CEO's Reborn Wife
Chapter 1351 - 1359: My apologies, my apologies
"No way." Liam Woody couldn’t help but stand next to her, struggling to hold back his laughter.
Even with the addition of Mair Williams, Jane Sampson is still the bravest girl Liam Woody has ever seen.
"We’ve been married for a long time now," Jane Sampson explained, "I don’t have your abilities though."
"Been married a long time? Who are you kidding?" Mair Williams didn’t believe a bit, "Back when we were filming the show, I didn’t see any sign of it. If you’d been married for a long time, then when Black Face was punishing us two, he was standing right there watching."
"Justice overrides kinship." Jane Sampson shrugged and spread out her hands.
Mair Williams gave James Black a thumbs up; for a husband to act like this, his courage is commendable.
Then, Mair Williams turned to ask Jane Sampson, "Even with all that happened, you didn’t make him kneel on durians at home?"
Jane Sampson continued shaking her head; not only did she not make James Black kneel on durians, but when they got back, he turned the tables and cleaned her out instead.
"That really is astonishing news." Mair Williams still couldn’t quite believe it, "Back when we recorded the show, I felt you had connections with the guard team, so later when I wanted to get in touch with Liam Woody, I went straight to you for his contact information. I had no idea you had Chief Black backing you."
Mair Williams patted Jane Sampson’s shoulder, "Chief’s wife, my apologies, my apologies."
"Average, just average." Jane Sampson and Mair Williams looked at each other and laughed. Two good friends immediately hugged each other, "Little Delight, welcome to the team Sister-in-laws! We’re a really affectionate bunch!" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
After finishing, Jane Sampson looked over at James Black and said, "A visitor from afar, let me host, um, you go do whatever you and Liam Woody need to do, don’t mind us."
Thinking it over, she added, "And don’t you come back this evening either, let’s all have dinner together, have a good chat."
Mair Williams looked helplessly at Liam Woody and shook her head, "No choice, I just brought him back for a bit, but we’ll have to leave soon. This is the guard team, I can’t just stay if I want to stay."
"Liam Woody, now you go through the procedure, bring the application to me, I’ll approve it," said James Black, "I will take the guest to the shooting range first; you can come to us when you’re ready."
"Yes! Thank you, Chief!" Liam Woody rejoiced, grabbed Mair Williams who was still talking to Jane Sampson, and left.
Jane Sampson watched James Black completely bewildered, then bewilderingly let him lead her by the nose.
"Aren’t you the one who wants Mair Williams to stay with you? I agreed, aren’t you happy?" James Black asked.
"No." Jane Sampson muttered, "I am just surprised, I still can’t escape the fate of being tormented by the shooting range."
Sighing, Jane Sampson resignedly followed James Black forward.
It wasn’t until they reached their destination that James Black let go of Jane Sampson’s hand, he picked a small handgun and handed it to her, "I’ve already told you my requirements, in front of you are humanoid targets marked with the positions of each vital organ, I don’t expect you to hit those lethal spots with one shot, my only request is simple, just hit the target, at crucial moments, hitting the target, even just a finger, can give you the time to clinch life and death."
"Hm!" Jane Sampson weighed the small handgun in her hand and nodded.
"Do you remember the inexplicable text message you got on your mobile phone last time?" Seeing Jane Sampson still seemed a bit reluctant, James Black softened his voice considerably.
"Yes, I remember." Jane Sampson’s curiosity was instantly piqued, "I’ve always been curious about what happened after that, but I thought it was classified so I never asked you."
