CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 518 - 526: Disagreement (Seeking Votes)
"James Black! You freak!"
Jane Sampson, as if she had gotten hold of something terrifying, her hand trembled, and the book thudded to the ground.
Jane thought, she should have smashed the book right onto the freak’s face, James Black!
This guy!
This guy actually had a book about villains fighting stored away in the study!
And such a book, at first glance, the title even seemed so refined; where did he find such an ancient tome?
The people depicted in it were all from ancient times!
Hearing her words, James Black lifted his head from the documents and looked towards the woman who was inexplicably throwing stuff around and getting furious. Meeting Jane’s angry gaze, he then stood up and walked from behind the desk.
One step, two steps, he walked towards Jane and then stopped in front of her, looking down his gaze landing on the book she had thrown on the ground.
James Black’s expression changed slightly.
But it was just that—a slight change.
"Don’t look at it if you don’t want to, but don’t throw it around carelessly." James Black bent down to pick up the book, his tone carried a sense of great care, he even smoothed the cover of the book and then placed it back where it originally was.
"You pervert!" Jane’s ears turned red, and just thinking about opening the book and seeing its content made her face become so red that it nearly dripped with blood!
"I disagree with that accusation," James Black said after putting the book away, turned around to face Jane. Seeing her flushed face amused him, so he reached out and pinched her ear.
Indeed, even her ears were hot to the touch.
"Whatever it is, be it the natural actions between husband and wife, there’s no harm in learning. You said my technique was bad, so I diligently studied. It seems, you’re the beneficiary as well." James Black raised his eyebrows.
"Ptui, ptui, ptui! You big perv!" Jane stepped back, letting go of James’s hand, then cupped her burning ears, unable to even let her gaze drift towards James’s face.
Curse her spiteful hand! Why, with so many books on the bookshelf, did she have to choose this one!
Cursed hand!
Cursed hand!
Chop it off! She, Jane Sampson, didn’t want this hand anymore!
"Are you saying I haven’t made any progress?" James Black bent slightly, lifting Jane’s face with his hand to meet his gaze, "Hmm?"
A single hum expressed indescribable confidence.
Jane blinked, and her face reddened even further.
"So, you’re the one who benefited and now acts coy?" James Black flicked Jane’s forehead with his index finger.
Jane swallowed.
Forget it, better to deal with James, whose thick skin not even a missile could pierce.
So, since the last time she boldly told him his technique was poor, he said he had good learning ability. Then after they had split, he indeed devoted himself to improving with his own methods?
Jane thought about it, and yeah, it figures.
His progress had been rapid...
"All right, sit over there, I’ll find a book for you," James Black said, leading the person still wearing an indescribable expression to where he was sitting before, then he took a foreign detective novel from the bookshelf beside him and threw it to Jane, "Get some brain exercise."
"More like mind-burning," Jane muttered, pressing the book under her arm. Watching James sit down opposite her and continue to flip through the documents in his hands, Jane didn’t look at the book anymore; instead, she fixed her gaze on James.
Her gaze was unguarded, and James knew she was watching him. So after glancing at her briefly, he lowered his head to continue his work, allowing Jane to keep staring.
