CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 504 - 512: Removing Makeup on Scene
Jane Sampson opened her suitcase, looked at the stuff inside with a bitter face, raised her hand slightly, and said softly, "Report!"
Lieutenant Johnson’s eyes narrowed, "Speak."
"Can I bring food?" Jane Sampson asked with little confidence.
In contrast to everyone else’s luggage, as soon as Jane Sampson’s suitcase opened, half of it was filled with food: small bread, small cookies, potato chips, and other snacks claimed half of her suitcase’s real estate.
The person next to her heard Jane Sampson’s question and turned to look at her suitcase; even the film crew personnel next to them burst into laughter.
"Didn’t realize Jane Sampson was so thin, yet such a foodie," Alexander SkyShaw teased.
Jane scratched her head. When packing her suitcase, besides clothes and shoes, she was concerned about staying with the guard team for a week, undergoing intense training, and getting hungry quickly.
After all, it was not without experience; when she was at her naughtiest as a child, Grandpa Sampton took her to train with the guard team for a few days. During those days, she had only one thought: hungry, so hungry.
Perhaps that’s why whenever she heard anything about training at the guard team, Jane Sampson’s automatic response was, well, she’d get hungry.
Even Lieutenant Johnson hesitated, glanced at the chief’s wife’s suitcase, and indeed, it was all food: two casual outfits, two pairs of sport shoes, a small dark bag with unseen contents likely to be private stuff, and then a not-so-large clear makeup bag.
Lieutenant Johnson looked up at the chief’s wife’s pitiful expression and almost blurted out that she could bring it, but fortunately, he slammed on the brakes in time.
"Ahem, you can’t bring it," Lieutenant Johnson declared.
As soon as Lieutenant Johnson spoke, Helen Watson quickly transferred all the snacks from Jane Sampson’s suitcase into the nearby storage box, watching Jane’s sad eyes follow her movements, making Helen feel almost like a cruel executioner.
Beautiful people sure make every expression beautiful.
This was the soldiers’ collective thought at the moment; they really wanted to buy Goddess Sampton many, many tasty treats!
"Once the show is over, I’ll give it back to you," Helen Watson said after packing up, patting the box and then Jane Sampson.
Jane Sampson shook her head, "You guys eat."
After one week, when the first period of recording was over, she could go and buy even more.
Damn! She must make Peter Gingery, that damn kid, pay! Make his wallet bleed!
"Now for the second matter." Once Lieutenant Johnson confirmed that no one’s suitcase had anything prohibited, he called someone over, and eight soldiers came over with eight basins of clear water.
"Remove makeup on the spot. Whoever finishes cleaning off their makeup on their faces first, gets to head to the dormitory first," Lieutenant Johnson said, moving his hand behind him.
This wasn’t something he and the Chief had planned, but rather the film crew forcefully arranged it for the sake of the show.
Watching people with makeup on showing different expressions, Lieutenant Johnson could only offer his silent condolences for them in his heart.
Charlotte Miller was close to crying upon hearing about on-site makeup removal. Even Alexander SkyShaw was slightly shocked; it seemed he was the only boy who had put on some makeup.
It could be said that makeup is like crafting a second face for a person. Jane Sampson looked around at the others and could only say that this on-site makeup removal arrangement was really ruthless.
Jane Sampson muttered to herself, relieved that she had slept in that morning and hadn’t had time to put on makeup.
