"I’m here to see you siblings and also to discuss something with Jane." Mother Carter smiled at her son and then took Jane Sampson’s hand, saying, "Your dad and I have discussed and decided to redo the room next to your brother’s bedroom to be your room. What do you think?"

"My room?" Jane Sampson smiled, nodding repeatedly, "Being right next to Brother, huh? Sounds great! When I was little, I was also next to Peter Gingery’s room at the Black Residence. Sometimes at night, I couldn’t sleep, and I would wake him up to chat with me by the window!"

Therefore, James Carter never really blamed Jillian for doing something as extreme as slashing her wrists.
