"I am merely stating a fact. What, is it forbidden to speak the truth these days?" Julie Sampton replied with a sneer. "Indeed, Jane Sampson is our family’s foster daughter. Not even she knows who her birth parents are. Did I say anything wrong?"

Father Sampton tapped gently on the tabletop, his voice stern, "Julie Sampton, shut your mouth."

The Smith Family was shocked; they looked back and forth from Jane Sampson to Julie Sampton and finally turned their gaze toward Old Sir Sampton.

However, now that the words had been spoken and considering that the two families were to become in-laws, and Julie Sampton chose this time to reveal the matter herself, Old Sir Sampton also knew that it was impossible to keep it a secret any longer.

"Indeed, Jane is the foster daughter of our Sampton Family, but she has grown up in our house from a young age. Although she is a foster daughter, in our hearts, she is no different from her sister."
