CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 1703 - 1711: All Meat
"For Julie Sampton?" Rock Bell sighed and agreed without waiting for Jane Sampson’s answer, "Alright, do you want to also check who posted that video? The video was shot with professional tools, so it’s a bit suspicious."
"Okay." Jane Sampson responded with a hum, then said, "I’m not doing this for Julie Sampson, I’m doing it for Bright Sampton. No matter what, she’s indeed Bright Sampton’s real sister. I understand Bright; he’s actually softer-hearted than I am. Coincidentally, these few days he’s in closed training. I’m afraid by the time he comes out, the Chip Family will have smoothed things over, and he’ll regret it and blame himself. By then, it’ll be too late."
"That’s true." Rock Bell agreed, "I’ll go find someone to check this hot search thing."
After Jane Sampson put down the phone, she went to the kitchen with Mair Williams to get busy. Mair Williams, afraid that Jane Sampson would be distracted by this matter, watched Jane Sampson’s hand closely without daring to blink when she took the knife, afraid that she’d accidentally cut herself."
"Don’t stare at me like that, I’m fine." Jane Sampson flicked two drops of water at Mair Williams’ forehead, "I’m not a fragile person, and besides, this is Julie Sampson’s issue, not mine."
Jane Sampson smiled lightly, "I have no ties with the Sampton Family anymore. As an outsider, the only thing I can do is remind them to call the police. Beyond that, there’s nothing I can do."
Mair Williams, seeing that Jane Sampson truly seemed alright, breathed a sigh of relief and laughed, "It’s good that you’re okay. I was just worried you were overthinking."
The two girls laughed, and the atmosphere lightened significantly.
When James Black entered with Liam Woody and Peter Gingery, he could hear the two girls chatting and laughing in the kitchen.
After changing shoes, Peter Gingery rushed ahead towards the kitchen, "Little Jane, what delicious food are you making tonight? It smells amazing!"
"Meat, it’s all meat!" Mair Williams grinned proudly, "I made my assistant buy the ingredients, and I specifically got all meat!"
"That’s exactly what I want!" Peter Gingery smiled at Mair Williams, about to turn around when he bumped into the just-entering James Black.
James Black glanced at Peter Gingery, disdainfully pushed him out of the small kitchen, and then walked over to Jane Sampson, standing behind her, said, "What else do you need to make? Let me do it, you go wait outside."
Jane Sampson burst out laughing, cheekily teasing James Black, "You? What are you here for? A bowl of tomato and egg noodles? That’s all you can make, but I don’t want to eat tomato and egg noodles tonight."
Upon hearing James Black being so bluntly dismissed, Peter Gingery laughed heartily at the kitchen door. Once he finished laughing, he returned to the living room to rummage for his snacks.
Upon searching, he found that after rummaging through everything, there was nothing left.
"Bro, where’s the potato chips I left in the drawer of your TV cabinet? Where did you put them?" Peter Gingery shouted at the top of his lungs from the living room.
"Threw them out," James Black’s voice coldly replied from the kitchen.
"Threw them out? You threw them out?!" Peter Gingery flared up, "What did my snacks ever do to you that you had to throw them out?"
"Because if left in the house, your sister-in-law gets tempted," Liam Woody provided for James Black, "When the Chief isn’t home, your sister-in-law will sneak snacks."
"..." With such reasoning, Peter Gingery found himself at a loss for words.
Yes, if there are any snacks at home, once Jane Sampson finds out, she will definitely sneak some. Thus, disposing of them is the best solution.
But the issue is, couldn’t he just throw it back to him?! How did they end up as trash?
Next time he goes out, who knows when that’ll be!
