CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror
Chapter 332: Demon Battle
Tanya wore a ragged brown cloak outside to shield herself from the sunlight and the heat. The lava in the Red River made everything dead around the area. The only thing that survived out here was demons and beings that loved the excruciating heat.
She stopped as she saw two approaching figures from afar.
One demon with wings. The other running on the ground holding a trident.
They stood in front of her. The ground demon pointed his trident toward Tanya.
"Who are you, Outsider?"
"I am here to see Bash." Tanya pulled her hood down.
"A human?" The winged demon said. "You pick the wrong place to be, little girl."
"I am not a human. Not entirely. I am a demon also." The power of hell exuded from her. She had learned to control her demonic side very well.
"A half-blood? Some demon really liked to play with human." The winged demon laughed. "But still, you have human blood in you and we can’t let you pass."
"She’s a disgrace to our kind. Kill her!" The ground demon lifted his trident.
"If that’s what you want. Come." Tanya pointed the trident at them.
"Two against one? It seems a little unfair isn’t it?" Solarix landed next to Tanya.
"Who are you?" Tanya said.
"I’m a friend. Bash is my brother. So you want to meet him, huh?" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Tanya nodded.
"Let’s see if you have what it takes to have an audience with him." Solarix swirled her hands and summoned a ball of Hellfire. "Show me what you’re capable of."
Tanya smiled wickedly. Her demon side was showing. "Gladly."
Solarix fired three Infernal beams toward the trident demon.
A barrier appeared and blocked the beams. The winged demon had used his own spell as well.
"This is not a place for a Rank-1!" The winged demon answered with Infernal Arrows.
Hellfire projectiles formed around him and fired toward Solarix and Tanya.
Tanya deflected the projectiles with her spear while Solarix teleported away using Demonic Teleportation.
"Teleportation? That’s a rare ability even for our kind." The winged demon smirked.
Suddenly, a Hellfire circle appeared right next to him. Hellfire chains reached out and wrapped around him. Waves of Hellfire shot toward the demon.
"This is a weird spell. Unfortunately, I am a demon girl. I am immune to Hellfire!" The winged demon laughed.
"I know. That spell is only a distraction."
Solarix stood on a high ground. She arched her body in a drawing manner. An arrow appeared between her fingers.
"Alchemist’s Arrow. Water Element."
The Hellfire’s Sealed Pit disappeared just in time for the blue arrow to shot at the winged demon. The Water Element weakened his Hellfire. It weakened him not by a lot but it was still noticeable.
"Alchemist’s Element? How can a demon like you use it?" The winged demon wrapped Hellfire around him and extinguished the Water Element.
Down on the ground, Tanya went in with the trident demon. Her spear and his trident collided.
If it was Tanya from before, she would have lost. But her skills were now better than before. She gained an edge over the brute force demon who only knew how to swing his trident with full force.
"What is this cowardly behavior? Fight like a demon!" The trident demon shouted.
"Cowardly? This is simply a winning tactic, fool." Tanya smirked. Hellfire went inside her spear and created a vortex of fire at the tip.
She thrust it into the demon’s chest. The vortex exploded and sent him flying backwards.
Kaera tapped her fingers on the table impatiently. Her pieces gained her personality. So they also only knew how to go in full force.
"This Tanya. Why doesn’t she fight like me?" Kaera said.
The black cat shrugged. "She isn’t you. She’s your other side."
"Fighting like this isn’t a demon."
"Why not? If it guarantees your victory then it doesn’t matter, right? If you learn how to use your power properly, you may not lose to Forus hundreds of years ago."
Kaera breathed in deep. She didn’t reply.
In the game world, the trident demon was being overwhelmed by Tanya. Tanya might be new but she was still a reincarnated demon. A piece of a game couldn’t match with her.
Kaera frowned as she saw another piece approaching the area. It was Bash. A Rank-2 demon.
Just from his aura alone, she knew Bash was very strong. He was even stronger than her at full potential even though his level was lower.
"You raise freaks of nature, anarch. These demons aren’t normal at all." Kaera said.
"Would you like to be one of them?" The black cat chuckled.
"Hmm."
Kaera waved her fingers. If Bash approached her pieces, she would lost for sure. She needed to end this battle quick.
In the game world, the winged demon and trident demon backed off.
Solarix couldn’t hurt the winged demon. But she could harrass him and prevent him from interfering with Tanya’s fight. If everything kept going, Bash would arrive.
Kaera changed her tactic. "Two versus two then."
The winged demon swirled her hands. He amplified the power of the ground demon.
His trident glowed redder as he threw the trident toward Solarix.
"We need to get rid of that nuisance first."
The trident formed a vortex of fire around it. Solarix teleported away to dodge it.
The trident followed her like a homing missle. There was no time to teleport again.
Solarix clasped her hand together and summoned and Earth Elemental Shield in front of her. The shield broke but it slowed down the trident enough.
Tanya jumped in between and deflected the trident away.
Their final attack proved useless as Tanya and Solarix could work together pretty well.
Kaera sighed, "Fuck."
Bash was here. A small child floated down from above. He didn’t wear his usual red suit anymore. Instead, he wore an aristocrat costume more suitable for the background of the game world.
"Unknown demons dare to cause trouble in my realm?" Bash smiled.
He pulled his Blood Mask away. His body enlarged into a towrering terrified demon.
Kaera quickly retreated her pieces. But it was already too late.
The winged and ground demon turned around to run.
Bash roared, "No one is going anywhere!"
The large demon shot toward like lightning. Omnimotion, Carrying Wind, Charge combined to make him incredibly fast.
He rushed at the two demon pieces on the board.
