Ezekiel put his shields down on the ground with a smile. "I’m going to ask all of you if you’re so sure about fighting me.

"I’m probably the worst comparison to Mara Leverstrike. I am the best defense, while she’s the best offense. Even our unique abilities are different."

Clovis nodded with a serious expression. "We are sure. We want to know whether we have the ability to fight you or not."

"All right. If that’s what you want. However, just because you’re with my granddaughter doesn’t mean I will hold back." Ezekiel suddenly smirked. "Now that I think about it, shouldn’t the grandson-in-law and the grandfather-in-law have the worst relationship?

"I should beat you up so hard because you’re stealing my granddaughter, right?"

"Not if you have agreed to the marriage from the beginning." Clovis shrugged.

"Heh." Ezekiel scoffed. "You are truly unlike your grandfather. He wouldn’t have been able to say anything to me."

"I take it as a compliment."

"All right. I have cleared the area. We don’t know how big the sparring will be, so I’ve asked not to clear the zone within a two-kilometer radius. This should be enough for the time being."

Clovis nodded.

"All right, then. We should begin." Ezekiel smiled. "Do your best."

The battlefield this time was the wilderness. They were away from the city, so it was fine to wreak havoc in this area.

There were a few buildings that could be used as cover. The first thing that the Libation Fiesta did was take out their food.

Yes, they were using the food first to buff their power.

Finally, Clovis, Jay, Reolf, and Freud were standing right behind the guardians.

"Interesting." Ezekiel smirked. "Come!"

In that instant, Christina and Ragna leaped forward.

Kanaria, Rin, and Angelia released their attacks at the same time to overpower Ezekiel.

However, Ezekiel actually hit their projectiles as though he smacked them back in their direction.

"!!!" The three of them hurriedly moved away to avoid their own attacks.

Still, their attacks bought enough time for Christina and Ragna to pinch him from both sides.

Christina activated her Provoke right away, forcing her grandfather to focus on her. His body leaned slightly to her side.

So, Ragna pushed forth, planning to use his own body to restrict Ezekiel’s movement.

To his surprise, Ezekiel suddenly swung his body back and smashed his shield into Ragna.

Christina, on the other hand, was quite surprised that her grandfather didn’t seem to be affected by her Provoke.

Christina stepped forward, closing the distance between them.

Ezekiel ended up ignoring her entirely.

"Wha—" Christina was speechless. She was already a Tier 8 human. Her strength had been boosted by the food as well as the equipment. Yet her grandfather told her she didn’t possess enough strength to threaten him?

Freud and Jay supported Ragna first to stop his momentum before they approached Ezekiel.

Both of them swung their blades at the same time.

The two swords hit the shield. They packed so much power that the sword strike continued to cut the ground for a few meters.

Yet, it didn’t manage to make Ezekiel take a step back.

Reolf used his speed to sweep in and bite Ezekiel, but Ezekiel didn’t even bother to avoid him. "See? This is what I’m talking about."

Reolf’s teeth managed to pierce his skin, but it wasn’t enough to tear his flesh.

In the end, Ezekiel tilted his body and hit Reolf’s head with his shield.

"Aoo?!" Reolf let out a small wail. Ezekiel planned to launch Reolf away, but Christina managed to stand in front of him and block his shield, resulting in both of them getting pushed back.

Meanwhile, the wound on his body had disappeared. It only took him five seconds to recover from that wound.

"Not enough power. See? Annoying but useless." Ezekiel didn’t hold back his words even against his daughter.

Christina could annoy him with her shields or unique ability, but she wouldn’t be able to pierce through his defense. In that case, he could really ignore her.

Even Reolf had a hard time dealing damage to Ezekiel since most wounds would just disappear in an instant.

Clovis, on the other hand, gathered his power into a single swing. He had activated his Abyss State to the fullest. His attack should be on par with Jay’s and Freud’s attacks combined.

That was why Ezekiel shifted his body and put his shield in front.

Before Clovis reached Ezekiel, Ezekiel found his hand suddenly moved to the side, locking his body in a single position.
