week and give you a heads-up, right?"
Jane Sampson’s haughty expression instantly fell apart.
This guy, not seen for half a month, had he mastered mind reading?
Such a direct rejection, was she supposed to not care about her face?
Jane Sampson’s gaze drifted from James Black’s face, guiltily moved to the window behind him. After a few seconds of silence, she said in a low voice, "I’m not the kind of person who likes to pull strings."
"You are," James Black retorted.
She must be temporarily deaf, Jane Sampson thought, because she couldn’t hear.
"All I’m saying is, when I come over tomorrow night, can you add some beef and green vegetables to your noodle soup?" Jane Sampson nodded, shifting her gaze back to James Black’s face, "That’s all, just that simple!"
The ability to speak nonsense with a straight face seemed to have improved.
James Black stood up, turned around, walked behind Jane Sampson, then pressed her back into the chair, "Sit down, don’t move; I’m going to boil water for your milk."
"Can’t sit still," Jane Sampson blurted out three words, then scurried after James Black out of the study, and scurried after him into the small kitchen.
"Why do you have milk powder in your dormitory? Chief Black, do you also drink milk? Is it because you drink milk powder every day that you’ve grown so tall? Is it because you drink milk powder every day that you’ve become so strong?"
Jane Sampson leaned on the kitchen counter, watching James Black boil water, her gaze landed on the canister of milk powder he had taken from the cabinet, she chuckled, and cozied up next to James Black, asking with clear ill intention.
"Jane Sampson, shut up," James Black’s temple throbbed visibly, he held back for a long time before he refrained from throwing Jane Sampson out of the kitchen.
"Wow, it’s still unopened, brand new, huh?" Jane Sampson commented as if she had discovered a new world.
After James Black plugged in the electric kettle and pressed it down, he turned around, without a word, picked up the noisy woman by his side, carried her back to the bedroom, placed her on the bed, then turned and walked out, and after leaving, he even closed the bedroom door, went into the kitchen, and closed the kitchen door as well.
