CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 1369 - 1377: Why It’s Not Good
"Is it your little darling?" Jane Sampson’s finger pointed towards what James Black was pointing at with his finger—naturally, it was referring to the leaf card she had given him.
James Black arched an eyebrow, not replying with a yes or a no, but instead asked, "And then?"
Jane Sampson withdrew her hand, her index finger tapping her thumb, her voice soft and coquettish, "Then am I your big darling?"
After he clearly heard what Jane Sampson said, James Black laughed softly, "It isn’t, you are."
Of course, James Black didn’t expect someone who had drunk too much to be able to think that quickly, so he explained it more clearly in his next sentence.
"I only have you as my treasure."
The person who understood this leapt into his arms the next second, excited and bouncing around like a child.
"James Black, Mair Williams said our terms of address for each other are too distant, so how about we change them to something better?" Jane Sampson tiptoed intending to kiss James Black, but he pushed her away with one finger, eliciting a disgruntled hum from her, before she continued, "From now on, can you call me ’treasure’?"
"No," James Black rejected instantly, and then with a gentle lift, he picked up Jane Sampson and carried her straight to the master bedroom’s bathroom.
Other people’s wives, when they’ve had too much to drink, either cause a commotion or go to sleep, but his wife, when she’s had too much, is just one word: coy.
"Why not?" Jane Sampson had no idea that she had been carried into the bathroom in a ’Great General carrying’ fashion by James Black and kept tugging at him, asking why not.
"From now on you call me ’treasure’, and I call you ’husband’, I won’t call you by your name and surname ’James Black’ anymore." Jane Sampson’s eyes gleamed as she looked at James Black, "Isn’t that nice?"
James Black bent down to squeeze toothpaste for Jane Sampson, and as she opened her mouth to talk, he put the toothbrush into her mouth, murmuring, "Brush your teeth."
Jane Sampson reflexively held the toothbrush in her mouth and began to brush, but her eyes were still glued piercingly and brightly on James Black.
And her other hand was gently shaking James Black’s sleeve, seeing James Black look her way, she blinked at him innocently.
James Black just stood there watching her, and for a long while, he simply couldn’t take a step away from the bathroom.
When Jane Sampson had nearly brushed her teeth to transparency, James Black reached out to take her toothbrush away and gave her a cup of warm water to rinse her mouth.
He said, "Only when it’s just the two of us, you can."
He paused, then added, "And don’t call me by my name anymore."
After speaking, James Black saw Jane Sampson grinning foolishly at him, heh-heh, and then she gulped down a large swig of mouthwash.
"Go wash your face, get back to bed for some rest early, and if you drink like this again, see how I deal with you." The man, with a very nasty tone, twisted the towel in his hand, held his wife’s head with one hand, and gently wiped her face with the other, then led the wife, who was still laughing like an idiot, back to the bedroom.
Jane Sampson was very happy in her heart, so happy that she couldn’t even remember when she had run to the cloakroom to change into pajamas, nor how she was then led out by James Black, who had grown impatient waiting outside.
Naturally, she also didn’t remember how James Black carried her to bed and covered her with a quilt.
All Jane Sampson remembered was how happy she was, and so she kept grinning and heh-heh-heh laughing.
When she came back to her senses again, she was already enveloped in the warmth of James Black’s arms.
She wrapped her arms around James Black’s waist, whispering softly, "James Black, I really like you~"
