CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 505 - 513: Wife Jane
Never mind how troublesome it would be to remove makeup after arriving, doing a before-and-after makeup comparison under a high-definition camera is just asking for trouble. Even if you look decent without makeup, after seeing the makeup, the difference becomes pretty obvious.
But she arrived bare-faced, and when she appeared on camera, she was still without makeup, leaving no room for comparison, so in a way, she was lucky.
Among the girls, even Hibiscus Wood, who had the lightest touch with makeup, could be seen to have a thin layer of foundation on.
So sometimes, loving to sleep in isn’t entirely a bad thing.
Jane Sampson mused to herself secretly.
For the sake of fairness, even those who appeared to be not wearing makeup had to apply makeup remover to their faces, rub it in, and wash their faces once, because some people are so skilled with makeup that they look the same with or without it.
Jane Sampson briskly wiped her face, and after washing, she called out, "Report, I’m done."
Captain Johnson nodded, then gave Jane Sampson a look that signaled her to enter the base.
With Jane Sampson leading the way, the rest learned by example. Without needing Lieutenant Johnson to say a word, they all started their greeting with a "report," amusing the Captain Johnson to think highly of these newcomers.
As soon as Jane Sampson and Helen Watson walked in, the teammates who were stealthily looking down from upstairs saw Jane Sampson getting closer to them and went crazy.
"Goddess Sampson! Goddess Sampson!"
Hearing someone from the building next to her calling her, Jane Sampson turned and looked towards the inside of the building, then smiled and waved at her teammates upstairs.
"Aoo, aoo, aoo!"
With Jane Sampson’s response, the people over there grew even more frantic.
Helen Watson also couldn’t help but look toward the guards over there, and she noticed that Jane Sampson seemed to be exceptionally popular among them. Even when Hibiscus Wood arrived, it hadn’t been quite as lively as this.
Jane Sampson greeted for a while, didn’t see that rascal Peter Gingery in the crowd, and then slowly withdrew her hand and focused on walking.
But before she could even fully retract her hand, suddenly a chorus of voices came from over there.
"Wife! Wife Jane!"
Jane Sampson nearly lost her footing and almost fell to the ground. Thankfully, Helen Watson quickly steadied her, preventing her from being so startled by the calls of "wife, wife Jane" that she would fall flat on her face.
"Will this part also be broadcast eventually?" Jane Sampson turned her head and asked Helen Watson quietly.
"It probably will." As long as the program’s effect is achieved without impacting the image of the base, the director will surely include it in the broadcast.
Jane Sampson held her forehead, turned to look at the excited faces over there, and began to worry for them.
When the program is broadcast and James Black sees this scene, will these guys still be able to smile so happily then?
Jane Sampson silently mourned for the bunch of adorable little teammates in her heart for a few seconds, hoping that James Black wouldn’t be in the mood to watch the show.
Jane Sampson followed Helen Watson into the dormitory arranged for them by the base. It was a four-person room, with each girl sharing one room and having one bed each. The room was spacious enough, very clean, and well-lit.
"Does it give you a sense of boarding at university?" Helen Watson asked Jane Sampson with a smile, "One bed per person, one table, and one wardrobe each. After you unpack your stuff, you can put the empty suitcase under the bed so it’s out of the way."
"Ok, I can handle these things myself; you probably have your own stuff to take care of. Just go do what you need to," Jane Sampson turned and told Helen Watson.
