"Just a minor cold, exercise a bit, sweat it out, and it’ll be fine." James Black held Jane Sampson’s hand, "Don’t touch recklessly, once you ignite the fire, you’ll have to extinguish it yourself."

"Sleep! Sleep!" Jane Sampson wrapped herself in the quilt, closed her eyes instantly, and calmed down immediately.

Seeing James Black looking rather well, Jane Sampson peered out and scrutinized him curiously, "Do you men try to replenish yourselves when doing such things?"

James Black gave Jane Sampson a sideways glance, "Not sleepy yet?"

"Ah~ Sleepy, sleepy." The curious little Jane truly closed her eyes this time.

The next morning, Jane Sampson slept until she naturally woke up.

She woke up to find James Black rarely still next to her, but he had been awake for a while, leisurely flipping through a book resting over there.

"Why not head to the study?" Jane Sampson rubbed her eyes.

"Did I wake you?" James Black casually placed the book aside and asked softly.

After a night of rest, his cold had recovered, and his voice was entirely back to normal.

"No, I woke up on my own." Jane Sampson turned to look at the time, surprised that she had slept until nine o’clock. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Coco should be here soon, my goodness, why didn’t you wake me up earlier? She’ll be bringing clothes over soon, and I need to put on makeup and change, then head to the conference venue." Jane Sampson muttered while swiftly flipping out of bed, slipping her slippers on and running straight to the bathroom.

Downstairs, Coco Edwards and the two makeup artists were just led in by Aunt.

As they entered, carrying two formal dresses, both neatly pressed.

"Jane may not be awake yet; I’ll go call her" Aunt poured tea for Coco Edwards and the others before heading upstairs.

Jane Sampson was still washing her face, James Black went to open the door.

"She’s washing her face," James Black glanced inside, "Let Coco Edwards and the others wait downstairs for a bit."

Aunt nodded with a smile and went downstairs.

Old Master Black wasn’t home, and with James Black back, Old Master Black went out more often.

Without worries, Old Sir would head out to find old friends whenever he was free.

Before James Black returned, Old Sir worried Jane would feel lonely alone in the house, so he rarely went out. Although Jane showed no signs of being scared or anxious from the kidnapping incident during this time, inside, Old Sir still felt concerned.

With James Black back, and seeing Jane still playing around with James yesterday in the afternoon, Old Sir completely relaxed.

His little Jane, though seemingly delicate, was truly resilient, unaffected by small troubles or difficulties.

"Could she have just woken up?" Coco Edwards heard Aunt came down alone, unable to hide the discontent in her tone.

"Pretty much." Aunt knew Coco Edwards had a good relationship with Jane Sampson, so she didn’t find Coco’s tone inappropriate, responding with a smile.

Jane Sampson used the fastest speed, but it still took her about five minutes later before she got downstairs.

Downstairs, the two makeup artists who came along with Coco Edwards turned their heads upon hearing footsteps on the staircase.

When they saw who it was coming downstairs, they were totally stunned, standing there dumbfounded for a long time.

Both knew Coco Edwards was Jane Sampson’s assistant, but everyone knew Jane had encountered something unfortunate, so following Coco Edwards, they figured she was arranged by the company to assist other artists.

Never did they expect to suddenly see Jane Sampson, who was supposedly gone!
